This so called leaderboard is dumb.
Whoever is leading has the luck of the draw since the tasks have random points and random durations.
I'll have 2800 points when I finish my last task in a few hours (3 Canned fish for 270 points). Right now, the "leader" has 3630 points. No way I will make it to the top.
The whole thing is pointless and demotivating.

I promise I'll stop griping eventually.....but Just clicked on the ranking board for the 1st time A few things stand out 1) I don't need any puzzle pieces or chick vouchers so whats the point? 2) you can visit any farm on that list Point 2 is both good and bad Good because I love being nosey and during say a global event I love the fact I can farm hop through the "recent contributor" list and find extra helps and goods etc that might not otherwise be in the paper Bad because I have 2 baby farms I have intentionally kept private, they don't ever advertise in paper or compete in global events and often pass goods between the two or to my big farm And now there will be 99 other farms that can suddenly see those 2 baby farms whenever an event is on! I feel an experiment coming on! I have 7 baby farms; none of them has joined the event. I'm going to put something "juicy" onto their RSSs, and see if anyone grabs them. My thinking is that we probably don't join a leader board until we join the event, but we'll see... Baby farm is fine, no visitors purchasing. I am getting random visitors to my rss though. |

What else can I say but Instant hatred for the MULTITUDE of pop up notifications relating to ranking 😐 Totally agree and I can take or leave the decor. I totally agree with you both. In my opinion this is the worst event of this type that we've seen. |

Just received an email about the event with a link for a gift, but when it redirected to the game it said it had expired. Yes; I've had similar. The email says the gift is available only until 3 February - email received on 5 February! I've pointed this out to Supercell. Team Hay Day must work to improve their timing. April Fool's Day is two months away.
I'm sorry but I must ask the following: Isn't it in the job description for Game Testers to test for bugs and fix them before they appear in game?
I can't expect the coders on Team Hay Day to be perfect all the time. Occasionally, they make mistakes and the Game Testers must do their jobs and squash the bugs.

Fairly sure you’re right, Cowslips, but I sometimes let my baby farms do some of the tasks in these particular competitions because they can be easy and fun. Now I can’t do that anymore. Yes in the first ever one of these task line events where we had over a hundred tasks in a que and like a week on the clock I finished my big farm and then literally just in time finished both baby farms (started them very late in that game and only because I'd finished in the big farm) Then when they introduced a daily limit I just did enough usually on those baby farms to grab the first deco and puzzle Now I'm paranoid with this newest iteration that doing so will expose them to potential visits😆 |

All tasks are done, if someone else had better daily tasks I can't magically make mine better

Its actually making me reluctant to load the game for first time in over 10 years 😖

Yesterday I read the beginning of this thread, before I opened the game, and I thought, how annoying can these notifications be? It turns out they are very annoying.
I looked at the prices and liked them without being overwhelmed. If I get one it is great, if not well I won't be missing out on anything big. However those darn notifications pop up constantly, which is annoying in itself, but since I have minimal inpact on my position, they're a bloody burden to put up with. I suppose it is an attempt from SC to motivate us to do all task possible with the use of diamonds (AKA potential money in their pockets), but then the prices need to be - well - more motivating, if that is going to happen. At least for me.
No matter what please just turn those notifications off. They are not motivating me to make an extra effort, quite possibly the opposite.

I hate all the pop up notifications too. I also don’t get all the puzzle pieces for prizes, even if I was competitive I’ve finished collecting all my animals, so there’s no incentive there either. If it was a new deco, or even expansion permits I might have been tempted. Plus as always a puzzle piece on the valentine event with no alternative for those of us who don’t need them, it’s not as if we can still collect them after the last animal puzzle is finished. Also the token map prize… how ridiculous to constantly have this as a reward |

Agree the leaderboard is silly. Even if anyone did want to try for it, someone who wants to buy their way to the top with diamonds for extra tasks will always be able to win it on the last day. So really, it’s pointless to pay any attention to it. Luckily the rewards for it don’t matter so I don’t have to care.
The event itself is ok, but honestly I’m getting tired of these events in general because they cause me to stop my farming and keep all machines idle all the time. Makes hay day very boring imo.

Speaking for myself, I “compete”, but only for decos and things along that line. I figured I would likely find some fellow aggravated players here. 💕 I agree the rewards could be better, though the final prize, what looks like an amusement park tunnel of love ride might be cute. But overall, this isn’t remotely one of their better efforts. And the leaderboard? Sigh. Really lame in all respects. Thanks for clueing me in, I forget who ❤️, so I am sure not to play my baby farm as I don’t feel like having it in the hurly burly right now. I will keep it off the leaderboard completely. |

i'm so not enjoying this event. The deco prizes push all my 'yuch' buttons. the added complication of the leaderboard is beyond annoying.
The first time they introduced this kind of event, it was low pressure, and fun. Now they've brought in the competitive aspect, and pretty near ruined it imo. get enough (too much, really) competition with the derby. And the blasted popups!
And it's another way into our farms to any old ne'er do well stalking leaderboards.
i've enjoyed giving thumbs up to the wonderful posts here! it's good to know i'm not the only one underwhelmed by this event

Absolute ZERO chance I am going to spend 10 diamonds per extra task to win 10 diamonds, 2x chick and 3 puzzle pieces - LOL!!!
What are they thinking!?
I have actually done every free task available on both days and have been in and out of 1st place several times.
An event where you win based on luck of getting high point tasks or buying your way to the top for rubbish prizes - no thanks!

Do people level 200 or higher still getting „feed your animal tasks“? I have the feeling, most tasks are taking a very long time. I had four tasks for the pie oven queuing up.

Is it highest points, because if you're say 100 points from finish but you take a 400 point task you are then 300 over the finish line
