Hi! I'm TeaSipper and I've just started HayDay! Level 11 in fact. I have chickens, a single evil pig; who has taken all of my money and plans to ruin my farm piece by piece, even now I can see him in my dreams...waiting, oh, and I have cows!
Anyway, you know what tickles my brain in the right spot? Efficiency. Being efficient and finding new ways to increase efficiency is usually what I look for in a game. With that said, what are some methods to gain more coins, gems, or those weird star things? What I've been doing is growing wheat rapidly and selling it which granted me enough to buy the aforementioned vile beautiful pig.

I'm sure you pig will be much happier when he has some friends in his field. Growing and selling wheat is a good way to raise money. Be sure to charge full price to maximise your income. Welcome to Hay Day teasipper. My advice .. use any diamonds you get wisely. Spend them on increasing your production slots as those slots will last as long as you play the game. And, enjoy all the animals, their individual personalities make the game fun.

Visit the daily dirt often. Storage space is important. Save you diamonds for slots.

My definition of efficiency may differ from yours. One of my goals for playing HD is having what I need and the exact amount for boat, town, and truck orders for myself, hoodmates, and players in the newspaper. To reach this stage of optimization, I must manage my barn and silo efficiently whenever I log on. An artifact I unearthed a few years ago is a major contributor to my current optimization. I've learned for some people, learning is a journey of self-discovery and they don't want others to spoil the fun of learning by sharing insights into life or this game. I'm adding SPOILER PROTECTION for those readers who need it. Previously, I shared my discovery of the artifact with JHDF but can't find the post. Luckily, I found a similar post which I shared on Hay Day Reddit, so I'm quoting and excerpting myself to comply with JHDF's rules. SPOILERS AHEAD V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V I think every player fell into the Trap aka the Asymmetric Drops of UMs at one time or another. The above is one of the ways to get out of the trap. Good luck everyone. EDIT for atrocious dangling modifier.

teasipper .. another piece of advice that I hope you’ll find helpful. When you get your honey tree, don’t fall into the trap of adding too many nectar bushes. Keep your collection of nectar bushes small and neat .. Hay Day will give you enough axes to maintain a small collection but if you go too large you’ll end up with a lot of dead nectar bushes and insufficient axes. As you travel around the farms you’ll see some with big sections of land flooded by dead nectar bushes. Avoid this by keeping and maintaining only a few.

The sooner you understand that earning XP too fast will bring you lot of trouble later, the better you can control your progress. The biggest challenge of the game is resources management. Whether you choose to advance in xp without enough coins to supply your farm or stay low profile and gather coins as much as you can is really up to you. But be prepared for the challenges.
If one day you feel fed up, leave the game inactive for 31 days then log in again, you can get a few boosts ( reengagement reward). This is only introduced in 2023.
