First of all, I'm playing Hay Day on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A running on Android 9 which I bought in 2019. I remember the fifth anniversary because a major life-changing event occurred a week after the purchase.
When I tried to update this morning, my device told me I didn't have enough space and needed about 600 MB more before installation may be completed. So I deleted the recently installed Reddit app and now I had 1.7 GB free space. Then I tried updating HD again and got the same error message. Next, I uninstalled Clash of Clans to free up more space and got the same error message.
And finally, I uninstalled HD and downloaded it. The installation was successful and I was able to play it! I also downloaded Clash of Clans and was able to play it! Current free storage space is 1.7GB.
If you haven't linked your Supercell games to Supercell ID, I'd like to suggest you do so for the above scenario when uninstalling is one of the solutions.
BTW, I'm putting researching for a new tablet on my to do list.

That's one of the most important things in case of trouble. May I add something regarding a new tab? ๐ Perhaps you are aware that I use Samsung devices for my mobile games as well. Earlier I used to look for the price. This forced me every now and then making compromises. Be it that the device got updates for a limited time, be it an adequate storage +RAM for the first time, but later on I had to realize that this wasn't enough. My advice would be....remain loyal to Samsung devices if you like them. Be prepared to "look outside the box", though. Specs, which may be sufficient at the time will become insufficient very fast. Meaning, don't make savings in the wrong places. Good luck with your research!
