The following is an abridged conversation between me and a player who learned about baby farms yesterday. It got a little dark near the end but I used the opportunity to flex my creative muscles. Enjoy. ;-) PlayerOne: ...I didnt know what baby farms were before today, and found this farm that was constantly selling 10x of every item for $1 each on RSS. I thought they were just really generous/trying to free up space. I’ve been buying from them and selling the items on my OWN RSS for OVER A WEEK!💔 I am so sorry to whoever that is. I feel like such a jackass Me: OP, please don't be too hard on yourself. Buying low and selling high to make a profit is part of the game mechanics and doesn't violate Supercell's Terms of Service. Using bots is another matter and DOES violate Supercell's TOS and bot users risk getting a permanent ban from Supercell. Your speculation about buying from a generous farmer has merit because I'm a level 150+ player and belong in the Hay Day Millionaire Club. Occasionally, I'd like to donate coins to the community by buying goods such as rustic bouquets, diamond rings, and ores and then reselling them for 1 coin. PlayerOne: when we revolutionize and eat the rich i will protect u with my life Me: First of all, LOL as I just fell out of my chair. Thank you for the offer OP, but I'm a prepper and ready to defend myself and my family when the Revolution comes. If you'd like to show appreciation for my post, please consider praying to the Game Gods and make an offering to them like I did recently. www.reddit.com/r/SquadBusters/comments/1ccq3wp/comment/l18vfg9/Glory alone to the Game Gods!

That made me chuckle lynnk2021 😺 While on the subject of baby farms, however, how big do you let your baby farm grow before starting a new baby one, and why? Also, how many baby farms do players generally keep? I have just one, for the record, but it’s slipped to over 100 XP so it’s more like a teenager or young adult farm now. I run it as a service farm to support my main farm though.

Five of the babies are in my hood, where their main purpose is to release townies for my hoodies. The level 102 also supports my main farm by making items needed (such as soy sauce). The level 41 (not in the hood) is mainly played by a 10-year-old relative, and is registered as a child's farm. By having farms at different levels - and set up in different ways - I'm able to test and experiment, for example when something new is introduced by Supercell. I don't routinely play on any of the babies. I hope this is helpful.

I play in a hood with a relative who doesn’t play derby and is happy to support my main farm with townies and helps. He also makes tonnes of honey and wax which he donates the excess to me. This leaves my baby farm as a support farm mainly for production of items like soy plus extra milk and bacon, etc. some events I do on both, eg, the Earth event last week, but derby only on my main.

pelecatmiaow 😺 I have also several babyfarms. Previously I thought 1 baby would be sufficient and I opened the 2nd farm half a year past my mainfarm. As time went by I recognized it couldn't hurt to give a third farm a try, that's now my second baby. My last baby, the "youngest" was "born" not very long ago. My mainfarm is currently lv 188, my babyfarms are lv 104, 73 and 51. They are all in my hood and serve my main with basic products and townies. My biggest baby has nearly every machine for lv 104. I believe I am only missing 2 or 3 machines. Due to this my biggest is a reliable source if my main is lacking something special. I also don't play my babyfarms regularly, only my big baby. I even neglect my mainfarm sometimes for the benefit of my big baby. Currently I am forcing XP on my smallest farm bc I am longing for the second donkey. My Provence donkey feels meanwhile very lonely. I try to change this ASAP. 😍

Thank you pelecatmiaow for the kind words. ;-) Originally, when Supercell ID was introduced to Hay Day, someone requested in the now defunct Supercell forums for simple step-by-step instructions for Android users to create a baby farm. I felt I could fulfill this request by creating another account which I nicknamed BFF (Baby Farm Forever). After I posted the instructions, the BFF remained fallow until I resurrected it specifically to upgrade the Town to send visitors to my neighborhood. I just noticed the BFF has grown to level 100+, so he's now an adult farm able to stand on his own independent of his parent. And isn't that what we want for our children? Thank you Hay Day for the life lesson. And glory alone to the Game Gods! P.S. Some readers may wish to hum "Sunrise, Sunset" after reading this post. P.P.S. Just for storage and picking up town visitors and that’s it. 99,999999999% of the time they are idle.

This is all sooooo interesting.. thank you everyone who’s contributed to the discussion.
A further question.. where your baby farms are in your hoods, do other hoodies interact with your babies, trade items in your shops or pick up your townies? Or perhaps you play in a solo hood? I keep my baby out of everyone’s sight, well hidden and secret, no friends or followers, only me. Any items I sell to my main farm can rest easy in the baby farm shop without risk of being stolen, except the daily visit from Greg and, occasionally, Tom.

Play solo. All baby’s are in my own hood. And some stand-alone but friend to main. They don’t do event, derby’s etc. So no one else can interact with them. If you use them with event or derby every one can find them and “steal” goods you don’t want to sell to others besides your main farm. Works for me.
