My highest task on board today was 110 the rest much lower. I did similar as you frog. I trashed the board in hope of achieving a higher scoring tasks. Got one 170 rest lower then 100. Iv only had 1 x 500 feeding animal task. Thought I would just give it a go to see if I had a chance of another big task but wasn’t to be. 500 seem one in a blue moon.

Absolutly agree with frog My experience is the same. I really curious what the developers thaught by attaching more tasks a day 🤔 Perhaps Chris [Supercell] knows more about it. Did they realised, that we can't receive enough points and because of this we have more tasks now? Or should it make the event easier? For me: With 15 tasks the event is even more stressful. And my today experience: The event turns more and more into a "Mission Impossible" What I get today: Make 3 Lollipops!!! Wonderful. Lollipops are really fast to make! *sacasm Did a few other tasks. And what appeared? Toffee!!! Really nice! 3 Lollipops and 3 Toffee!!! Really want to know what SC thought how this should go in one day?!?! Have I mentioned, that I also have a pig feeding task on the board. Another time consuming task for today. Appeared just right now. |

I left each task on the board until the task is done being made in the machine. With the exception of feeding cows, which of course I had to take, and set a timer so I would collect milk and feed them three times in the time allocated for the task. Same with feeding puppies, etc.
This has helped. I was able to finish 14 tasks on one farm, 15 on the other. But it was - and is - a pain in the neck. The reason I couldn’t finish 15 on one farm is because I elected to not trash anything, and one of the tasks was cherry jam, and my jam maker was full. So today there will be cherry jam made, I will take the task, and I won’t add any jam to the machine until a task asks for it.
My point total is better - around 3000 on each farm. But I don’t think I can get to 15k because I trashed some tasks the first day.

Yes, I do so, too.
Prepare the task and pick it when all is ready.
But even the Lollipops are over 30 hours.
And then the toffee 4 hours.
I did the timecut for the first lolli.
And planned to do this with the others too.
But there is no time for the toffee.
My lollis will be ready at 2 o'clock in the night.
I will be asleep at this time.

Hi squirrel - yes, I 100% agree this is ridiculous! I wanted to suggest you might just make the lollipops, get a good sleep, and take the task and complete it whenever you wake up. Either way (trashing it or leaving it to finish the next day) will result - I think - in one less task the next day, as the lollipops will still be there. At least that is what is going on in my game. I hear your frustration, and echo it with mine! I am trying to treat it as a mystery to sort out, and that does help me a bit, as I decided to participate in the event. I think ignoring it may be pretty common though. I wonder what SC is seeing behind the scenes… |

I'll be at 2080 points by time I'm done these last 3 tasks available today My big farm hasn't had any 500 point tasks like feeding or waking safari animals yet but my smaller has (not that they are equipped to fulfill those kinds of tasks!) I agree that the single town map as a reward makes zero sense! |

I agree with everyone else now, first day of the event was ok ish for me , but since then just awful. Todays tasks all very low pretzels to be earned on some very time consuming tasks - they just don’t match , I don’t know how to screenshot but for example one of mine today is make 4 asparagus quiche which takes 6 hours & I get just 80 pretzels. And they’re all like that 😟. Last time in the carnival event I had lots of easy tasks like feeding the cats or horses or collecting honeycomb. That was fun. This is stressful & defeats the whole point of playing HayDay !! I have enough stress in real life - I don’t need it from a game that’s meant to be for relaxation !!
I do hope HayDay actually read everyone’s comments. I’ve been playing for 7 years, today is the first day that I’m tempted to delete it.

I'm playing this very casually, on my main farm only. It's radically changed my way of farming though. When I wake up in the morning I usually feed pets, load machines, plant crops, etc. I'm now not doing any of that until the day's tasks come in (often an hour or two after I wake up). Then I load machines with items to complete the tasks that are visible. I load other machines with an item or two, but do not fill the queue, in case one of the "hidden" tasks will involve that machine. Some of the tasks are complicated by my having Rose and Ernest, who are on permanent hire. For this event I fiddle around with their production if necessary. For example, I had a "milk goats" task, so changed Rose to avoid her doing it automatically. Once I hit the point where goats needed milking, I changed Rose so that she could do it - thank goodness her work counts, but I don’t want her doing it before I take the task! She's very good at doing a task overnight if needed. I am aiming to avoid trashing tasks, and just keep steadily working through them, loading machines and stacking. I currently have 5290 pretzel points. I am blessed by being able to visit my farm throughout the day. This event would be very difficult if I couldn't do that. Just my own experience, of course...  EDIT: What I forgot to mention is that as soon as all the day's tasks are visible I then load all slots of the non-involved machines, to rebalance my barn stock. |

I hope that’s not the case. I’ve been doing a pig feeding task all day and I hope it’s not punished by missing a full day of tomorrow's task queue. I suspect the queue will just be longer to make up for it …. Plus people that work all day and can’t start tasks until the evening shouldn’t be punished. I thing SC would have taken that into account. Unfortunately it is. I suspected the same, because the timer for the task said I will have more than one day to finish it. So I tried it. Day one I started the task. Day two we got the new tasks. I checked the board. On the board were 6 tasks. One of them was my active task. In the queue were 4 tasks. So no increase. I missed one task. It counted into the 10 possible tasks. It is really disappointing. Wow, shockingly yes this is correct. Only 9 tasks in the queue for each farm now. One of them has three ore tasks that I didn’t delete from yesterday as I wait for platinum, silver, and coal bars. Another has the same as your other farm, three lollipops which are almost finished now finally from the night before last followed by three more candy when they are done. I also got the feed sanctuary animals on my small baby farm that only has two animals so far, and it gives a whole hour to feed five of them.  SC needs to add more tasks in order to save this event. |

Without coming here to see what’s going on with others for events like this, I’d be so frustrated that I doubt I’d play, really. I’d just keep the account going to stay in touch with friends or for some cute animals to look at while I’m trying to fall asleep, and that would be it. I’m not creating accounts, joining and trying to keep up with other, pointless social media platforms to filter through the nonsense to find what I need for 💕HD. Thanks, to everyone here. 🙏😊

Frog, I can confirm that I have 15 tasks on Day 3. Before going to bed last night, I did all available tasks on my board and there were no tasks in the queue.
This morning I see 6 tasks on my board and 9 tasks in the queue for a total of 15 tasks. My device is Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet.

If you still have 1 task with low points and short time and you don't want to do it:
- take the task and let it expire
- the next day, watch the number of task in the queue.
I expect the number to be 10 (9+1 expired task).
If this works as expected, then it's a way to carry over 1 expired task to the following day.

That one is not a collecting 5 wheat bundles... it is feed 5 sanctuary animals 😀 My strategy for this event is to let my animals go on a diet until I finish tasks for the day.... I don't want to miss the chance to have them ready if I get lucky enough to get that task. |

It’s not often I will have a moan, but glad I hopped on here to see what others thought. This event is brutal. I have deleted 2 jam tasks yesterday and a couple of others that I can’t remember now! All low value tasks so far and nothing over 260, and often less than 100. Tonight I am left with 2 fudge tasks that together total 13 hours! My points after that will total 5160 so I am going to be WAY off getting anywhere near the finish. Assuming I stay awake until 4am to finish them!! I would’ve liked the puzzle pieces as my sanctuary animals are nowhere near complete and adding 2 new penguins hasn’t helped! Also not helped that I was able to hammer the truck event this week and would’ve liked to do so again tomorrow but I’ve not been able to refill my barn, as too worried I’ll not have the slots for whatever tasks the event throws at me. Add in the hardest bingo derby ever that took up lots of production slots for 22 hours at a time, and I just feel the whole timing and thought behind this is poor. I still don’t really understand about carrying forward tasks and if that’s the right thing to do or not! And yeah, final insult, a map piece!!!

lynnk2021 , I had that one yesterday. It not collect 5 wheat bundles it was Feed 5 sanctuary animals. It will even work if you need to feed one of the carnivores with a fish bucket. Edit - ninja’d by emailkathybefore I read further on.

I got this on one of mini. Trying to understantd the exact conditions to reproduce. Notice the task expired and the queue number?  Open that farm on 20th Sep, around 19:xx UTC time, so way after new task appeared. But... 10 in queue +5 task that can be taken = 15. I messed up the math  . |

lol that’s matey for the update. I was just about ready to take my last task let it expire and test the fields. I’ll pick up like normal now and hopefully be able to get that wonderfully required map piece. If anyone by chance needs one let me know gladly pass it to my friends 😂 thanks from down under for all the info and effort all of you guys have done to try to crack the code of this horrible event. It’s been set way too hard taken the fun out of the game for me. A first and Iv played for sometime. As mentioned it has changed the way I play usually by now my Friday morning I’ve completed derby and the event, started to load up my townies for next weeks derby and my machines and crops are in full production. I only have one farm time limited gparent, so having to not be able to do this is going to create a shortage of product and will stop me fron doing the one thing I like the most helping my friends. It doesn’t encourage me to want to buy the matching deco and I do love my deco. If I can’t achieve the rewards why would I buy I like to create areas in my farm that blend together. It’s always been my ahhh game to relax, create and enjoy seeing my friends pop up in the help bar. I hope they make tweaks for the next round, finger cross they read this forum. Again thanks to all here and keep the info coming. We all play our own style that’s what makes hey day great. ❤️

I am so glad I found this forum. I have been so saddened by the changes they made to what they dare to call "a give-back to the community event". Not much giving spirit in this event. I feel disrespected as a player and a paying customer. This event is ridiculous. Not only does it make no sense mathematically, it makes what should be an enjoyable game into a thankless chore. Earlier in the summer I often thought how much joy I felt everytime I came into this colorful, peaceful space. Like other players, I enjoy playing at my own pace, helping game friends, and creating something fun. I'm not ashamed to admit that I rather spend a bit of money on this form of entertainment than on streaming services. I love HayDay. But the last few days I have been very disappointed. And I am glad that I am not alone. Thank you to all on this thread.

I got the task yesterday. It’s going to be a holdover until tomorrow. Then I just have to hope, like you, that any more smelter tasks I get are for something other than platinum. I have beautiful stacks of all the other metals. One frustration is how frequently two tasks show up for the same machine. I know it’s the luck of the draw, but 😡…and it couldn’t be for quick-prep items. Today I had carrot cakes followed by cheese cake (still waiting for that third cheesecake) and white sweaters followed by blue sweaters. No blue sweaters finished yet. My biggest disaster that eventually was a triumph involved grilled eggplant and banana pancakes. I carefully loaded three eggplant for Oktoberfest. Then started stacking 15 pancakes for a bingo derby task. Tragedy! I accidentally collected one of the eggplant!😭 Ultimately, before bed last night, I loaded one more eggplant at the end of the pancake queue and, when I got up, was able to take the pancake task, take the eggplant task, collect the whole unappetizing stack and complete both tasks. Best “farm management” at Dibley Fields ever!!😀 |

This morning I woke up to find that my task had expired:  As an experiment I paid 10 diamonds, and was pleased to see that the task renewed, with the two items already collected still credited. I then tapped on the ice cream that was ready on the machine, and it didn't count. What I was able to work out was that I needed to take the task again before collecting - a small extra step, but an important one! I've now made another peach Ice cream (with the aid of watching an advert and a few diamonds), and the task is complete. I hope this is helpful. |

Let them run in evening and night and your good to go if they pop up. had some high points rich fudge and lemon fudge tasks, needed 3 of them per task. Might be worth to prepare them. |
