Earth Week Event Feedback

I reached the root cellar for my main farm today in the morning. My big baby had to wait a little bit longer. Eventually I got the cellar as well. - SIGH - 😎

Tbh I am very glad going back to "normal" farming. I made some changes on my baby and enjoy the new created "Spring-Corner". It's very cute. 😍

Since I am not longing for the permits anymore I'm happy with my cellars. However, I don't condone the specific obstacles which make it for many players very difficult if not impossible to reach the final goal. It's unfair in the end. 😕

I am overwhelmed with how much time one needs to put into this, if one wants the prices.

I made all the daily task the first couple of days, now I have more or less given up on it. It felt like I had a new full time job. Once again the balance is off in my opinion. Having to spend many hours to finish a 80 point task feels ridiculous. Also having to visit the farm so many times a day, is not how I play this game. Maybe SC target group is people who play on their phones when they have a break. I don't play like that. Normally I will spend maybe 20 or 30 minutes a day on the farm in one setting. Relaxing and having fun. I have the game on my tablet which I normally only have at home. This game is definitely not designed for someone who play the way I do and who doesn't play on the phone.

I don't think you're bragging. You're helping us to understand how the event works for other players. I haven't trashed any tasks because doing so doesn't guarantee new tasks with higher points. My modified goal for this event is to finish all tasks with no tasks in queue and see how close I get to 20,000 points in 1d 12h..

You speak from my heart. 
It is soooo much luck if you get enough points or not. 
The same assortment for all players would be so great. And is a must-have for such an event. 
It isn't fair, that some players can reach the goal and so many have problems with it. 

And it is really horrible and dissappointing how this event turns out for new players in low levels. 
The tasks are not adjusted to the level. So they have to do the same amounts for the things as high level players. 
But get also only the same points. 
So they get only the low points, because they only have the low point products. 
There are only some rarely tasks that give more points. 
I can't understand this. How should they reach the goal, if they only get low points. 
I know some new players and it is really frustrating. 

I would have expected, that the programmed code behind the event give you a mix of tasks so that you can get enough points.
But it seems like they didn't ever count what you need.

Every one who don't trash much tasks should reach the goal.

If you hear something new from Lavinia could you inform us?

That is a really great idea. 
Would help so much. For adding new products I can understand, that we can't do that, because SC want that we expand all slots. 

But showing the time would be so great. 

How you can have a look or add products donkeyfan has already explained. 
During the event I often use this trick. 
But I agree with you, donkeyfan. I don't like it. 
It is so annoying. 
You have be really carefully. And you are constantly selling and buying things. 
I don't like it. 


I had really luck with the event. 
When all my tasks for today are done I will need only a few hundred points to reach the 2 permits. 

I’m not particularly liking this event the way it is now. It’s far too much work / effort / time consuming for the rewards.
I’m now at little over 17,000 points, haven’t trashed a task but not sure if I’ve missed a few due to not being able to complete the daily quotum.

I’ve been getting tons of lengthy and boring productions tasks. Have hardly seen one of the feed a pet and none in the sanctuary which usually make for a quick task. I’m going to stick it out now but not sure if I will even try next time such an event shows up.

Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 I’ll make it to the 20,000 goal. I have finished all today’s tasks and have 1,050 points to earn tomorrow. It helped a lot that one of my tasks today was 3 feta salads for over 400 points! Now that was worth the effort! It’s tough having so many different time-limited things to concentrate on within the same few days: the end of a valley season, the spring garden event, the 🌸 derby, and the LEM truck event (one of my faves). As l26 says, unless you are checking in frequently during the day, there’s too much going on. I think the next pet they should introduce is hamsters running on little wheels to represent all of us trying to keep up with all the features. I pretty much ditched the valley this season. That helped a bit.

Cowslips has 950 points available after not trashing anything. With the amount of low point, high time tasks I’ve trashed, that’s not a lot of room to spare. I didn’t think I had trashed that much. A few jams, and some 50 point tasks I didn’t have time to fuss with, fill barn, line up, empty barn space to collect, etc. No time to watch ads, etc.

In terms of extra time…if they decide to do this, it would be great to know in advance so I don’t waste today. Basically I got the deco and have stopped. Gtg to work, busy day. Won’t get 5000 points in a day. If they extend one day, I won’t get 5000 points tomorrow, either. If they decide this isn’t looking good for a lot of people, let’s give some extra time, decide so and let us know in advance, please.

Or adjust things to begin with, because it feels like the balance is off.

Maybe the blossom derby with next to no 320 tasks is irritating me as well, lol. Double-whammy. 😂.

I have cut it even closer than I thought I did 😅

Well, I thought I could trash small and annoyingly long tasks on my baby farm and still be sure to get at least to the root cellar. Turns out I almost trashed too many! I honestly didn't think I trashed all that many, so much of this is probably luck of the draw re: what tasks turn up. I will get the root cellar on my baby farm, but only because I am doing every task that appeared today, and have spent a few diamonds and watched ads to make it work. There is no way for me to get to the two scrolls on that farm. But that's okay I guess.

As for my big farm, it was easier, though I feared yesterday that I might not have enough points to get the scrolls, and on the big farm I really wanted those scrolls! I will finish the whole event line on that farm. But I can say that on both farms I had to pay way too much attention to the game during the day, or I would not have gotten as far as I did. I didn't like that aspect. I am sure they want us in the game as much as possible, but this was right on the edge of what I am willing to do, and I certainly won't be keen to do it again any time soon.

The other events like this were much easier for me, with me finishing a day or two ahead of time on both of my farms. So this event has been quite different, at least for me. And not in a good way. 😂 Ah well.

I've heard it's 10 diamonds for the first additional task of the day, and it doubles in cost for each one after, so it gets very expensive very quickly, and you could get a bunch of low point tasks...

Your other comment about what the #1 player may or may not be doing is what went through my mind too.  Is it better to play all your cards/collect the points for the final six tasks and hope others are discouraged by the score gap (it'd have to be a sizeable gap), or wait until the very end to reduce the chance of others taking extra tasks?  Kind of like waiting until the last second to try to "snipe" an auction...

I have chosen not to buy tasks, too. That feels too random for too much cost. After all, you (or should I say I) could always get another juice! 

Anyone get a sanctuary task? I played this event with 3 farms, and didn't get any. Hope that task is still around.
