Hi all! I’m new to this forum, and a level 31 farm. I’ve been really frustrated lately because every time I unlock a new production building, it costs more and more! It takes me weeks to save up like 30,000 coins and I start getting orders I can’t fill because I don’t have the new machinery! Does anyone have advice for me when it comes to saving more coins faster? Thanks!!!!

Are you in a neighborhood.? If you are... maybe your hoodmates can sell you th8ngs forehead 5hat you can turn around and sell for top coin. BUT- if you do have hoodmates that will do this for you, make sure to ask if there is anything you can do for them as well 😉
Don't waste products on truck orders! Usually you will make more selling in your shop than to farm visitors, trucks or Boats.
In short..... keep all of your buildings going constantly... load them with long/expensive item over night and sell in the morning. The same for crops.... tomatoes, onions, tea, lettuce etc
If you can use ernest and rose a few times they can help with stocking. Use Tommy to buy things like diamond rings then sell for full price.

There are also occasional boosters that increase your coins for a certain amount of time. So if you know you have a day where you can be very active selling things, use that booster for those 8 hours, or however long it lasts.

IIRC, I was around level 50 when I started to plant, harvest, and sell soybeans nonstop until I became a HD millionaire. I'd like to suggest you also make goods nonstop and sell more than you buy.

Level 44 here and I quickly realized the best way to make money is to sell goods in your farmstand. I ignore trucks, boat, and visitors unless there's an event going on that gives me something I want, like double coins or I want to complete a derby task or farm pass item. Lately I've also been building up my town and spend upgrades to increase profits first, then increase visitors second. Good luck! And if you're looking for a neighborhood ... #LCJQRJOL (or maybe that oh should be a zero?)

Every 1-2 weeks, various double coin events happen. My advice is that you should take as much use of them as you can: - if it's a truck event, send as many trucks as you can but don't forget to count whether the order gives you more coins than selling the exact same items in the roadside shop. Also, don't forget to trash the orders you're not willing to complete (e.g. dairy products and sugar, it's better to use them for production) - the most profitable one in my opinion is the Farm Visitor double coin event. The thing is, you buy the most expensive and the most common products and plants in the newspaper. Don't hesitate to spend coins, as you'll earn way more! For your level it could be woolly chaps, blackberry muffins, purple dresses, blackberries, cherries etc. Then you make sure they are top 1-2 items of your barn and silo (ore, jewelry and expansion materials don't count, so it's not necessary to exceed them). It's also better to have at least 1 of every item (as well except those I've listed), so that the visitors wouldn't want to buy them. When the visitor buys a part of your top items, go to the newspaper again and repeat the actions. When the event is about to end or you're logging out, don't forget to sell the excess in your roadside shop. This should give a lot of coins in revenue.

Although it sounds counterintuitive, don’t level up too fast. If you get buildings before you are ready to buy you can’t fill orders, not so bad if you ignore boats, visitors & trucks but if you depend on town for derby it becomes difficult.
Get coins from selling at max price in shop, this has the added benefit of not getting reputation points you would if your sold the other ways.

Due to costs of buildings, has anyone skipped some production buildings and come back much later to purchase?

Due to costs of buildings, has anyone skipped some production buildings and come back much later to purchase? No, it’s about strategy and not gaining Xp to fast. It’s produce and sell at max price to gain enough coins. Once there will be a point that you will have enough coins to keep up with buying machines. Some machines produce products where there is very little demand for. the only machines that I didn’t get five at once are the melters.

I am level 179 now but when I started out, I was planting soybeans over and over and collect eggs to sell. Soybeans sell fast and when I am not busy with other things, I check on HD about every 20 minutes so this works out well.

Due to costs of buildings, has anyone skipped some production buildings and come back much later to purchase? Several times recently, yes. However not due to a lack of coins. In my case it's meanwhile mostly the lack of space. Since I became lazy gathering the dreadful permits it's no wonder that my "problem" is selfmade. I don't complain, it's a fact I have to deal with. For some time I used Tom for missing products but in the end I always bought the machine.
