Valentines event

Totally agree and I can take or leave the decor.

We need an opt-out option.

I hate all the pop up notifications too.
I also don’t get all the puzzle pieces for prizes, even if I was competitive I’ve finished collecting all my animals, so there’s no incentive there either. If it was a new deco, or even expansion permits I might have been tempted. Plus as always a puzzle piece on the valentine event with no alternative for those of us who don’t need them, it’s not as if we can still collect them after the last animal puzzle is finished.

The optimist in me wants to say the pop-ups are there because it’s a new thing and they just want to cue you where to look and how it works, if you care. After the first time, it’s annoying.

10 diamonds is not that great of an incentive. In my group, the top leader board person already has almost 2100 points. I am thinking 1) they had many many many higher point tasks than I did. 2) they used more than 10 diamonds to rush and they are in a time zone that they got started while I was still sleeping!

Like others have said, puzzle pieces with no option for a substitute for those of us that have completed the animals ... not an incentive

Chick vouchers... not the most exciting.

All in all... I am not thrilled with the whole leader board.

(Maybe puzzle pieces could start being stored like the permits.... or exchange them for permits if you can't use them....just a thought 🤔)

A few hours into this game I have to admit it’s definitely brought out my competitive juices!! I don’t need any puzzle pieces but I still want to get to the top of that leaderboard lol … 😺😺😺

Another thought,

Surely the ranking is pointless when the tasks are randomised?

If player 1 is luckier and has a daily potential of 3000 points a day

And player 2 has a potential of 2000 points a day

Then player 2 isn't ever going to win even if they complete evey task?

As a real world example:

I will be at 2590 by time I'm done day 1

Top leader board is already past that number

Are supercell just expecting us to spend diamonds to climb a leader board??

Is it just another "if you have real life money to spend on in game diamonds then you can win" situation 🙃

Why does everything always boil down to if you have more money you can do it rather than just basing it on skill??!!

Just clicked on the ranking board for the 1st time

A few things stand out

1) I don't need any puzzle pieces or chick vouchers so whats the point?

2) you can visit any farm on that list

Point 2 is both good and bad

Good because I love being nosey and during say a global event I love the fact I can farm hop through the "recent contributor" list and find extra helps and goods etc that might not otherwise be in the paper

Bad because I have 2 baby farms I have intentionally kept private, they don't ever advertise in paper or compete in global events and often pass goods between the two or to my big farm

And now there will be 99 other farms that can suddenly see those 2 baby farms whenever an event is on!

As eyelashes says, I came here this morning to join the rant. I think it’s hilarious that the much-hyped new leaderboard feature is a big flop here. I need to go lurk on the FB page to see what another segment of the general farming population has to say.
👎🏻 The only time I ever paid attention to the boat leaderboard was for a while last fall when there was one farmer near the top of the list who regularly had all the special decos out in a nice display. Much more reliable than Greg’s farm. Otherwise, I am completely uninterested in any of the leaderboards in the game.
👎🏻 The pop-ups for this event leaderboard absolutely need to be an “opt-in”. I can’t imagine what purpose they serve other than annoyance.
👎🏻 What’s the deal with the random arrows flying through when the event screen is open? I thought maybe we were supposed to tap them like the balloons at the end of the event, but apparently not. They are another unnecessary distraction. Personally, I don’t need every last thing on my screen to include animation.

I completely agree with the suggestion of being able to store puzzle pieces. I never catch up with all the animals because I always choose permits and LEMs for derby prizes rather than puzzle pieces. However, being able to bank permits has always been one of my favorite things.

I do like this event format since it puts the control of timing and level of participation in the hands of the farmer. I could be a little happier with the product choices…so far (day one) I’ve trashed three jams and a request for lollipops. At least I no longer even consider trying to achieve those for paltry points — especially when they can’t be achieved in a single day.

Will definitely be interesting! I've just done the same, pizza for sale in each and haven't clicked the jumping heart image that opens the task line in either baby farm

....probably been paired with 99 other baby farms also avoiding it 😆

It doesn’t stir my juices… it just irrates the getout of my.  Want to delete game.  I want a nice easy going, relaxing game.  I wish I had option to turn it off, if I want tosee how I’m dounf I could check it out myself but popup is just plain, nails scrapung on blackboard irrating and aggravating.  🤬😡🤯

Just received an email about the event with a link for a gift, but when it redirected to the game it said it had expired.
