I'm assuming people with extra large barns were hoarding panels for months and now everyone is selling them because they want to take part in the current 3xXP event and just have to get rid of them as fast as possible. Also the free Tom booster we get in the Farm Pass every month might have determined people, especially low level players, to take advantage of free Tom to fetch blankets and rings which they can sell for max coins in RSS. I get between 5 and 10 panels a day for the last several weeks as do members of my hood. SC is aware of this and are supposed to be correcting it. In fb groups, I frequently see posts about earning coins fast and it is often responded with, buy Tom, use him to get rings and blankets. Sell in RSS for top dollar. So you are spot on with the 2nd part of your statement. Sadly tooooooo many folks took this to heart and flooded the market with the products lol. |

LOL, FB has a viewership in the millions for a still popular mobile game played by many, so I'm not surprised readers adopted the current META (Most Effective Tactics Available). BTW, I never thought I would use META to discuss Hay Day but here we are. ;-)
I'm enjoying the glut of panels in the newspaper because it's the second rarest drop for me with planks being the rarest.

I've had Tom for the past 20 days. Initially I was getting him to find axes, as I had a LOT of dead bushes and Tom seems to be the best source of axes when it comes to diamonds.
Once the dead bush issue was sorted I switched to getting blankets (while also churning them out in the sewing machine). Now and then I'll have him get something I need, but mainly I've been seeking then selling a lot of blankets.
This has been due to needing coins to build the five machines I am yet to build. While I could build them one by one, I want to build them all at once and am only 500,000 coins away from the 4,600,000 I need.

I don't think that's it. Why panels, and not screws or nails? Plus, XP is not much of a motive for higher level players with huge barns. There's nothing to be gained by leveling up past a certain point. I think people ARE releasing panels they were hoarding, but that's because they're now so common there's no reason to keep them. Same with blankets and diamond rings. I used to keep a hundred of each, and buy them whenever I saw them, but now I have less than 10 of each. Because it's so easy to find them in the DD, why waste barn space on them? Sending Tom for diamond rings and blankets has always been the easy way to gain coins. I did it with diamond rings as a low level player back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. (There were no ducks or feathers back then.) Something's different now. |

Level 15 farms selling over 100 panels in there RSS all the time........, I do believe in Santa, but not in the hoarding part as the main reason.

So it's a problem with the drop rates on SC side? I also don't understand why is happening this... I didn't do much wheating in the last couple of days and panels are also my very common drop, but I didn't find myself in the position of having so many I'm not even able to sell them. And I also never buy panels from DD because I want to avoid having too many of them.
Meanwhile I'm quite happy about the blankets flood in the DD as I plan to fill my barn with them as much as possible and wait patiencenly for the next visitor bonus event 😀. Sometimes I still struggle with the coins despite of being an over 100 level farmer.

Are we able to use Tom to ask for panels now? TIA. You are wright, Tom can’t get EM’s, my bad. It’s the part where people use Tom to get blankets and diamond rings. The number, but also the difference in the levels of players that I see in the RSS don’t make any sense for me. Unless almost everybody is “broke” on coins. anyway I hope that the panels flood will be over soon. |

I think the offer of wood panels in the DD decreased. But I'm not sure, so I'm asking you whether you made similar experiences. In Germany we have a saying:

Those are only the adds, when I click on others adds, very often there are also panels for sale. But you might be wright that the number of adds is going down at the moment. |

Blankets and diamond rings can be gotten form Tom in order to get coins to buy expensive machines.
Panels probably due to
1. 5 panels in free sides of farm pass every month, no nails and screws. It means 60 panels in a year over other SEMs which make unbalance.
2. People did not keep many panels in their storage since it is so easy to get them. They can easy to grab in the newspaper. (This is also for blankets and diamond rings)
