Update: FAQ is finished and you can view it here: justhayday.boards.net/thread/818/hay-day-faq-supercell-friendsThe staff at JustHayDay would like to compile an FAQ concerning SuperCell ID (SC ID) now that Facebook (FB) login ability will expire. While we are not support or official, the goal is to be able to give you the best possible information to questions or issues you have about making the change from FB login to SC ID and connect with your FB friends through SC ID. In order to find the best answers, it may be necessary for us to conduct experiments using secondary farms. This process can take a bit of time and may mean a delay in getting the answers. If you have or had a question concerning SC ID, please post in this thread. Explain your issue as best you can. Please be careful if you are using a screenshot to clarify or further explain the situation. You MUST be sure that other players names and tags are blacked out. And it would be sensible to guard your own information, as well. If you have worked through an issue and would like to share your experience, please do so. Once we feel that we have the most accurate information to your questions, a different thread in a FAQ format to be created and posted separately. It is felt this is the best way for players to find the information.

Wondering what the limit on number of friends will be and how we can increase our RSS slots. ( right now that is based on number of fb friends we have that play hayday)
Will we have a greater selection of picture icons to choose from?
Will we need to use our game ID or our SC ID to contact support?

Supercell ID is great, brilliant piece of mind
BUT
Is it possible to delete/ begin a new farm that is linked to a specific supercell ID/Email?
THE REASON IS;
I let a family member use an email to begin a farm
they abandoned the farm a good year back so its available for me to take over (only lv 29)
I would like a second farm
BUT
They cut down every tree and blew up every rock
I'd like to have kept them
How do I restart?!
Cant for the life of me work out if its possible!

As it's only a level 29 farm it would not be a huge loss; I'd suggest that you simply abandon it and start again with a brand new farm. You can then set it up exactly as you wish, keeping all the rocks and trees. It won't take long to level up. I have seven farms at varying levels. Each is linked to a separate email, as is required by the SCID system. I simply created a new email address for each. Those addresses are used just for my farms, and for no other purposes. I hope this helps.

Is it possible to use your own avatar, the options are very limited at the moment I support this. Not only "limited" but also not very fancy. I personally like none of them!

I have seven farms at varying levels. Each is linked to a separate email, as is required by the SCID system. I simply created a new email address for each. Those addresses are used just for my farms, and for no other purposes. Yes, imho that's the best way to do it by far.
Usually it should be easy to add multiple email aliases to an existing email account for most providers, so having separate email addresses for your farms should not be that hard.
But long-time players probably have other issues. We have/had google friends, apple/game center friends, facebook friends, and there never was an easy way to tell whom of those are still active, and now we need to add some of them to the SCID system. Rather complicated matter (esp. for multiple farms on one device) and quite a mess for me at least.
If you ask me, I'd love to have SCID friends only, so I could be sure they still play the game. Looking forward to fb support being discontinued:)

The only friends need moving are FB friends, even then not all of them. FB friends implies you have a way to contact them outside of the game. Could you please formulate a (few) question(s) from your post so we can work on appropriate answer?

You should be able to watch the number of friends decreasing after each new SC ID friend accepted. You will use what ever Support needs. I don't know what you refer to as Game ID and SC ID (where to check).

I really don't understand what will happen with removing FB login. Are my FB friends no longer going to be there? Will I be unable to add NEW FB friends? Will my current FB friends be removed?

Yes. Yes. No one will be able to connect to FB from within Hay Day. Hay Day won't be able to get your FB friend list and see who has a farm attached to their FB account. If facebook is your only connection to them (listed in Social Friends tab when you open your Friend Book), then you have no way to visit their farm from Hay Day. Hay Day will stop showing you their facebook avatar and their facebook first name.

Btw, I can confirm the current max number for friends by SCID is 100.

Not at all. I feel your experiences are valuable. If we could present it in a Question - Answer format (even if the answer is known and won't require testing), it could still benefit someone else who is looking for answer.
That's what this thread is for. Collecting questions, whether answer is known or not. Testing on different OS and devices could improve known answer.

But, the limit is 100 so, I wonder, will the limit be increasing? We have 8 people in our hood with a chicken icon. I wonder if we will be getting a larger selection? The game ID is listed in the friends book. The SC ID is longer and listed in the SC tab.

Gymgirl, you don't seem to use FB. Is there a reason that you add existing friend in SCID instead of adding new friends? Is your Friend Book of 300 friends already full?

I am confused about the pop up message I get from SC also. I am directed to add friends to the SuperCell program because Facebook integration is ending. This is fine by me. What isn’t fine is that SC then tells me I can’t add friends because I have exceeded my friend limit. The in-game friends tab in the game says I can have 330 - so I should have plenty of room to add friends.
I find the whole process confusing. Not to mention the dearth of avatars and inability to add our own. I contacted “tech support” from within the game and for the first time found it was a bot. And a bot with very little knowledge of English or of Hay Day, so it was not at all helpful. I could not figure out how to get around the bot, though I tried most of the options they allowed me to select.
I hope someone understands what is going on and can help.

blackbrit Very well described, thank you for that. The whole process is indeed confusing and way beyond self-explanatory. I also think that SC should have had that in mind before cutting FB connection. Only giving a pop-up message about the expire of FB and a "hint" that the friend limit is exceeded isn't very helpful. That should be done better. Not a brilliant performance so far.

Blackbrit,
To be short, the limit of SC ID friends is 100 but not visible (thanks Jean) and Friend Book is currently 300 and visible.
You only need to add them as SC ID friends if you cannot add them via farm tag. Otherwise, possible but not necessary.
The current campaign aims to raise awareness amongst FB only users, especially those who don't have SC ID or any other method to save their farm so they can play on another device. If they get new device for Xmas and cannot use FB to load, they will lose their farm.

Surprised! In the last week 1 went from 10 RSS slots to 15 on baby farm and from 20 to 25 on big farm. How did I manage this?

I whole avatar thing is another issue. The SC ID friends often show up minus the avatar so I really don’t see the point. So, I am sorry to be slow about this, but I still find it confusing. How would I add these people through the friend book? It requires their SC ID for that, doesn’t it? I don’t think we automatically have people’s SC ID. Ive really appreciated people’s responses!

Apologises. I wasn't clear. Being Facebook friends implies you have a way to send a FB message asking for their farm tag that will be used to added via Friend Book. Eventually, when they appear on your last Helper List or simply in the same neighborhood, you can disconnect from FB for a short moment, restart the game, visit their farm via Last Helper/Neighbour tab then add them as friend by tapping the "+" button next to their Farm name. If hay day detects you are already friend via FB, that "+" will be missing. By asking for farm tag, you could also check if they are still active in game and share your super k owledge about what you learn here

Frog Thank you so much for all the effort you put into this topic! SCID friends limit should be raised btw.

Sneak peek for next update started, which means Facebook is very likely to be removed from the game within the next few days.
If you still have questions or hesitate, don't wait until too late.

I prefer shopping my neighbors/game friend RSS rather than the paper. Much more pleasant and relaxed. It will be sad to lose half of them as SC limit is 100. I truly hope they increase that low level quickly. If you guys can find out about that, it would be awesome! 🥰🥰🥰
