A few things about Supercell ID friends
Supercell ID friend system - OverviewBefore we begin, a few screenshots from Supercell ID system to help you navigate around and find the feature you are looking for. Each screen is numbered "SCID #*" that you can refer to in your post if needed. The round shape "#" or in light green shade is where you can tap to go the numbered screen or perform action.

- load farm on another device after connecting to Facebook
- see Facebook friends that also play Hay Day in friend bar
- unlock RSS slot with Facebook friends
- see Facebook avatar and first name of players (amongst your friends or in Daily Dirt)
- you can like other farms without Facebook now
Your friends added by Farm Tag (found in Friend Book) remain your friends. They are not affected by Facebook removal.
2. Can I still add friend by sharing my Farm Tag (from Friend Book)Totally. The Friend Book limit has been raised to 500 with November 2021 update.
If a player is already friend with you via Friend Book, it is not necessary to have them as SC ID friend as well.
3. What is the purpose of SC ID?SC ID is Supercell's in house solution to let people save game progress and be able to continue playing on another device and/or cross platform (iOS/Android). As a consequence, it makes switching between different account easier. Currently, player can also add others as SC ID friends for extra benefits.
Each time you log in with SC ID, if the account is not remembered on the device, a code will be sent to the email. That same code must be entered in the game to let you load the game.
Important note: the code is
clearly displayed in email notification, take precaution to not leave your device unsupervised as anyone knowing your email could try to load your account without unlocking your device to get to the email.
Important note: Once you connect your game to an email used for SC ID, you cannot change the email on your own. You must go through Supercell Support for any issue. Make sure to choose an email that does not expire (DO NOT use school/work/temporary email)
4. Why should I add SC ID friends?Having someone as SC ID friends unlocks new exclusive features:
- find out what other games they play and track their progress
- donate and receive Gold Pass in Clash of Clans
- unlocks RSS Slots in Hay Day
and maybe more in the future.
5. How many friends do I need to unlock new RSS slot? Each farm comes with 5 slots and a total of 13 extra slots can be unlocked by adding friends. The total of friends (SCID + Game Center) needed to unlock each new slot increased:
- 1st slot: 1 friend
- 2nd slot: 3 friends (2 new friends needed after 1st slot unlocked)
- 3rd slot: 6 friends (3 new friends needed after 2nd slot unlocked)
and so on.
Buying new RSS slot with diamonds does not change the number of friends required for next slot. However, the number displayed in RSS Slots is not always real time. Sometimes it doesn't seem to count your SCID or GC friend, especially after you visit another place and come back. Reconnecting to GC or making changes to SC ID friend list could trigger the synchronisation to display the correct number.
6. What happen to RSS Slot if I remove friends? If the friend you remove contributed towards unlocking RSS slot (either SC ID friend or GC friend), you will not lose the RSS slot already earned.
However, to unlock the next slot, you will need more friends to fill the void left by the removed ones.
7. How many SC ID friends can I have? Before Nov 2021 update, you were allowed 100 SC ID friends. This limit increased but we haven't been able to get the new count yet.
This is not limited to Hay Day, which means you can have a mix of friends playing other games and not only Hay Day. However, to benefit the feature that comes with each game, both of you must play the same game.
8. How do I know how many SC ID friends I currently have? You will have to count them manually. The current design does not display how many SC ID friends you currently have nor the max number you can have.
It might be easier to count them from:
My Games then tap on a game. It is easier to count here as they won't shift place when player comes online. Be aware that one player can be listed in multiple games. You can check their profile to see if they play other games.
9. How do I share SC ID profile for others to add me as a friend? You can share your profile by:
- show your QR code to others so they can scan
- copy and share your profile link
10. How do I add SC ID friends? You can add friends by:
- scan their QR code (obviously you need to be able to scan the QR code with your device that has Hay Day installed)
- open their profile link from a device that has Hay Day installed
- send SC ID friend request to your existing in-game friends
11. There are different avatars I see in the SC ID connection area. What do they mean? You will see some people that have a SC game character as an avatar. This means that they are connected to SC ID.
You will also see, in pending requests sent, an avatar that looks like a greyed out sad face. These are players that have not completed the SC ID set up.
12. I am prompted to send invites, but I am at my limit. What can I do?You can ignore those banner that the game sends to everyone. Swipe up or tap on the button to open the SC ID screen then close it without further action.
You can also remove existing SC ID friends to make place for new one.
13. How do I remove (unfriend) a SC ID friend? To remove (unfriend) a SC ID friend, you need to go visit their SC ID profile and tap on the button "Friend". A pop up will ask you to confirm the action.
14. I keep getting invites but I am at my limit. What happens if I decline? There is a toggle switch that allows you to not be sent any invites. This should stop incoming requests.
If you choose to decline an invite, the pending request on both sides will disappear. There is no other notification to the sender.
15. Who can send me SC ID friend request?Players who can send you SC ID friend request:
- player who has access to your QR code or profile link
- player with whom you have common SC ID friends
- player who are already your in-game friends (via Friend Book or Game Center)
16. Can I stop people from sending me SC ID friend request? The answer depends on your farm situation:
- not connected to SCID: you cannot stop people from sending SC ID friend request nor accepting any.
- connected to SC ID: go to SC ID settings and turn off the option to receive friend request. You might need to choose a name and an avatar first to complete the SC ID profile set up.
17. Can I have more avatars to choose for my profile? Or use my own avatar? This decision belongs to SCID team, which is independent from Hay Day team. We do not have info.
Note: A potential issue with a player’s own avatar could be that they use an inappropriate picture.
