Recently, Hay Day Twitter asked, "We all have memories! When was the last time you felt nostalgic about something? What was it about? Let's share them with us! " I'd like to share a memory about the Hay Day derby when it was introduced circa 2015 when derbys lasted 7 days, IIRC. After derbying for a few weeks, I saw a task for 400 points to complete 12 boats. This task was imprinted in my mind because at that time, I've been playing for about a year and choose impulsively instead of taking a moment to do a cost-benefit analysis. The journey to complete the task in about 5 to 6 days was painful, but I learned some valuable lessons which I applied later to buy all pets requiring vouchers only. First, I must hoard diamonds to open up slots for existing and new machines instead of hiring Tom to get goods for the boat. Secondly, I flagged the wrong crates for help because they weren't filled and I must make goods to complete my boats. And finally, when game shows me what goods the next boat will ask for, I must consider I have limited time to make only two-thirds of the crates and must depend on the kindness of strangers to complete the other one-third. If the boats are too hard for me and the community, then I must send them away and prepare for easier boats. In the current global boat event which will end in about 6.5 hours, it's a joyful experience to complete 21 boats with the Main Farm and Baby Farm supporting each other. I also used the free boat boosters. I'd like to end this post with an excerpt of The Way We Were. Source: www.musixmatch.com/
