It's just too much... New county fair and task event starting at once in the middle of the week? When the derby had already taken much of our resources? Truck global had big orders, now day 1 of county fair had some that went straight to trash bin. I can't speak for everyone but for me: I am in constant restocking for weeks. I actually miss the peace of having restocked everything that I used to have at every week end. It used to be so easy after the derby part was done and as I produced for myself I used to check on my in-game friends from other hoods and help them with items. I really liked that helping spirit this game brought. Now it's lost, it's almost useless to check if I can help people because I know I need the items for myself. I hate that I got to think that way... So Supercell, thank you for all the rewards you give with your events but could you please not bring so many events at once? We have derby tasks, valley, farm pass, county fair, task production event and a recently ended global trucks. Is it not too much?

I'm not exactly sure what all this adrenaline push is about though, but it seems to be rubbing a lot of players the wrong way.

These two seem to be a risky combination... one event is select a task and collect for the task, the other is no task selection, just deliver for it. I've already messed up by starting production for products for both tasks then collecting the products as they're made... which ruins the first task. This isn't the sort of thing I need after a long day at work.
I'm looking out for tasks with the same product. For example, I currently have a collect three rice balls task and a deliver two rice balls... they fit in together, but care needs to be taken (I already collected one rice ball without selecting the collect three task).

I like all the events at once. The more the better. You can choose yourselves what you want to play and what not. Donkeyfan mentioned that in several postings. Wonder why we have all those events? Because as long as players pay real money SC is making revenue. Simple as that. To bring the relaxing part of farm back to you internally you should ask yourselves the question why would you participate in all the events, or just be selective. Very often players are hoarders and want all, but not at the same time.
Once SC pulls the plug on Hayday everything will be lost, including all those pixels. Once you know what drives you to keep on playing Hayday focus on that and ignore all other things.
I know that I might be in the minority, but I love all the events, as long as they are farm themed. Don’t need all the bling bling. For me it’s all about strategy, management and farming under time pressure.

My heart sank when I just went into my farm to see two events running concurrently. Thank goodness the derby is done. Not sure how far I will get with the summer one, the other is easier I find, especially at present when I have time constraints. Certainly not inclined to spend 💰💰

You can trash the task from the county fair. Have 8 new ones in 2 hours. Per day you need 500 points for reward at the end and 900 for the daily 3 rewards. I think that’s doable. Providing that the slots in your machines are empty you can use the 2hr period for the event. Works fine for me that is.

A production task event will always delay general restocking because who knows which machine we'll need later for the hidden tasks. And now some basic ingredients are quite low because we played derby. Dairy is the only safe machine to restock "on the side" because i never saw dairy production tasks since the format began. Don't know about you but i have a barn of about 3800 or 3850. I can't hoard too much in it. I wonder how hard it is for players with even smaller barn space to keep up. We knew since the Dairy News video that a task event and two county fairs will be this month but it's only the 11th. They could have put one per week.

I appreciate that we are probably in a minority. I have time on my hands, so I enjoy strategy, management and farming whilst being careful of timing, etc. I've already taken the decision that the sticker collection isn't important to me. Once you fail to complete one page the precedent is set to not worry about future ones. (I long ago accepted that my fishing book will never be complete!) I have said all along (including on the old Supercell Forum) that one of the strengths of Hay Day is that you can choose how to play. I don't believe that has changed, but I understand it can be hard to ignore some elements of the game.

Supercell, if you are reading this, are you going to extend the times needed to meet the goals if we come up short? Because, guess what? This is the precedent you have set.

But I hardly make any products with my machines. And with hoarders I ment that players want all the rewards. Sometimes when it’s too much you should be selective in what you take. It’s just like in real life.

The HAYDAY letters are a good example. Took some time but in the end they showed up again. Same will be for the decos in the deco collection book is my best guess.

I like these events, but two (/plus derby and sanctuary) is one too many for me. Instead of being a fun addition it makes playing rather stressful. I know, I can opt out of one or more events, I just choose not to. So I guess it is my own fault.

It was not my intention to create a tear among forum users. Just to point out that for some of us the pace is becoming hard to keep up with and it could have been avoided easily. I love playing events, I look forward for them to start and wish to be able to play them. Please do not fight over my plea. It was meant as constructing criticism, for a better exeprience in the future.

It’s just players expressing their opinions. 😉 For new players there is a lot to do, for the 10+ years in Hayday players I think the more events is a delight. They don’t have to focus on getting pets, sanctuary animals, machines, town etc etc. when I started playing Hayday there was just the farm, the truck and road side shop. All other “stuff” came as the game evolved over the last decade. I guess that a lot of new players see that some rewards are not within reach given their current farm, silo and barn level. Some will hate it, some will love it, some will be stressed about it, some don’t even care.

I remember how it was to chase for coins to buy the next new thing. It was quite a good challenge looking back now.

If you look at certain events it would be possible to have them available at a certain level. Once you reach a specific level it could become available to you. Nothing else as crops, machines and buildings. You have to gain xp, coins etc to progress in the game. They already put players in groups with regard to derby and valley for instance. You only need some smart cookies that know how it works.

I’m in the same camp as ducktown2021 and Cowslips here .. I’m loving the extra levels of complexity these events bring to my gameplay. The two new events complement one another in my opinion and I guess it’s slightly easier as I’ve completed the farm pass and this week’s derby. It takes a different style of playing as stacking up production machines in readiness for next week’s derby is impossible, therefore a change of strategy. No boring moments while all of this is going on .. and I’m loving the prizes, have opened up two big parcels of land a lot faster than I’d anticipated .. happy PC 😺😺😺

Very interesting and entertaining thread, I enjoy reading very much. bmrPlease don't bother, basically I appreciate your concerns. They are legitimate. As we always in Germany say: "Es kommt darauf an".....translated: "It depends". So, every opinion is important and right. There is no wrong and no right bc it's a very personal thing. If you have less time bc you are working for a living 2 events at the same time can really become difficult to deal with. Especially if your employer doesn't allow short private surf-sessions. Here in Germany it's a typical case of " it depends". Some employer are generous, others are not. Additional every player has different approaches to the game. What I like e. g. doesn't mean that you have to like it, too. In regard of my barn and silo I'd have no trouble bc I have more than enough space. But I am very fastidious. I delete what I don't like by accepting the consequences. Meaning not getting everything possible. I can live with that, it's my play-style. I also fully understand that some members love the challenge being forced to manage this art of events properly, other feel overwhelmed. It's nothing to criticize since this are personal feelings. There is one thing that could be difficult if you aren't able to rise above events and taking distance. You want to deal with everything but you can't due to several obstacles. It's something which can be frustrating and being able to deal with it isn't easy. I also needed my time to learn that there are more important things as to handle every event offered. Nevertheless I won't miss the game. ❤️🌺🌻😘

Wonderful discussion! Count me in the “overwhelmed, but getting used to having to choose how much to participate” camp.
Leaderboard! Ack! I think my least favorite elements of the game have always been the ones that focused on competition without any element of cooperation. The leaderboard is a prime example and, with the pop-up notices, it’s impossible to ignore. Global events have always been cooperative. It took me a while to become reconciled to the derby; but, happily, I’m in an NH that doesn’t mind going up or down a league depending upon the energy of my neighbors and the luck of the draw in the horse race.
The newer events and features like the County Fair, the Farm Pass, and the Valley are all based on individual interest/effort. I’m compulsive enough that I wish I could do everything, but as others have said, the fundamental principle of the game is resource management. I can’t do it all and still enjoy the game. Actually, I can do it all if I’m patient. I’m level 191 and a 10-year farmer. Very relaxed in the leveling-up department. I’m still working on my last flamingo, but I always pass up derby puzzle pieces in favor of LEMs. My barn (4200) and silo (4100) are not very big for the length of time I’ve played. My favorite short-term events are the EM truck and town events. I stock up and work like a fiend on those days. I enjoy knowing they are on the calendar and prepping for them — and then I enjoy sitting back for a leisurely restocking. I really enjoy opening new land and planning for its use. All the new events are making the land acquisition process speedier. Still slow, but at least not glacial.
For me, the primary reason to do anything with prizes is to get permits, LEMs, and decos. The deco collection book, like Maggie’s collection book, doesn’t interest me. I already have all but one of the beach decos (no beach space left, must be sea-level rise) and I’m really only interested in farm-appropriate decor. Because the permits are generally the thing requiring the longest effort, I complete events by necessity. Somebody mentioned the fishing book. I still have a lot of fish to catch, but I would appreciate some in-game clues. Couldn’t the book tell which type of fishing hole each fish lived in? I know there are wiki lists for this, but I’d like to see the book improved. Hmmm…maybe I need to head back over to Ideas and Features.
So, thank you to everyone posting here for reminding me of why so many of us are still farming after all these years!

After a few hours I changed how was I feeling about concurrent events. It’s probably because I’d opened HD when I finished work and saw the two events, but after unwinding felt more accepting of them. I got the summer fair one done pretty quickly. For the other one at one point I’d prepared numerous machines to make the products I had to collect, then when I checked later realised the game had stopped syncing with the server part way through preparing… annoying, but not as annoying as the leaderboard!

MacConnich, I agree the leaderboard is annoying. So annoying that my BFF (Baby Farm Forever) isn't doing any tasks because doing one means getting popup notices such as YOU DROPPED DOWN THREE PLACES or YOU WENT UP TWO PLACES which I'm getting and tolerating while playing the Main Farm to get those three damned expansion permits!!!
You got that, Team Hay Day!?

No change if so. It might be better for all that are bothered by the ranking moves notifications, a smaller table has fewer changes.

Trying to make the game enjoyable for all players is the stuff of nightmares! Agreed, that’s one of the nice things about the forum. No matter what your playstyle is, you’ll probably find people who are in a similar boat and can give you tips. I even get some tips from some of the more…shall we say…competitive players (?). However, my barn size is only 3500 and I only have one farm so a lot of their strategies wouldn’t work for me. Some days I have more time, some days I have hardly any. Either way, there’s usually something interesting to consider from others’ viewpoints. I know I’m free to express my views and that there are probably others (posting or not), who feel the same way. The more the developers hear our feedback (positive and negative) and wishes, the better they are able to make the game for everyone. I appreciate having a voice here, as one of the players who doesn’t do the other social media stuff. I know at least a few of us don’t, so we’re probably a “niche” crowd, but we can still be heard. While the forum isn’t “official”, I’m sure we are seen and considered by the team. Maybe that makes things a little less of a nightmare in determining how all parts of their playerbase feel, so they don’t have to guess? Or more, Idk, lol. I appreciate the respectful community we have built, even with very diverse opinions and preferences. If only everything in life could be that way. 🙏😊💕

My only complaint about the two running together is that I’ll go to a machine to see how long something will take so I can decide whether to trash it or line it up. But in so doing, I end up removing one of the three I needed for the other event on that same machine and have to queue it again and wait a couple more hours. Bleh. I try to be somewhat careful, but it happened at least three times today,
(Am I forgetting where production times are listed except on machines or out in wiki-land?)
