Please bear with me.... lol
I have not done the uninstall/reinstall in many year's. It's the only thing I haven't tried. I *thought* all i had to do was go to the icon, Uninstaller then go back to the play store and reinstall. I remember that before I had to start from the beginning and Olay through a few tutorials and the a message popped up about my game level such and such....
So... I did Uninstall and reinstalled... but it didn't make me start over. It just picked up where I was. No asking about sc ID or anything. Is this the way it is now days?
Next question is about SC friends.... i cannot seem to add my real life sister in law with her SC ID, just with her regular farm tag. If I search by her ID number, it says nothing found. But her regular tag works fine. No problems using that to invite her to the neighborhood or her accepting.
Any ideas?

emailkathy With reference to uninstall and reinstall...I made the same experience some time ago. I changed my "old" Samsung device and was instantly at the very point on the new tab where I left the old one. I was surprised but also relieved, thanks to up-to-date technique. 😉 Sadly I can't answer your second question bc I am not very experienced regarding this matter.

On an apple device, if you uninstall the game, it’s going to the cloud and if you reinstall, you have it all back immediately.
But, did the procedure solve your problem? Did you switch off your device and on again between reinstalling?

No... nothing has worked! Makes me feel so frustrated 😠 if I wasn't gray headed already this would do it. The main reason for wanting to add the sister in law with her sc id... I bought a farm pass from the SC store so I could donate it to her... but you can only donate to sc id friends. Of course I can use it myself next month, so not a total loss.... Just one vicious glitchy mess.
It was several years and many updates ago that I did the Uninstall thing. When I did it before, after installing it I started out with the original note and after a couple tutorials it popped up with the we found a farm level whatever... do you want this farm. That *used to* fix a bunch of glitches .
Thanks again for any idea you can come up with!

I'll answer both questions, but what you experienced is not a glitch for uninstalling to fix.
On Android, nowadays (since several years), you will need to Clear Data so a fresh farm can be started. Simple uninstalling still keep some details about your previous farm on your device.
SC ID friends cannot be added the same way as farm tag. You need to add through SC ID own interface, either by scanning her QR code, send invite or to click on the SC ID ad friends link she sent you.
Have you checked the SCID friends Guide in Community Guides section yet?

I did NOT clear data... I jUst did the force stop! I will try that! Thanks!
On the friends thing...it says I can't accept because I have exceeded friend limit. I have 228 friends total and less than 50 have the ID.

Friend Book and SC ID have different cap for friends.
Check SC ID, pending friend request then cancel some. They count towards your limit. If previously, you had send SC friend ID request to everyone on your in-game friend list, it stays pending like forever. Those who do not connect to SCID can neither deny or accept.
Re starting new farm: you can simply Clear data without uninstalling. New farm will be started. Warning: risk of losing a farm that is NOT connected to SC ID nor google account.

Frog, thanks for trying to help. Sadly I think its just my bad luck to reap the benefits of a glitched update. I did do the whole clear cache, delete data etc. I even turned the tablet off between each stage. After clearing data it started over with the original screen. I deleted many sc id friends and regular friends.... I'm down to about 212 total now. It still won't let me add my sister in law.  so I can't donate farm pass to her. A thought just occurred to me.... do you think it would make a difference if I removed her from my regular friend list? |

That's weird. My mini keeps removing and adding SC ID friends without any problem. The problem could be on her side if she cannot receive new request. Check with her as well. However, I need to clarify a few details with you to make sure we are doing the same thing, please bear with me. Could you try this link to add Caffy (my mini): link.haydaygame.com/en/?action=OpenSCID&p=0f98dc36-786a-4a54-8a65-7ab3cedb42d2Caffy has only 2/500 friends via Friends Book but almost 300 SC ID friends. Could you make sure you remove SC ID friends via the screen SC ID#6 (navigate there and tap the icon to Unfriend):  This is the only way to remove SC ID friends. When you open the SCID menu, the default tab list all your online friends. Could you scroll down all the way down to check whether anyone is listed under "Pending Requests"? If yes, tap on those names, then the icon above the word Pending, confirm that you want to delete pending friend request. Refer to images above (SC ID#6). You have a more illustration in the justhayday.boards.net/thread/818/hay-day-faq-supercell-friends thread. Are you going through this interface to delete SCID friends? Once you have deleted a few, few free to practice with addifn Caffy/ remove pending friend request. |

I bet you can guess.... I got her added! 😆 I don't think I was ever aware of the pending people..... 🤔 I deleted a ton of them, and then taaaa daaaaa it worked. I had to email a picture of my qr code to her. Anyway... we are all set and we thank you from the bottom of our ❤️!

The donating went great... pretty much a click click done type thing. the most important thing to know or remember before doing anything is that whomever you are donating to must be a sc id friend- not just a regular friend on your list. |
