I haven’t given any feedback on the Winter update because I am not particularly pleased with it or disappointed with it, but I am sorry to finally say I will not be buying the farm pass in December for the first time since it was introduced. This makes me sad because I have supported this game financially since it started in 2012, but for the last few months I have paid for the farm pass with a bit of a heavy sigh. As a diamond purchaser, I already have most of the decorations available apart from the chick decorations which I don’t like and don’t display anyway. All of my land is open, but I had continued to purchase the farm pass, mainly for the chick vouchers. However, I’ve now got 16 chick vouchers and nothing to buy with them as I don’t feel toucans have a place on my farm and I think the cockatoo things are ugly. I am sorry for such a negative post about a game that I love so much and still feel I would be lost without. Something as simple as swans or geese to spend my vouchers on would be so much more inspiring than a cupcake machine or a temporary present wrapping machine!

jennyanne, IMO, an apology isn't necessary because I think Team Hay Day wants the truth from their players and how they may improve their game. It can't be sunshine all the time.
If we're not having fun with the game, we shouldn't feel obligated to support it and must give positive and negative feedback to Team Hay Day. I think that's the reason why the HD Community Manager became a member of JHD: To read feedback first hand from a subset of the community of players.

jennyanne You don't have to apologize for your posting. You wrote your opinion about some things. I think it has to be allowed to be critical on some occasions. For one not everything is good and we are all human beings with different opinions, different approaches to the game, so it's nothing uncommon. On the other hand there will be always something which doesn't please everyone. That's usual. In my opinion it's not bad to express a negative feeling or negative experiences. Just the opposite is the case. If criticism is grounded and fair it could be an opportunity to improve certain things. If everyone would praise everytime how great everything in the game would be it would cause stagnation. It's nothing what should be desired. As for me I'm not disappointed, until now. Ok, I also don't need a new machine and new products, neither more sanctuary animals. But finally it's my choice. If I decide to buy the new machine...fine...I'll do it. But I don't. I'm not in the mood. Tom is for me sufficient for this matter. The upcoming wrap machine can be interesting. I suppose to wait and to see what happens. Think, we will get a new winter design from Maggie. I don't know whether you are up for it but it's so cute. It's only to see in grey, it's not activated in Maggies book but I already love it. That's something to look forward to. I know, sometimes it's boring getting always the same stuff or things you aren't interested in. But sometimes the team takes the suggestions and maybe complaints from the players to heart and implement it (partially) in the game. Due to this you won't always be satisfied, nevertheless give it a chance. Cheer up! You're not alone. 😘

I don't really like winter. Both in reality and in the game. I exhibited winter decor on the farm, but in my opinion it doesn’t look very nice (for example, a skier on the grass), because. does not harmonize with the green withered grass. In winter, I limit myself to a chic Christmas tree on the farm and in the city.
If the farm had a winter vibe like a snow zone in a nature reserve, then I would (probably) decorate my farm with more beautiful and varied decor (of which I have a lot in stock).
But I like the farm pass and I buy it monthly. I am very attracted to perks and rewards (experience, chicken vouchers, hats...). Well, the winter decor (very beautiful) is in the warehouse and is waiting in the wings when a snowy winter comes on the farm ....

hutt I love winter, for me it can't be cold enough. Sadly in Germany this isn't gonna happen. On my farm I like the winter theme as well. Pity that it will not last for a longer time. I agree with you, if the farm had a permanent winter area like sanctuary I would place the winter deco the whole year. Like I'm handling it with my Halloween corner. 🎃 IIRC this was a wish asked from some players. ( Permanent winter area on the farm). Perhaps this is gonna happen in the future. Hope dies last. I'd appreciate it, because like you already mentioned winter deco doesn't fit on green grass. I don't like it either. I really have a lot of deco from this theme but mostly it becomes sour in my archive. ❄️☃️⛄️

I wouldn't want winter on the farm to be permanent. But I would like the farm to have a calendar snowy winter, which would be replaced by spring, etc.

Ahhh…all you people with your four discernible seasons. 🤣 If we didn’t put Christmas trees on green grass we’d have no Christmas trees. Santa had better not even think about a fur coat (and boots!) unless he’s hurting for a heat stroke. And I’m fairly certain there were no reindeer (or polar bears) in Jesus’ manger.
Having a little fun with you guys. I understand. You want the farm to look like your Christmas looks. Nothing wrong with that.😊

I'm my corner of UK snow isn't likely till the late winter of Jan/Feb though 😅

Having a little fun with you guys. I understand. You want the farm to look like your Christmas looks. Nothing wrong with that.😊 Lol 😂. I am one of these. While I don’t go all out for Halloween specifically, I do have a (quite large now) area of my farm dedicated to autumn (fall) all year round, and I would really love a winter, not specifically christmas, area too. All of my land is open and there is quite a lot of it so decorating is a big part of my game play. I adore the tundra area of the sanctuary, so due to food shortage supply issues the foxes, reindeer and walrus are the only ones that get fed over there. I also live in the UK and don’t very often get snow until Jan/Feb/March so it would be nice to see the traditional snowy idea of it on the farm. I also have a spring area (as opposed to Easter) with crocuses, bunnies and chicks. I guess I love the different seasons, but I’m generally too lazy to put up festival-specific stuff which needs taking down and re-arranging periodically. Just read this back and didn’t mean to compose such a boring post, but they were my thoughts and I’ve typed them now so may as well post them!

Hi jennyanne I share many of your thoughts regarding different season and decorating it properly. You all know that I'm a Halloween sucker. Do you? Yessss, you do....haha.... Well, so it's no surprise that my farm has not only 1 Halloween corner. I admit, perhaps I'm exaggerating a little bit, but I can't help it. I also love autumn and winter, summer and spring not so much. But I have enough stuff for decorating purposes, and I love to deal with it. That's the reason that I'm owning 4 layouts. I need them all, the left is my changing-layout, the next on the right side would be for Halloween, after that winter and the last for spring/summer. I'm also a "fan" by changing the farm look. Sometimes only little things, but if I'm in the mood there are greater changes possible. The "tundra" from my sanctuary is like you my preferred place for winter deco. I object meanwhile to place too much from the winter deco on my farm because it doesn't suit me. Today I made some slight adjustments, but they are neclectable. One difference is obvious to your posting. As I have many layouts I have no trouble with changing the theme. Only some adjustments but they are not worth mentioning. However, I like this thread very much. It's so interesting to experience other approaches for special themes. Thank you for that.

I like seasonal changes and do usually alter bits of my farm accordingly. I find the decor on the December farm pass disappointing but I still purchased it for the scrolls, chick vouchers and a few other things.

🌼GymGirl🌺 I agree, same applies to me. With one exception...I didn't bought the pass this month due to a lack of fitting deco. I got used for the free version. Only thing I'm missing would be the second spin in the valley, especially when we have to deal with the laborious chicken valley. Despite from that I try to get everything I want.

donkeyfan, the chicken valley is very laborious. I am not a fan of the valley at all, especially the chicken one. Good luck with yours.
