My daughter didn't want her account and I used it for awhile and then she wanted it back so I gave it to her. I learned that you could buy an account through a 3rd party as long as it follows HD policy. I had been using hers like my baby farm. I bought an account knowing a friend on HD who has done it before and never had any problems. I am clueless about this process or what the policies of HD are about buying them through 3rd party. Well while using the account and trying to change the name and email for it they suddenly locked it for suspicious activity! And now I have to answer all these questions that I don't know in order to open it back up again. I have no idea how to proceed. Can someone tell me if what I did was wrong? Should I tell them I bought it? Any advice would be helpful. Tysm!!

Sadly, you violated Supercell's TOS by buying an account. IIRC, per the TOS, we don't actually own our accounts because Supercell only grants us a license to play it. I don't know how to convince Player Support to unlock the account you bought. In other words, Supercell may shut down Hay Day anytime and face no legal repercussions for reimbursing their players nothing. Please keep this in mind when using real monies to buy coins, diamonds, or decorations. EDIT: supercell.com/en/terms-of-service/

Unfortunately there is no way to "buy an account through a 3rd party as long as it follows HD policy".
Lynnk2021 has kindly provided a link to Supercell's Terms of Service. The most relevant section says this: "You shall not (or attempt to) purchase, sell, rent or give away your Account, create an Account using a false identity or information, or on behalf of someone other than yourself; You shall not use the Service if you have previously been removed by Supercell, or previously been banned from playing any Supercell game".
When a player signs up to a Supercell game legitimately they are directed to the ToS and Privacy Policy, and are required to indicate acceptance of those policies.
Unfortunately, as you have found, there are numerous unscrupulous people out there who are prepared to breach the ToS to make real money.
Over the years I have heard of many instances where people have lost money by entering into transactions with those who have no interest in providing any sort of service. I have heard of cases where the same farm has been sold over and over again, with each player having nothing to show for spending money.
I really don't know what to suggest for you as the next step. Supercell will know a lot of the history of the farm you bought. Perhaps it would be best to confess?

I was totally fooled by Googling it that you can buy an account!! I am now afraid I will lose my main farm. What do ppl. do in cases like this? Confessing that I messed up could ban me!

Google has just told me that it's possible to extract my own tooth - I certainly won't be doing that! Google needs to be read with caution; it's really just a group of people making suggestions - in some cases to meet their own ends. Of course, there's a lot of good stuff on there too, but caution is sensible. Only you can take a decision as to what to do next. Be aware that Supercell can see far more information than you might realise. For example, there have been bans for account sharing in the past, where two different players at opposite sides of the world logged on within minutes of each other. Good luck!

Thank you for the advice, I really appreciate it. As far as Google goes I thought with the introduction of AI it was a safer place.
