I agree! Arjuna sounds lovely and very befitting for such a regal Hen Do you already have a name picked out for the second peacock? I was thinking 'Neem' which is the common name of another Indian tree the Azadirachta indica also known as Indian Lilac ...I've learnt more about native flora from naming hayday pets (especially safari animals) then I ever knew before 😅 Neem and Arjuna, sure sounds nice ... now I'm going to tap on all your critters to see their names

Exactly greenleaf 😅 For my money I'd bet that unless females are to be released at a later date that supercell looked at the colourartion of a pair of Indian peafowl; Where the male is the classic blue and the female is mostly brown with a green sheen on her neck And built on that to make 2 'impressive' birds rather than one bright and one 'drab' I looked deeply into her pixel eyes , my brown one is female. I am absolutely sure of it. Her beautiful tail feathers are from some cocky peacock somewhere down the road, he was showing off a little too much, so she went over in the deep of night and plugged them all. Those feathers are hers to keep now and she sure displays them proudly (no offense intended with this post, my imagination just gets the better of me when it comes to my Hay Day farm )
Oh my gosh! I am laughing so hard! Love it! And I do know those gals are super tough and take no sass! Lol.... that silly boy bird paid the price for sassing your baby! 😅🤣😂😅🤣😂😅🤣😂😅🤣😂

10 items (portions) go in You get the 40xp for waking the bird, not for filling the bucket, (same as other pets) There are 10 different levels of bucket fullness, (11 if you count empty!) So in theory you can work out exactly how much is in there by sight (not sure why you'd need to!) No matter the mix you put in, or how much is eaten, it always looks the same on top just higher or lower depending on how many 'portions' are left The animation for a hungry peacock is soul wrenchingly sad 😭😭😅

Got the same experiences. And my peacock only gets the leftovers I can miss. Soybeans 😂
case solved for now. I guess we get more species of birds in the future that eat from the bucket. 😉

There are several examples of Greg having "impossible" things on his farm. He has more than one of the curly bush, and fencing and decorations that we have yet to be offered. In addition, his display of train tracks is something to be envied!

I feel lucky to have gotten one of each. The brown one on my main farm & the blue one on my baby farm. I wasn't sure how a peacock would look on the farm. Was thinking it would be out of place. Now that it's here, I love her/him! They're so cute! Also love how they walk right up to the farm visitors, not shy at all! I only wish, when I tap on them that instead of running, that they'd spread their beautiful feathers. 🦚

Keep playing with the layout of its habitat 😅 Had to seal up the exit as it's walking range seems to rival the adult dogs and cats 😆

Cheers Eturtle 😁 ....to be fair if left to her own devices, and with no barriers in place, mine would rather wander off and be anywhere else but the habitat I lovingly crafted for her 🙄🤣😂🤣

I have blue on main farm and brown on jr. Love both equally! I am curious about feeding... It may have been answered but, I can't find it. I there any difference in awake time depending on type food? I don't think so but I put 10 different items in feed bucket, so don't know what he is eating. We have a choice of 11 items..... and I have not seen any difference. I get 40 xp for waking, but you have to tap on bird not the building to revive. There is no whistle to call. There have not been any tools gifted yet so xp might be all we receive. I love how the bird interacts with others and how far he wanders from his house! I can't wait to get a buddy bird for them now!

The whistle is there, if there's space in the bucket for food you have to scroll through every food option to find the whistle at the back If there's no space for food it should be at the front The type of food given doesn't seem to effect sleep times, activity levels or anything else Cant wait for a second one either! And so intrigued as to what other birds we'll get!

I just woke Neil up (by tapping him) and an axe dropped, as well as 40 XP, so it seems that the peafowl work in a similar way to other pets with regard to rewards.

I couldn’t find it in this thread, but has anyone figured out how long our peafowl sleeps or stays awake? 6 hours. The donkey is 1 hour. All other pets to date are 6 hours.

I have the feeling, with exception of the sanctuary animals, that they all have the same times. I believe 2hrs for the pets and 1hr for the donkeys.

I wish my rabbits and horses were closer like the donkeys, as I get lots of tools from them lol. Dogs and cats can be once a day and I would be very happy as it would save my milk and bacon! I confess there are days when they get a lot of sleep! Don't tell anyone though! I don't want the pet police coming after me!

6 hrs can’t be correct. For me it’s only that long in sanctuary. All others 1-2 hrs. I am going to take notice the next time I wake them up.

Apart from the donkeys mine match the growing time of tomatoes. I plant tomatoes and wake my pets so I know when they are due. The sanctuary are longer I am sure, not that mine get woken often.

I don't mess with them as the xp is just not worth my time and gift rate is dismal. I'm glad some folks like them. I just don't get the connection to a farm lol. Will make a note of the time however in case my hood folks want to know!

You are very fortunate to have short runs on your critters as the drop rate of gifts is really good! Not sure why yours are but happy for you! Maybe mine will want more carrots soon! 😁
