EDIT: Here's a fun fact about the two games. Did you know when Supercell's modus operandi was the "independent, small teams", the CoC and HD Game Leads would meet annually to discuss the games' development plans and decide which developer or developers Team CoC would need to "borrow" from Team HD? However, Hay Day was never under resourced because the HD Game Lead also met with GLs of other Supercell games to "borrow" a developer or developers.
When HD celebrated its tenth birthday, the former HD Game Lead, Game Designer, and Game Artist shared the above in an interview and gave players the best gift possible, the gift of truth! I'm amused how long Supercell was perpetuating the myth that "independent, small teams" is a viable modus operandi. They should've done then what they're doing now: hire more developers to create more content!
IMO, game development isn't rocket science. Please say the following mantra with me: More developers, more content. This doesn't apply to the players who don't want new updates with new content. justhayday.boards.net/post/27715/thread

For example, with more developers joining Team Clash of Clans, they did a major rework of Builder Base, a feature which was introduced years ago and then abandoned like the Town in Hay Day because of the annoying "small teams" culture.
Thank the game gods Supercell evolved to the current "growing larger responsibly" for live games. |

Let’s hope it brings some change to the town it’s well due for some improvement to give the players the love back again. I remember before mine was fully upgraded loved going into town serval times daily. Now days I only tend to use on derby tasks and events townies sit there fully serviced for days. The fishing area needs expanding also. Glad sc has or is employing more people with view to developing hey day for the future. So far we are seeing changes in farm pass, will be interesting to see what’s next this year only hope there is a balance to enhance the positive player feeling not all leaning toward making it cost player more. Will be interesting to see what this year brings

I have opened all my land, and saved the last one just to see how many permits I could receive. Only five (5), then they cut me off. I was hoping to collect more, so I would have a head start when they opened more land. What I have noticed, every time there is new land a HIGHER NUMBER of permits are required. If they would keep the numbers the same, people could open land faster. I have said this before…I feel sorry for the new players. I agree with everyone else about all the areas needing an update.

Alright, let's get down to business. Speaking of business, I'd like to commend Hay Day for hiring an amHayzing Monetization Manager (MM) who knows how to do his or her job well unlike the Game Testers on your team. For example, the MM has made the Free Pass road less free by locking 6 tasks since the event started last week. I'm sure many players will pay 10 diamonds each to unlock the tasks. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Well played, MM.
I'm in the minority because I don't need to finish the Free Road in two weeks when there are 22 days left and not all tasks are locked.

Locking six tasks on the *free pass road? I missed something. When I tap my chick house, I see the following six tasks which are locked but which I may unlock by paying 10 diamonds per task and are worth 60 points.
Catch 9 fish using fishing nets or mystery nets Spin the Wheel of Fortune 5 times Feed 45 sheep Collect 30 fruit from trees Complete and send off 4 boats Catch 10 ducks
My only remaining 60 point task is Open 5 mystery boxes on farms which I'm not doing.

I 🤔 that what you are seeing are extra seasonal/weekly tasks. They aren't needed to complete the road, but are there if you want them. Totally ok to just ignore them. Kind of like the newaddition of being able to trash a daily task and either wait for a refresh or pay diamonds to rush.
Hopefully this makes sense!

I think, this new farm pass round is a bit boring. I have no active task just six I can open, if I pay for it (with diamonds). Well that is not going to happen. Am I mistaken when I think we are given fewer (free) tasks now? IMO this latest money grab from SC has made yet another event less interesting. It takes game value from those, who don't want to spend money on the game, making them feel less welcome playing this game, that is essential a free game, while not adding all that much game value to those, who chose to spend money on the game. I just don't get the strategy from SC. |

We weren’t able to trash any tasks—we’d just have to miss out on those points if we didn’t want to do them. Now we can trash them and wait (what is it, 10-15 minutes?) for a different one. With the locked extra tasks, they are exactly that, extra. They added more options for those who want to a) finish faster, b) maybe make sure they have time to get to the end of the road if they’re doing the additional farm pass extensions.
I think those extensions (other passes) have fewer rewards than the main one (?) but require fewer points to get to the end. ?

I *think* that with all the glitches and the changes in monetary aspects of the game, that many see a money grab where it really isn't. This is an example of where there is a cost but it is for an optional benefit. On the other hand several options do seem to be just a grab... like no more offers for the huge diamond packages at big discounted price ($70.00 for 4000 diamonds- which comes out to just $0.175 each) which in turn can be used to buy more special deco that can only be gotten with diamond... Maybe some of us are getting more jaded in our 🤔.... |
