No actual info but I'd like to assume we'd get a couple weeks worth before Xmas day itself which would mean delivery by next Monday? π€ π€

Maybe SC is going to shorten the gift machine event? Last year it seemed to go on for too long. It became more of a chore than a fun event last year, especially since I hate doing boats.

I think the feeling depends on your attitude. If you hate boats, I absolutly understand you. But I don't hate boats and I liked the xmas event very much. I enjoyed that it was so long. So it was very relaxing for me to do boats and collect enough point for all the things I wanted to have. I had so many points from the previous weeks, that it was very comfortable to do for me. The easter event with the eggs was only two weeks and in my opinion it was to short. I was much more stressful (for me). By way of comparison it was very hard.

squirrel You're right, it's a feeling. I agree with arzea though. I normally ignore boats completely bc I find them annoying. They are greedy and give you little rewards. For me the last Christmas boat event was a chore, too. Tbh, after 4 weeks I felt exhausted and was glad that it was over. I am considering whether to participate or not this time. If we get a new Wrapping Machine there will be only 2 slots. For a continuous progressing counterproductive. You have to visit your farm regularly to ensure that the output flows. I am not willing to do this. Next question would be which rewards we'll get from SC. There were very nice booth in some vids from the content creators for Hayday but in my opinion it's not sure that we will get them all. I rather assume SC will offer the nicest booth only with a diamond package for real money. Aside from that, I have enough winter deco, no need for more. It would be nice, yes, but not by all means.

I wish the wrapping machine somehow also incorporated the town. Maybe town visitors could request different packages?
Having so much focus just on boats made my farm unbalanced. I had to ignore the town so I could fulfill greedy boat orders. That made it difficult to keep enough axes, saws, and mining tools around, and quick town derby tasks were too difficult to do.
I also had to keep checking on my farm to keep the gift machine running since I only opened one additional slot.
Great prizes, but overall it was a chore.

I am not willing to do this. Next question would be which rewards we'll get from SC. There were very nice boots in some vids from the content creators for Hayday but in my opinion it's not sure that we will get them all. I rather assume SC will offer the nicest boots only with a diamond package for real money. Aside from that, I have enough winter deco, no need for more. It would be nice, yes, but not by all means. For me the truck is annoying. Some boats are really greedy, yes. Especially with sugar, bread or dairy products. But most of the time the boats aren't as bad as it looks like. You have 3 helps for EACH boat. Where else do you have this? Not in town, not at the truck. With a good inventory and preparing during the 4 hours the most boats are doable. I think truck and town is often more greedy. And in the event it is less greedy, because each boat only can ask for 2 different product, as the third is always the gift. But I absolutly agree with you. The whole (was is 4?) weeks last christmas was too much. This was really very long. But eastern was too short. The wrapping machine looks different, so I think we don't get the slots from last year. But even with 2 slots it is doable. I haven't expanded the previous machines and it was doable. As soon as you chance your mind and forget about "I have to do as many boats as possible. Don't miss a boat. Don't miss a chance", it isn't annoying any more. Do boats in your pace. If a boat is waiting some hours, so what?! There is enough time to get some rewards. If there is a boat you don't like. Don't do it. Send it away without filling. You don't have to do each boat. Prepare gifts instead and you have a little inventory for the next. Or you can put it into other boats. Boots? You mean that Christmas market? For me it is sure, that this will come for the wrapping machine. And also this cute carol singers. This decos are also shown in the official daily news video from hayday. This deco is so cute. I really like it. I absolutely want this deco. I think we can get coins, permits, vouchers..., too. Similar to the last events with this machine. I myself want to have this adorable deco. I will concentrate on this and if there are more points possible, then I will have a look at the other rewards.

Well, I guess we have to wait longer, maybe SC took note of the complaints of the long duration previous wrapping station event. Itβs a pity because now the period will be shorter, so most likely more compressed, more stressful or less rewards we can get in the period that will be given to usβ¦β¦

ducktown2021 I think your guess is on point. In the German HayDay forum is of course a similar discussion about this topic. My guess is Monday, 11th of December, too. Per contra to your statement I won't speculate about the length and variety of the upcoming event. We have to wait, what else? I have to say the communication from SC is disastrous, as usual. No communication at all....π

squirrel Sorry for my delayed answer, it wasn't my intention to ignore your comment. You are right with everything you wrote, I know that. However, meanwhile I've gotten to the point where I am thinking carefully what to do and what to leave. If I don't feel like it I'll pass. Of course with acceptance to miss nice things. That's my personal attitude, so to speak. I am fine with it. π

donkeyfan No need to apologize! You are absolutly on time. π
I haven't been here since my last post, too. Logged in right now and saw your post. Perfect timing. π I don't have enough time to be here every day. I'm only here every now and then. Yes, if your fine with missing some nice things, then there is no reason to participate. I only wanted to give some ideas how it is possible to reach some things without to much stress and to much effort. I'm really looking forward to the event. But I don't hate boats. My guess: I think and hope: Next Monday (11th). And I think and suspect: only 2 weeks. (like it was on eastern).

From what I've seen the fact its a 'new' machine and therefore doesn't contain any previously opened slots does irk slightly.
Surely it's meant to be a fun inclusive event not a the-more-real-money-you-have-the-better-you'll-do event π

From the video.. it does confirm that we have to start over with the slots.
First 2 are free. 392 diamonds to open all 9 slots. The break down is: 3rd- 20 4th- 32 5th- 44 6th- 56 7th- 68 8th- 80 9th- 92
It would be awfully nice of Santa to offer a fabulously generous diamond discout package!
The 4 big decos are the carolers, snowball fighting pig, sweets booth and gift paper booth.

We all have to buy extra slots from scratch. Itβs a similar machine but consider it a brand new one. PC

Oh boy, if we have to buy the slots again that will be the nail for me. At least I have a great stock of all the products needed for the gifts, thank you. Guess the holy will also drop from harvesting crops if your barn is full, instead of the standard drops.
will only last till 21st December and no chick vouchers? I prefer last years edition if this is true.

I dont like this type of event at all, was hoping they were gone for good, too much effort for not much reward. At least with the newer kind of events, the goods you make are yours & can be sold if you wish.

Guess the holy will also drop from harvesting crops if your barn is full, instead of the standard drops. Per Ricky Burnett in his most recent video, we're getting a new Wrapping Machine so the slots we opened last year won't be opened this year unless we buy them with diamonds. What do you mean by "...if we have to buy the slots again that will be the nail for me"? I don't understand your usage of the "nail" in this context. Please clarify. Thank you.

I am guessing it means like the saying "the nail in the coffin" as in the event will be dead on arrival, and won't be participated in and/or won't be opening new slots again!

will only last till 21st December and no chick vouchers? I prefer last years edition if this is true. Yes, only until 21st December. Haven't seen any chick vouchers in the video. But this was only the devbuild. Must not be the same as we get in "real" But I guess there will be no differences in the gift shop. I agree with you. Prefer the last years edition. This year it is to short. And the ingredients are to hard and very bad choosen. To much milk. I dont like this type of event at all, was hoping they were gone for good, too much effort for not much reward. At least with the newer kind of events, the goods you make are yours & can be sold if you wish. For me it is the opposite. I am very happy we get this event again. My thoughts and feelings: It is so much more fun and relaxing. You are so more flexibel. No need to do your tasks every day, what feels like a chore. Less time today, more time tomorrow. No problem in this event. For me the other events are too much effort for not much reward. I hate, that I have to do so much tasks and get things I don't want to have or don't need. And no, you can't sell it. Boosters, decos - no selling. But if you want to have a thing that is on the end of the road you have to do all. And you have to do your tasks daily or you can't reach the end. The actual event with the machine is more flexibel. You don't have to do more than you want. You earn the hollies and buy exactly what you want. You only have the effort for the reward you want. No effort for things you don't need. And it is easier to play this event beside your normal farm play. At the other event you have to prepare so many different things to prepare all the tasks. Many machines are blocked for the event. In this event you only have 3 products you have to prepare. One in the wrapping machine. So you only block 2 machines and only for 4 hours until the next boat will come. The rest of your farm is yours. So I absolutly prefer the event with the machine.

Thank goodness for this forum! I wouldnβt have known to go look for Rickyβs video without finding out about it here. It was especially helpful to learn what the products and crops needed for the gift boxes would be. Happily, Iβve finished my derby tasks for the week, so I can load up my machines with cookies and pizza (both on the same machine ππ»), start stockpiling milk, save up lemons, and buy up lots of pumpkins, lilies, cotton, and strawberries in the market.
I do love decor, so I work for those. Itβs nice that the snowball fight can be out longer than just the holidays. Like Ricky says in his video, we need another animal behind another pile of snow so there can be a real contest! Maybe next year.

Itβs 24 days according to the event board. Itβs a pity when you cast a boat from the dock after the event started that the next boat doesnβt want any parcelsβ¦β¦
