Do people level 200 or higher still getting „feed your animal tasks“? I have the feeling, most tasks are taking a very long time. I had four tasks for the pie oven queuing up. I have had one feed a donkey task if that is what you are meaning. I have had several feeding farm animal tasks too.

But they improved the feed your farm animals tasks. Only 15 cows for 450 points.

Tasks have been either too low or around 200 mark. They’ve also extended the time from original 5 days to 8 when in checked a couple days ago. I still can’t fathom why they include ingots or tasks that take 12 hours or more each item. Ingots I can at least prep but not those like lollipops or jams. Jams reward points are auto delete for me.

It will be interesting to see how it ends Is it first to finish keeps top place Or Is it highest points, because if you're say 100 points from finish but you take a 400 point task you are then 300 over the finish line 🤔 “The leaderboard competition continues beyond the end of the prize track.” That’s from the info tab on the event. So, as I understand it, they want us to keep doing event tasks until the bitter end to see who gets the leaderboard prizes. Hah! As someone posted recently, the introduction of additional competitive elements is not universally appreciated. I remember when the derby arrived. In my experience, it was the first blatantly competitive component and a big change in terms of the pressure level. Prior to that, the most pressure came from the global events which were fundamentally cooperative. I know there are lots of folks out there who thrive on competition and feel that it enhances the game, but I’m not one of them.

I’m over this event‼️🤦♀️ I hope to finish tomorrow. Totally messed up the way I’m use to playing. All the pop ups drove me crazy.

So I finished to the end in first place, or rather to get the love tunnel deco, I totalled 14580 points, so it didn’t stop at the 14500 as in previous events. Tasks still on the board, I won’t be doing anymore since there’s no more rewards to collect. No cool balloons to pop as it’s saying event has another 5 days to go. I’ve already been knocked out of the top spot even though I reached the 14500 first. So I guess the next few days are playing for the rubbish prizes on the leaderboard - I don’t need or can’t collect puzzle pieces. Wonder what place I’ll end up by the end!! So it’s made a cool event horrible & competitive, & unlike the derby it’s not who crosses the line first!

I’m bored with this game now. Impossible tasks (multiple jams) plus a leaderboard of players who seem to be buying extra tasks with diamonds in attempts to secure one of the top spots. And for what? Puzzle pieces, mainly, that are of zilch use to me.
Fed up!

The Leader Board is strictly a diamond making business ‼️ They are playing on people’s competitiveness. I just hope people realize this fact. It’s like gambling, some people don’t have control. Usually I have no problem, and can finish in a couple of days with high score task. This time it’s all low scores. I am too busy to play this long. I feel it ties up my machines. I don’t feed my animals because as soon as I do, I get a task to feed or wake them up. This really was a bad idea. SC please reconsider this matter and listen to your players.

The leader lost first place to someone with around 400 points more.

Maybe SC could make the task event leaderboard optional? Those who want to spend diamonds and face the constant barrage of Pop-ups can opt in, while the rest of us enjoy the game in peace?

Do people level 200 or higher still getting „feed your animal tasks“? I have the feeling, most tasks are taking a very long time. I had four tasks for the pie oven queuing up. One adult cat, day one. None since, and I have 5 safari animals waiting to be fed, and 5 waiting to wake up. Instead I get tasks that are long. Some high points, some not. Had a busy day—going to miss a lot of available tasks today. I’m also disappointed to discover this whole leaderboard thing doesn’t end when I finish the event, but on the last day. What am I rushing for, then? If I’d have known that, I’d have fussed over it less. (I still need a half a million puzzle pieces. 😂). Sigh.

I have had zero safari tasks, zero animal tasks. I’m forced to use every hour of the day cooking jams. Not a fan. It seems I have to work harder. I even “neglected derby” this week by not even starting it. Can’t do 50% of the tasks when all good machines are full of garbage you’re making for the event.
This event needs fine tuned, pause derby the week of events. This will absolutely drive participants and not make us sacrifice derby.

Or have both for those who aren’t doing the event but like to derby, and just don’t demote anyone not derby-ing. Maybe make sure the derby for the week is a “chill” one, whatever it is.

A chill derby would have been good. I have not been able to farm a lot and it has been a bit awkward fitting everything in. My farm is very disorganised at present and I definitely am not interested in doing tasks after I finish.

I believe it is how disciplined you are as a player. With multiple events going on at one given time, it’s hard to prioritize between events. (Derby and V-Day event) for example.
I am more inclined to spend diamonds to rush production. This whole concept isn’t introduced unless you are forced to do more with less. The only way that is possible is with boosters and diamonds. Both resources are rare and limited on a daily basis so in order to compensate, you must buy them with real money, IE: diamonds or boosters.
It’s a forcing mechanism inside the game to make you spend money to achieve your goals and the “event goals”.
Don’t think the random pop up notifications are there to remind you of your place in the hierarchy. They are there to remind you, you are falling behind and you need to buy more resources.
Eventually, SC will figure out what works best for them revenue wise. I really hope it’s not what we are going through as players presently.
Happy hay day yall!

Well looks like it’s possible to get past the initial thought of max points by saving tasks and passing with a few 1000 points and claim just before you hit 14500. Hay day glitches ftw. But with my luck finding 6 tasks over 400+ might be a tall ask… in this scenario looks like way more with buying extra task photo hosting

I'm finding myself being drawn in to continuing the event after collecting the final prize. (It's probably the part of me that likes completeness; it's certainly not for the puzzle pieces, as I have all sanctuary animals already).
What I have noticed is that it's possible to complete a task and not claim the points before starting a new one.
In another game I play, some players keep items back until just before an event ends, and then cash them in, thereby giving themselves a chance of overtaking some other players. That doesn't work if everyone does it though!
I'm not saying that I'm going to use a similar technique in Hay Day, but it might be an interesting experiment. 🤔
Of course, it will be necessary to claim some of the points so as to spawn new tasks each day, but keeping back a high-value one could be a tactic, and then on the final day claiming points as late as possible.
So far I haven't deleted a single task, and have fulfilled my task quota every day so, in theory, I should collect maximum points. It could be interesting to see if someone else gets more points than me.
Just my thought processes at the moment...

First of all, thank you porg69 for sharing the above screenshot. Kudos if you're Speckyland on the Leaderboard with 17,860 points! In contrast, the current Leader on my Leaderboard has 16,480 points. I'm #7 with 14,500 but have changed shoes for sprint mode with 4d and 12h left. Good luck everyone.

But now the last score has been surpassed. I wasn’t sure it could be done but I have been proven wrong lol Big thanks to Cowslips for the detailed analysis as well. So how did someone that’s finished the event still continue to score?? Sharon was placed 2nd but managed to continue to do more tasks. Must be a bug for additional tasks possibly? ]

In previous Task Events, after we won the final prize, balloons were released and we popped them for diamonds. When I got the Love Tunnel this morning, there weren't any balloons and I was able to add more points and try to chase down the Leader who has gained 17,000 points.

After collecting all the Valentine rewards. Thank you : ) No balloon or heart popping : ( I didn't pay attention to the event. I went back to my own goal of upgrading all my quaint town buildings. Success!! Goal accomplished! Today I reached my own goal I worked hard to achieve. All town buildings upgraded! Sapphire is a proud farmer
