Hi everybody, I have the feeling, this forum got a bit quiet lately. Anyway, I have been wondering about this question for a long time, I have some theories, but this could also be completely nonsense. Like: - Much deco on a tablet, less deco on a phone
- Rows preferably going like a / on a tablet and maybe like this \ on a phone
- Much space between things on a phone, fully decorated farms on a tablet
What’s your experience, do you decorate specifically for easier farm management on your device?
My farm is definitively decorated for tablet use, I find it quite cumbersome to play it on a phone.
Also I tend to collect important stuff like the bees in the middle.
oh, and another question, playing hay day on a phone in public, phone held in landscape mode, do people react strangely?
I seem to attract little children asking their moms, „what is this person doing“ and „why can’t I have a phone“... ;-)
Have a great weekend!

Great question!
I use my iPad for my main farm. The larger format is definitely easier for placing deco and clicking on products, plants, and buildings.
I use phones for my baby farms. No deco, and things are spaced far apart to minimize the likelihood of mis-touches.
The horizontal orientation question hits home. My husband knows I'm playing HD when I tilt my phone into landscape mode.

Um, people can play HD on a phone? 😉 Waaay too small for me.
I kind of have … I don’t know what layout I have.
*Most of what I have is where I imagine I’d put it on a real farm, though some is easier to reach than others. I keep the sugar and dairy together, feed mills by the animals, fields by the river for easy irrigation, machines in a section near the road (so travellers can stop by and have a meal and take home some pies or whatever). The BBQ is by the side of the house, because that’s where BBQ goes, lol.
I had picnic tables and seating between the machines when I had fewer machines, now they’re stuffed together. (Someone send me about 600 scrolls, pls. 😂)
A majority of seasonal/holiday deco usually goes in town because there’s little room for it on the farm.
I made a corn maze a few times for fall because I like them, I have a trail ride/camping area because I used to like doing that as a kid— that’s across the street. *Most of my trees are kind of far away in an orchard at the back but it messes up everything else to put them elsewhere. I used to have a park with ponds and seating, etc., at the back there, but haven’t replaced it since I have too many trees.
I can’t compare phone to tablet, really. I usually avoid the phone at all costs.

I have never and wouldn’t play on my phone. I use my iPad for both farms but rarely play the baby one nowadays. I also originally laid it out bit like a farm but that has stopped and I just fit things in. I rotate most of the decor I like more or less seasonally but I leave out the ones I really like. It feels odd sometimes as the seasons are opposite to where I live.

Anyway, I have been wondering about this question for a long time, I have some theories, but this could also be completely nonsense. Like: I have also noticed the forum to be a bit quieter, but I haven’t been on much due to it being our summer and we finally got some nice weather. I have also noticed there isn’t a link to JHD from the game in the Inbox > Community tab. I’m sure it used to be there before. Anyway farm layout is like a real farm, I’m more creative in the town & sanctuary. The kid’s farms are just a “creative” mess 🤣

I have also noticed there isn’t a link to JHD from the game in the Inbox > Community tab. I’m sure it used to be there before. In the past I've asked Supercell if they would consider a link to the JHD Forum on the Community tab, but it's not happened, unfortunately. I'm delighted that they have publicised our forum on social media on several occasions, and that they continue to support our lovely community in many ways. Thank you Supercell!

kantaHayday only on tablet. A phone screen is too tiny. As long as I'm playing HayDay I only used big screens. It's more comfortable and better for the eyes. 😉 The only exception for me would be if I am on the move and want to avoid the weight of the tablet. This would be a situation when I would use a phone. But also only if absolutely necessary. During the years playing HayDay I got so used to my tablets that I can't imagine to do otherwise. My current tab is as you probably know a Samsung Galaxy S7+ with 12,4". It's great, but recently I had the opportunity to admire the screen of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Ultra with 14,6". 😮 Believe me or not...although the screen of my tab is already big it was for me a difference like day and night. It was an overwhelming experience for me. Do to this I save money to buy the S8 Ultra in some time. 😊 To my farm... Well, those who know my farm are aware that I prefer to distribute my machines. Same applies for my animals. They are free to go wherever they want. My farm has to have the possibility to "breathe". I think, you know what this is supposed to mean in the context. I also payed attention how to place machines of a similiar kind respectively which belongs together. To the forum... Yes, I also noticed that it became a little bit more quiet over time. But that's nothing to be worried about in my opinion. I think it's normal. Most members are in a high level, things don't change very much on the farm, everything happens as usual. It's also human to become a little bit more reluctant over time. We may not forget that everyone has a RL, that's way more important than a play. Always. Sometimes things happen which force some members to take a break. All good. I think as long we still participate here it's ok. I'd only be worried if many members would avoid the forum for a longer time. That's not the case. 🙂

One of the things I've noticed on this forum as well as the old SC forum, is that the activity level usually corresponds with what is going on within the game itself (after all, these forums are "about" the game) so it's to be expected that forum activity will decrease when there are lull's in the game and increase when there is an update, event or something special going on. Either way, not to worry 🙂.

I'm delighted that they have publicised our forum on social media on several occasions, and that they continue to support our lovely community in many ways. Thank you Supercell! First of all, thank you Cowslips for asking Supercell about the above. Having a link within the game to invite players to JHD is the ultimate wish for our community and will provide a steady stream of new members to grow JHD. Since it hasn't happened yet, there must be a drawback from Team Hay Day's perspective. Let me ponder why so please stay tuned until next time... :-)
