Hello All A couple of us are seeing an additional ad (aside from the top and bottom ads) appearing between boards on this forum. If anyone else is experiencing this, please post on this thread and I will report this to ProBoards. Thanks everyone. The ad placement looks like this (in the News section):

ICYMI, justhayday.boards.net/thread/2611/third-ad-boardsUm, the Forum News subforum doesn't allow us to reply, so I'm creating a thread to reply here. ;-) I thought the ad showing between posts is a new feature by ProBoards to encourage more views of advertisement. If so, let us support ProBoards by clicking on the ad banners so they will continue to host the Just Hay Day Forum. And long may it live! Thank you to the volunteers who manage the JHDF and the posters for their contribution.

I've moved my thread and yours here. Thanks again ๐

Update:
PB's have confirmed this ad placement is intentional by them and that it is permanent. It is only seen on some (but not all) of PB's hosted forums.

The third ad I'm seeing now is the Honda Talon which shows the driver and three passengers wearing helmets. This suggests to me the off-road vehicle will flip over at some point during the adventurous ride. Aluminum doors and roof are optional accessories we may purchase. IDK about you, but I prefer my car to come with standard equipment such as roof and doors! powersports.honda.com/sxs/sport/talon-1000r-4?cid=dis_ver_dly&pgrcd=&cmpcd=Talon_Digital_Q2&ofrcd=&celcd=728x90

I wondered some days ago about gaps between boards. Now it's clear, this are blocked ads. Is doesn't appear every time, only now and then. It's a little bit weird, though.

It's a bit distracting, but hopefully we'll get used to it. It's a small price to pay for ProBoards hosting these forums (at no cost) and the tremendous amount of technical support they continue to provide!

I'm hoping ProBoards' current business model is profitable. Otherwise, they might charge a hosting fee and Tahoe will have to pass the hat around and members of this illustrious form must contribute real monies to keep the lights on. Or Tahoe is independently wealthy and paying the hosting fees won't be a financial burden for her. Tahoe, I'd like to suggest you set up a GoFundMe account in case we need to donate monies to pay for the hosting fees.

Excellent. Generous benefactor confirmed. I don't have to lead a life of crime by selling my baby farm on the black market. ;-)

Annoying for sure, but preferable to parting with real money โฆ speaking for myself No, you're not only speaking for yourself. I join you, and without doubt many other members as well. ๐๐๐ชป IMO, JHDF will shut down not because it won't get funding for the hosting fees but rather from lack of discussion from its members about Hay Day. For some context, here's a brief history to the best of my recollection. After Team Clash Royale and Team Boom Beach closed their subforums in the official Supercell forums, two groups of players migrated to the fan made forums, CommunityRoyale.com and BoomBeachForum.com. IIRC, two players paid for the hosting fees. IDK if they considered using ProBoards. Sadly, the two social experiments failed because after less than two years later, traffic was so low the people paying for the hosting fees decided to close the fan made forums. In light of the above experiences, I was apprehensive when a group of Hay Day players decided to create this fan made forum around May 2021. Fortunately, for this community, the current social experiment is succeeding because there are enough members to support it with regular discussion posts. IMO, just enough support to attract the attention of Team Hay Day who in turn supported us by promoting JHDF in their official social media channels. It takes a village for a social experiment to succeed.

It takes a village for a social experiment to succeed. As we know, the activity level of this forum (and other game-related forums) is directly correlated with the activity level of the game itself. When there's nothing going on in the game, there isn't much to talk about. But when events and other new things are happening, the forum buzzes. JHD has been very successful because of it's membership. We've acquired 47 new members in the last 30 days. Many of those members (as well as existing members) who choose not to post, may just be looking for information here, which is great. The forum continues to serve its purpose in that way. As I see it, the only factors that will affect this forum's existence in the future are if the game itself or ProBoards no longer exists.
