I have a question concerning the bunny derby. I completed 6 bunny tasks out of a total of 9 tasks completed during the bunny derby. The bunny tasks have the bunny icon next to them, and the tasks were taken while the bunny was active. Since I have completed 6 bunny tasks, shouldn't I get 3 bunny awards? Somehow, I only have 2 1/2 bunny awards complete, and I have only been awarded 2 bunny prizes. I have always thought that you caught a bunny after completing 2 bunny tasks. Is this incorrect?

The number of bunnies needed depends on the size of the neighborhood's derby participants. My neighborhood needs 15 bunnies per reward.

My neighborhood is just me.

Indeed, abidi. This week in my hood, 7 us are derbying, so we need to complete 11 bunny tasks to catch a bunny.

First bunny will appear after 6 hours from derby starting time, second bunny will appear after one and half day from derby starting time, third bunny will appear after three and half day from derby starting time.
I guess it is how the bunnies are staggered. I know I only need 2 tasks as I am the only player in my neighborhood. I don't remember having the bunny icon for the tasks and not getting an award after 2 completed bunny tasks though. 🤷♀️

I play solo too. Before you can catch the first bunny, you need to take one task to start the derby. Then the bunny appears on the race track, and you need to complete two tasks to catch the bunny. So it actually takes three tasks to catch the first bunny (unless you already started the derby before the first bunny appears).

LuvHayDay,
That is what is confusing. Of course, my first task was not a bunny task. Tasks 2, 3 & 4 were. 5 was not. 6 & 7 were. 8 was not & 9 was. Tasks 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 & 9 have bunny icons in front of them showing that they were bunny tasks taken during bunny time.

And all 6 bunny tasks have the green completed check? That does sound odd, like a glitch or bug of some sort.

Yes, all with green checks. All with bunny icons next to them Sorry I don't know how to post a screenshot from photos.

When you completed bunny task matters as well., not only when you take bunny task.
If you complete the task when there is no bunny to be caught (meaning there is no bunny on the race track in front of the horse) then that bunny task (even with bunny icon) does not count.

Thank you Frog. I must have never paid attention to that before. I always thought that if the bunny time is available, then the bunny on the track is active. Thank you again for clearing that up.

If we don't play solo, someone must also take one task to start the derby and allow the first bunny to appear?

Thank you Frog. I must have never paid attention to that before. I always thought that if the bunny time is available, then the bunny on the track is active. Thank you again for clearing that up. That is correct. When the bunny time is available, then the bunny is on the track. But as soon as you catched it (in your case with your two tasks), you have to wait until the next bunny appears. There are still bunny times, but without a bunny on the race, because you catched it. Bunny tasks you take before the next bunny appears does have the icon and it still counts on the tasks for derby. But not for a bunny which will appear in the future. For example you can take 6 bunny times on the first day. But there is only one bunny you can catch. The other tasks aren't counting for the future. This all only additional to the explanation from Frog

If you don’t care for placing top3 or being demoted, prepare your board with easy tasks, wait till Friday when last bunny appeared. Do one task to start derby followed by six for 3 bunnies in a row and finish remaining tasks after that. Can be done within 15 minutes. 😉

If you get the tasks for this, it works pretty well. Often I don't have the patience to wait until Friday and only catch two bunnies. Then it is easier and I prepare the board and just do it like you explained.
