Just watched the vid. I continue as usual. If there's something in the farmpass I like very much I am willing to pay for it. But I won't if there's nothing interesting for me. Funny, since you mentioned that you are not fond of chicken deco I remember a discussion about that objective some time ago.

Conclusion:

We are not alone with our reluctance regarding those deco. I personally skip it as well. As long as there is no fundamental change in the offered decos I pass.

I love the chick 🐥 decorations❣️ I was excited to see movements in the game. The bees and squirrels were a welcome to see also. At that time, the farm animals just stayed in their fences and didn’t do anything else on the farm. Now they are on a snowmobile and in a hot tub. The gnomes are great for each holiday. As you can tell, I love to decorate. I remember in the beginning there was a farmer that had parties for the gnomes. They wrote a story about each party. I would laugh out loud and my husband would look at me as if to say, “It can’t be that funny “. They were really good. I figured they were a writer, if not they should have been. I do think since fall SC,has been throwing decorations at us a lot.

Thanks for the heads up about Ricky’s Beta video. It was a big help. I’m not holding my breath waiting for much of an explanation from Helsinki about the new farm pass options. Nothing looks very tempting to me. Since, as usual, there is no in-game notice about this new feature, I posted about the video in our NH chat. Thank goodness for Just Hay Day.

My favorite parts of the video were Ricky’s editorial comments like “I’m not a fan of the red and purple carpets in the new sections. I wish the paths were more natural.” (My paraphrased version.) I was just thinking the same thing. Another editorial related to the fact that there have been no changes to the special decos that have options for construction since they were introduced. I haven’t done anything except stack them up in storage for quite a while. Ricky suggests that it would be nice to have some winter-themed ones. No kidding!!! Now I need to head over to the “best/worst” thread to follow up on this…

This is to create revenue in a guaranteed way. Regardless of bugs, if SC waited and waited to fix all the bugs they would be passing up an opportunity to gain revenue. “Farm pass beta”. Why wait and figure it all out, still collect the money, let the real players identify the bugs, make it easier on SC. You technically are paying the game, (time, diamonds, coins), to find THEIR mistakes.

Please don't think I'm being an apologist for Supercell - I'm not!

I know how frustrating players find bugs; I share that frustration. Over the years there have been several intermittent bugs - the slow bees one, for example, where we would return to the game after a period of time, only to find that the bees hadn't been working in our absence, and started flying again on our return. I see a resemblance in that issue to the current one with the personal train.

I know that Supercell put a lot of time and effort into resolving the slow bees bug, but it took them quite a while to get to the bottom of what was causing it. Intermittent bugs can be particularly hard to resolve (as many a car mechanic has pointed out!)

Team Hay Day is aware of the problem. No doubt they are working on resolving it. Fingers crossed that they soon find a solution.

In the meantime, I've adjusted my game play to try to work around the bug as best I can.

I noticed there's an option to trash non-completed daily goals and refresh them in 15 minutes. Is that something introduced in this Beta? I may have missed it mentioned elsewhere on JHD (I had seen the add additional season goal for 10 diamonds mentioned somewhere).

I've opted to try (i.e. paid for) all three passes. I'd love to get the 50 additional barn capacity as I have about 30 barn spaces being wasted by now useless gift wrapping station products (though I'm thinking they may be gone before I get the extra 50 barn spaces perk... but who knows).

Did they really recycle an old party hat? I can’t see any difference. Really, the deco is not inviting me to spend the money. Like always, I will be waiting for the valley to make the decision.

Ack! If you are short on space in barn and silo anyway the 50 additional spots won't ease that problem. The opposite is the case. If they are taken from you it will most likely get worse.
