My main farm (iPad) and baby farm (Android phone) are both presented with a welcome screen that asks "Do you want to improve your experience?" It looks like this is for data tracking.
There is a large blue button to "Accept All."
I don't see a way to decline. Suggestions?

If you scroll down you will see that 5-6 are activated by default. Close them and store your settings. I play on iPads. and yes it’s for data tracking, so a no go for me.

There are many complaints about this new "feature" in Reddit for HayDay. Some members are even considering to uninstall the game bc they refuse the extensive tracking permission.
About what I read there is no way to deny it. You have to accept and take the consequences. For explanation...Until now I didn't get this request but I think it's only a question of time. My advanced settings allow personalized shop offers and notifications but decline data sharing for ad personalisation.
I'd like to hear a statement from our staff, especially those with connections to the team. What do you think about it? Is there a way to deny permission? The required tracking is to a large extend with unknown companies which have nothing to do with the game. Many user consider those "methods" in regard gaining user information as troubling. THX in advance by lighten up this issue. 🙂

I haven't gone into the game since this "improved experience" (for whom?) question has been appearing. If it leads me to quit HD I figure at least I'll have time for other things, and money to waste elsewhere.
Wasn't there something like this not long ago, and HD/SC folk here (Chris?) seemed kind of elusive/clueless?

This latest round of tracking is taking me to the brink of quitting. The lack of any reasonable effort to provide a method to opt out is especially irritating. Grrr.
I want to play my game in peace, without the creepy feeling of Super Cell and their icky partners stalking me.
I'm already struggling to remain interested in Hay Day. I've met all my goals (high farm level, baby farms, start a successful NH, etc.). Nothing else to do - except help Super Cell make a buck (or Euro).
Time to move on to something else.

Sadly, your journey with Hay Day has ended. Good luck arzea with finding another game to entertain you.

But I would suggest waiting before quitting as Supercell is under obligation to provide "decline" option, meaning that "your consent is required" for such a specific tracking. It does not matter what terms & conditions state: any condition imposed that is contrary to the applicable legislation is automatically invalid. And I have no doubt that Supercell, (even after the sale of its majority stake to a third-country company) still being bound by the EU legislation, will go against the law. This matter is sensitive for various reasons (e.g., minors are playing), and at the enforcement of the rules Supercell can be hit really hard in case it violates the rules. A simple notification to a few entities would start the process, especially considering the nature of the matter. Thus, as said, suggesting to wait, as I am certain that there is an option to decline. If you cannot find it, I believe the info will come from Supercell soon.

Keep in mind that it’s 2 tabs, on the second one some options are also active if you do get the pop-up. Deselect them all on both tabs before storing your settings.

THX for addressing this so detailed. Yesterday I experienced this request as I changed my device. Correct, there are 2 tabs. Some required permission can't be declined bc it's indicated as "essential". There are some companies listed in the drop-down menu which can be declined each, though. Be careful and take your time when you happen to get this tracking request. Important at the end is only to approve the selected settings. This would be the left button. With the right button you would consent to everything, regardless to your prior choices.

Is this for the original pop up only? I am wondering if I did it correctly, and I remember the text saying something about being able to change the settings in-game. But I can’t find where. Anyone know?

I think the reason that this has been happening is that the Privacy Policy has been updated; it shows as "effective from 1 March 2024". You can see the Privacy Policy here: supercell.com/en/privacy-policy/

Anyone know? Yes, I had it on my main farm last week and today at all my babyfarms. On both tabs I deselected the default active ones and stored settings, so no active ones at all for me. depending your device you can deselect tracking for apps in the configuration of your device. Don’t know about in-game settings. You can deselect personal advertising, but the part that is important for me is the tracking via the game.

I have tracking turned off or ‘deselected’ as it says for all apps on my iPad.

I have tracking turned off or ‘deselected’ as it says for all apps on my iPad. Thanks to both ducktown2021 and 🌼GymGirl🌺, I sorted out that on my iPad I could go to Privacy &Security -> Tracking and make sure that tracking was turned off - as GymGirl says - for all my apps. Hay Day was listed as having requested permission to track, but my iPad is blocking it.

This is similar to how websites in EU are asking/informing visitors about the use of cookies to track browsing data. I'm gathering info to better explain different options player can do for the case of Hay Day. In the mean time, you could inform yourself via keyword "cookie law" or "cookie consent policy".
