Oh’ thanks elenelle for sharing. That gives more info and I might misinterpret the whole thing. I can still take the tasks that are currently appeared.
Below is MY OWN new interpretation, not counting the bug:
On this 1st day, when player logs in the game after Oktoberfest started, they see 6 tasks lined up and 4 tasks in the queue. This makes the quota 10 = 6+4.
When 1 task in the line got taken or trashed, 1 task from the queue moved in line.
When no more task is in the queue (queue=0), task trashed won’t be replaced.
In previous bday event, the quota was like 1000 (?) so it seems to always have new tasks after trashing a task. Now the quota is much much lower.
About the possibility to add new task in the queue: the option not appearing must be a bug, it’s just not possible for all players.
I see 2 possibilities:
1/ Hay Day team managed to fix it via maintenance breaks and the new day will makes things right again.
2/ Fixing it would require an optional update, which takes day for iOS to get approved. So even if android version is ready sooner and can be released instantly, it won’t be fair to iOS players to release the fix on android only.
In my opinion, this event didn’t start as planned. Too much confusion for a surprise.

How confusing is this event. On my event I can buy an extra task for 10 diamonds. It shows up under the task section as a plus sign. Wonder if it allows it to only pick extra one or keep going was going to test it but I trashed so many small task like last event. Got off to a bad start I can’t seeing me making the last deco lol we live and learn. Thanks to all for the feed back. ❤️

Did you discover the pig in a dirndl on Greg’s farm? I wonder when we have the chance to get her. I have a 450 pretzel feeding 45 pigs task. Impossible to do when you return late home after work. By the way, October fest is celebrated all over the world nowadays. Even in Berlin. Traditional Bavarian country fashion is big business and quite popular. And of course the original October fest in Munich is a huge tourist attraction. Could you say more about the pretzel task? Think I’m missing something. Thanks! I think the pretzels are the unit of the reward for the tasks? |

OK, I trashed tasks in Main Farm and finished with1410 pretzels on the first day.
I didn't trash any tasks in the Baby Farm and finished with 1650 pretzels.

Agree, but I already trashed them. Also have tasks now that finish near the end before tasks reset, I might forget to finish those tasks and loose the points that I need. Well it’s only pixels. 😉 Me too. I didn't know the game had changed from previous similar games. Total bummer. Last time it was "too easy" (took a very short amount of time to finish) and now it is "too hard". I am a tough customer to please. |

Ouch, BaulersGate. It'll be a matter of time when eveyone of us will get 2 jam tasks as part of the 10 tasks.

I have a pig feeding task that I can get done, but will have very short time to do the other tasks in time, and don’t know what the additional tasks are. If I would wait for the other products to finish and complete them I wouldn’t have enough time left for the feed 45 pigs task. this event could have been so much more fun, I think about giving up on Hayday at all now. |

I was hoping that each day would provide higher point tasks... but nope. For my 6 on the line there is a 160, 90, 70 and 3 of the 100pts. Doing all of yesterday's tasks, I did not even make it to the pitiful 1 map...
I am an optimist, but this is pushing even my limits! 😆

Goal is 15,000 points
We need to hit a minimum of 2,143 points per day to achieve this!!
Yesterday I did all 10 tasks available (6 on board and 4 from queue). No deletions. Didn't buy extra task for 10 diamonds
Day 1: 1,450 points
At this rate, even with buying the 1 extra task, it seems impossible to achieve 15,000.
So disappointing.

Day 2 is not much different for me managed to get a 500 feed animal task. All now are low point ones. I like a challenge. Totally loved the second one with 140 tasks was challenging pushed it with 4 tasks left. Really was looking forward to the next one. Was though the roof excited when it popped up. Sadly not enjoy it and like others mention don’t like being boxed in on daily things as weekend I say are for not behaving running wild lol can’t help being a fun loving aussie Hopefully they might make changes for the next round. Big waves to you all from down under.

I'd like to add:
On the last event I finished on my big farm in a few days
Because of that I decided to do some of it in my smaller farms
To my surprise I finished on both my smaller farms with not much time or tasks to spare
There is obviously no chance of that same last minute thrilling rush this time with the daily limit!
To those in situatuon where they believe part way through that they've missed enough days/ tasks that they can't possibly finish then why would they continue trying?
This restricted format has removed the fun

Chris, main thing to share with the team is to ask them to put clear instructions in-game re how the event works.
For example, many of us trashed tasks where our queues were full or where we wouldn’t think we had enough time to do them. Eg. Jam tasks, pig feed, mine bars making. I even trashed simple pie task bc queue was full.
If instructions had stated that tasks would carry over to the next day, I think a lot of us would have been happier. I know I would have. 🙂. That was not intuitive because of the timer at the left.

I am not. Or, I am still just very confused. 😂 I am going to pay closer attention today and see how many tasks, at least, that I actually am able to do. I am relatively certain I did more than 10 - still, with a very low point total in all. I can’t see any way I will get to the end of the event and get the final reward. I simply will not have enough points. Maybe this is the real game, trying t figure out what the heck they are doing with their Oktoberfest event! |

And another bit of confusion. My task queue counter started at 10 yesterday. Today I woke up to a new total on the counter of only 9. I hadn’t touched it since last night. Last night before it reset it was on zero. When it was on zero I was able to do four additional tasks that were still on the board.
And as everyone is noting - even if one is able to do more than 10 tasks a day, it still won’t get a player to 15,000 points at the rate points are currently assigned to tasks.

Today I had 6 tasks and 9 in queue! I deleted one, as it was totally useless (and long)… now I am confused even more. If I have a total of 15 tasks, does it mean I can do all of them? Or I should pick and choose 10 best? I don’t want to delete tasks if I can do them all. But I don’t want to do all small tasks and then not be able to finish all in queue because I am over the limit.
I wish they gave more explanations! And the official Facebook page didn’t give any new announcements
