There are permits as the 4th and 5th prizes for the global boat event. Very nice!!! However, the booster prizes for the first three thresholds require choosing a swap or trash. Somehow, that feels like a mistake by the team.

First of all, thank you for alerting us about the event and I've updated the Global Events Tracking Thread. justhayday.boards.net/thread/1891/track-global-events-threadI'm speculating the boosters are intended for lower level farmers since I'm a level 150+ farmer and have all the Tom and boat boosters I need. I do look forward to winning the three expansion permits as I've been doing boats nonstop to win Witch's Hats to buy stuff in the Halloween Catalog. |

I don’t mind getting boosters, but there are times when we get them without having to discard any. I think that we always get some from Greg’s gift hunt that don’t require swapping. I’m level 196, and I don’t trash everything. Sometimes I use the ones I get in situations like this for later swaps. We always get Rose and Ernest boosters, and they are my prime swap-outs.

MiniGardener ~ I totally agree. These are gifts. We should not have to switch or trash.
Too bad they made that rule in the first place 😔
We need to buy slots...why? Sometimes they go right in and sometimes not. I rather receive something else...
Even a saws, I can keep or sell.

I stopped producing treats bc I have the necessary hats for those things I want to have. Corresponding the collection book for Halloween 🎃 there a some things I will miss since they are only available in the farmpass. Same applies for the shop offers. Too expensive, I don't support this.
So, if I stick to the collection book I assume the current catalogue will be unaltered until the event ends. No need to produce furthermore. Question from me....am I right with my assumption, or did I overlook something? Thanks for your input!

Some players (me included) are experiencing a bug on this event. Our rewards were blanked out, and the 'fix' has the event showing different rewards (no boosters or permits) but even these rewards are not being granted. I've reported it to support, but it's anybody's guess if they'll fix it.

I seemed to get a booster from the Wheel of Fortune that went straight into storage. I certainly didn't have to swap it, and it was available for me to use. I wonder if that was a one-off glitch, or whether it's been changed. I'll watch more closely in future.  EDIT: Yes; it's just happened again, with a Tom booster. Thanks Supercell! |

The same thing just happened to me! A WoF booster was saved without requiring a swap/trash decision.

It's happening for some other "prize" situations too (I bought a booster in the valley shop, and it went into storage immediately).
It didn't work for a red chest though; I needed to pay or swap for that one.
It's still a great improvement. 👍
