Balloon Maker Machine - Boat Event

I'm also of the mind "too much going on" (I've also heard/read that a similar sentiment is being expressed among CoC players (I'm a CoC player and agree somewhat)).

I've found I'm not engaging in the valley as much (even the sanctuary)... I'll miss extra fuel wheel spins, not worry about daily tasks, etc.

For this balloon event it took a few boats (not my own) to get the notes to get what I wanted (expansion materials/products). I have secondary wants (expansion scrolls) which I may go for, but I'm not worried about not getting them. I don't have any interest in the decos.
One thing I am now thinking of doing is making balloon ingredients (though how cakes and clothing and burgers are used to make a balloon I have no idea) to sell in the RSS (10 for one coin) to help others who want the balloon event decos.

Lvl233 3 crates each requires 1 checkered balloon.

You speak from my heart. I wholeheartedly agree. That's the point. Being limited with fences and at the same time showing them on Gregs farm in exuberance. Yes, I'd go further and say that's really extravagant and braggy on Gregs farm. What's the sense of a cap for fences if you have enough notes? Not understandable....🙁

This is something I dislike very much in the game, especially for such special events. They tease us every time on Gregs farm with what they can do by making an arrangement which we'll never be able to do. It's always some sort of a compromise. There is no need to handle it like that. I mean, if we player have the preconditions to buy a reasonable amount of fences, why don't they give it to us? I see no sense in such behavior, only nuisance.

I previously had a boat asking for single guitars, this morning it needed four crates of 2. One of which was filled by a booster. One single crate, and it couldn’t fill a product crate, not it had to be the points one. Maaan.

At least this time rewards aren’t “leaving in x days”. More become available but the first ones remain, if I’m reading that correctly, and that’s a nice change.

I have helped a few boats as I am not doing all mine.  Can’t speak for others though.

I am filling others boats with balloons, but my own boats give me more rewards because of the first star. The filler gets the rewards, so keep that in mind. 

first two decos disappeared from the catalog as expected btw.

My Rock N Roll birthday collection is missing two stickers .. the lead singer and the meet and greet. Neither are in the Gifties catalogue. Are they likely to appear anywhere else (other than the 59 diamonds “surprise” option), I wonder? Does anyone know? Would be disappointing if it’s actually impossible to complete the collection without spending diamonds ….

With so many duplicates in the catalogue, yet these two aren’t anywhere I can get to them.

Yes, the meet and greet is on the pass road (just found that out), but the lead singer remains elusive. The collection book needs to be completed within 8 days 13 hours as I type this ..so I hope the lead singer makes an appearance before then, but not at 59 diamonds.

Let the dogs sleep, they don't need to eat all day and eat up all my bacon
Buying a booster card with notes, it can be useful for a future trade if not wanted

I got enough music notes for what I need/want, now, but it was exhausting.  This week I stopped making balloons and have just been looking to give away the ones I have left.  

I already had most of the old summer fair deco, so I got the one or two I was missing.  Got puzzles and scrolls.  Some EMs for the land and barn.  And I got the initial rock and roll catalogue deco.  

I don’t care about chick vouchers—don’t need to get all the birds, nor the other vouchers—I get enough without jumping through proverbial hoops setting timers in my real life schedule to get points for them, lol.  I probably have enough notes to get more dancers and maybe even a second car deco when they become available.   (And still waiting for the singer, too.). And…just saw a snap from Instagram on the dashboard here, that included a 12th birthday cake along with checkered balloons, etc.  Will we see that one, as the new birthday cake?

I do hate how the events interfere with derby play.  Hoodie and I are actually taking a little time off from the derby for the first time in years (previously one of us would cover for the other if we couldn’t both participate, so we didn’t get demoted).  But the events take so much and they (or the derby tasks) require so much that it takes me a week to restock and prep for the next thing.  The last mystery derby I had nothing prepped for—not as a strategy, but because I hadn’t had time to restock from the previous thing.  

Put me in the overwhelmed casual player camp, as opposed to the rah-rah challenge me and keep me busy camp, lol. You know…Clash JUST introduced a “hard mode” you can opt in or out of!  I wonder if HD could start planning and re-tweaking amounts and times, etc. to come up with something similar for us, somehow??

not surprised, as expected. Good for those who like  to spend money and keep the game going.
For me meanwhile there is too much going on while i just want to farm minding my business . Good i still can play the way i want and stop 
whenever i feel overwhelmed by all the events. 
We also complained while we have only few rare items like the windmill, the penny farthing bicycle and the red tractor in the old days. 😂

You read my mind.  Yes, I do remember how hard I tried to get the tractor and now I have several on my farm and several in storage,  I do buy some decorations with diamonds offers but I am becoming more reluctant to do that now.  I did get the lead singer in one of the packs we got along the way. I had no intention of buying it.
