Hay Day returns to China's App Store after four year absence

Since players in China are playing a version of Hay Day published by Tencent and not Supercell, I'm speculating HD has a similar arrangement like Clash of Clans. In other words, while many of us are playing an international version published by Supercell, many Chinese players are playing a "localized" version in a server isolated from the rest of the world.

When former Supercell employees write their memoirs decades from now, I'd like to read the chapter about the heated discussion for the compromise they came up for the above issue. Exit the market in China and hand over the code to their parent company Tencent to develop a "localized" version for players in China.

Again, the above are my speculations because Supercell hasn't commented publicly about the players in China playing a different version of their games compared to the rest of the world.
