Are there some players that just don't care if they get bunny rewards or not? This is only my second bunny derby. First time I was in novice league. Nice and relaxing. Now I'm in expert league and there are already a couple people completely done with the derby. Or is it possible to get all 3 bunnies in one day? I'm so confused. Maybe they just care about winning and advancing to the next league?
Anyway to each his own, but I'm curious if there's a way or if it's just a "want."? Thanks!

Fascinating. I and my hoodmates care about Bunny Time (BT) when choosing tasks because we like the extra prizes.
But I understand there are players who don't have time to wait for BT and their goal is to complete the Derby ASAP.

....is it possible to get all 3 bunnies in one day? Only way I know it is possible to get all 3 bunnies in 1 day and also maybe place top 3 in those higher leagues is to wait til Fri when 3rd bunny is released to start the derby, but not everyone can wait til then to start the derby and finish all their tasks. You could also try starting derby sometime on Fri before the 3rd bunny is released. Whenever you decide to start the derby, if another bunny has already been released, as soon as you catch the first bunny, the next will be available to catch right away. The bunnies will come that way, back to back, one right after the other. Good luck!

@classycats, there is no way to get the bunnies early. If you take a look at the Dashboard there is a bunny timer that shows when each bunny is available. After you catch each bunny, you must wait until the next bunny is released.
For some NH’s placing is most important to them. For others, the chance at expansion permits is worth it to stretch the derby out until the last bunny is realeased.

Mom’sCar and qbie thank you! Very interesting information. So if I ever feel spunky enough and competitive enough, start the bunny derby late! And I too care about those extra rewards. They're nice! As I said, to each his own though. I am content, for now, moving at a snail's pace P.S. Sweet I did it! I tagged you guys! Yay thank you donkeyfan

That is a large part of the reason I end up down a league so often 😆
I will always wait and catch all 3 bunnies because I love the extra puzzle/expansion permits you get in those columns
But I also have noticed that in the tippity top league they will often just finish a bunny derby immediately, as they would per normal derby
Leaving me in the dust, plodding along waiting for bunnies 😅
And as I then finish so far back I'm not inclined to spend diamonds for an extra task
(the last 2 columns of rewards are never that great and are things I can get from wheating or serving townies)
The solution would probably be to wait till all 3 bunnies are released then be able to start and finish in just a few mins whilst catching all 3
I have tried that a few times but the 2nd I've taken a task late in the week I'm sorted into a race thats already been won 🙃
So I've just accepted coming last in bunny derbies in the tippity top league because I want the extras 😆
Maybe one day when I no longer need puzzle or expansion permits (HA!) I won't care either 🤣

ClassyCats There was a time when I wasn't very fond of the bunnies. For many reasons...I didn't understand the rules at that time ( my bad), the annoying squeaking of the bunnies when entering my farm or visiting another and very often dull prizes in the bunny horseshoes. Those which I'm getting through farming much easier. Since that accumulated to a great disappointment for me I avoided the bunnies mostly. But some time ago I changed my mind. I recognized that it wasn't necessary to rush through derby but to wait until the last bunny shows up Friday evening. It's a "mind" thing, I think. Since that time the rewards were getting better (permits more often in the bunny rows) and I don't bother about the squeaking anymore. I even don't hear it although the sound is "on". Perhaps I'm getting more patient when becoming older.

BauldersGate and donkeyfan you two are too funny! But I agree with you whole heartedly. Especially about that squeaking sound! Oooh so annoying. I hope that I'll get used to it too. I know I could just turn the sound off, but I like the sounds of the farm. I used to care about placing in the top 3 in the derbies. That was before any of the new kinds of derbies were introduced. It's much more relaxing when I Don't care though! If I go back down a league or even two or three that's okay! Feels nice. What's most important for me right now are coins to buy all the machines I'm missing anyway! Thank you all very much for your replies!!

I always try to finish the derby on the day it starts. I don’t care for the bunnies anymore. The only additional rewards they give me are the ones we will be collecting 4fr. As soon as enough people have cleared all the land we will (most likely) get new land that require permits to unlock. Same with the puzzle pieces. More animals. Both are a long grind.
Most likely that’s why you see more people racing to the end in no time with this derby. I play CL and solo. Only for the easy and quick to get rewards. The higher the league the more rewards.

ducktown2021, several bunny derbies ago, I played as a solo player. I set up the task board with 10 tasks that I could do really quick, even if it meant waiting to start. Several were production tasks and town type tasks. I started on Friday about 5-10 minutes prior to the time the 3rd bunny would be released. As soon as the first bunny was caught the 2nd was available. Then I only needed a minute or 2 to wait for the 3rd bunny. Then I did the last bunny and was done very quick. Yes, I came in first and caught all 3 bunnies. If waiting until the last day is an option, I would encourage you to give it a try.

But starting to prep on Tuesday and wait till Friday means I can’t use several machines for almost 4 days unless I stack. Which requires me to have my barn full. Not gonna happen anymore. I can play from Wednesday until Monday without having to think about derby and still do everything else on the farm. The grind for hard to get items is no longer fun for me. They come when they come, but I am not putting anymore effort in it as necessary 😉

When I read your postings, Mom’sCar and ducktown2021 I was tempted to give the suggestion from Mom’sCar a try. On the other hand it's correct what you stated, ducktown2021 . You're stuck from Tuesday until Friday. Considering this I won't do it as it's not acceptable for me to be limited on my farm play. It's a pity as I like the suggestion from Mom’sCar very much. Currently I'm fine doing the bunnies and most likely being stuck in the present league, it doesn't bother me nor my sister-in-law. We are happy by getting additional permits in the bunny rows. If not, we don't care. We are both very relaxed. If the bunny rows are becoming uninteresting some day we will reconsider our engagement with them. Nothing has to stay for ever, everything (almost) is changeable. Speaking from permits I took a look on my farm how much are required to unlock every lot. For this matter I counted those lots which were available, 166 permits. I think I can double this for those lots which didn't show me the required permits because they have no connection to the street. Say, 300 permits approximately, maybe 10 permits each month...I need 30 month. Wow, only 2 and a half year, that's manageable. Assumed I'll reach that without getting new lots.

I really dislike Bunny Derby especially power bunny derby. I play solo derby. I have tried most of the methods in previous posts and combinations to finish top 3. Waiting for Friday and starting doesn’t work as 9 times out of ten the first six places are gone before I finish first task (last derby took me 4 seconds to complete first task). One derby I completed 10 tasks in 5 minutes & finished last two - frustrating. Power Bunny you can’t pre-prep the 18 tasks required so need to use diamonds to call tasks early and trash a lot of tasks quickly. I’ve found starting when first bunny appears and just aiming for bunnies rather than top three (really difficult to attain both) because at least you can chose the rewards & shuffle if desired rather than getting the top three rewards, which are becoming increasingly dismal. EDIT: the alternative is to just not do bunny derby but that would mean dropping a league.

lizdizI agree with you completely. I patiently try to gather every bunny until Friday and hope for special rewards, such as permits. Well, my first bunny has a permit, the 2nd doesn't, but it's ok for me, I don't care. I also have 1 permit in one horseshoe. That's already very good as I'm getting permits cumbersome. Perhaps I am lucky with the 3rd bunny tomorrow, we'll see. If I'm unfortunate I will be demoted, everything is possible. It depends from the group in which you are put in at the first place. This doesn't bother me as well, nor my sister-in-law who skipped the power-bunny-derby due to a lack of time. In the end I take it as it comes. That's also the reason why I am not struggling to achieve one of the first 3 places. As lizdiz already mentioned, the "rewards" are poor, not worth the effort. Perhaps earlier, but this has passed a long time ago.

We really only do the bunny derbies because we want the a prizes. We may drop a league but that does not bother us either. We play the derbies that suit us and opt out of the others.

I start on Friday morning with most derbies, also this one. Finished 4th, caught 2 bunnies. By skipping a derby you know you will be demoted and don’t get any horseshoe rewards. You might as well play each derby for the rewards, without stressing about not finishing top3 or getting demoted, cause you would have been demoted anyway if you don’t play (and thus loose a change on a 🧩 and permit as reward).
Agree, top3 prices are not worth the effort. Btw same with the global boat event for 10 diamonds. 😂

ducktown2021 I can't argue with you about this matter. You're absolutely right but your approach and attitude differs from mine. Some sort of derby is a pain in the a** for me. As I know that...and I know myself very well too, ....I avoid it. Being demoted and missing rewards is insofar no punishment for me but a logical consequence. It's similar to my RL, I mostly avoid circumstances which don't suit me. It's not always and for every situation possible, of course, but this is what I try to do. And it's working. Almost always.

Bunny derbies are great, you can shuffle for scrolls. I don’t care about getting demoted. I am a solo player, but not in Champions league right now, how relaxing. ;-)

I love the bunny derby, three puzzle pieces plus the 2 in the back columns, that's FIVE (5!!!) yesss! I so hope SC won't scratch the possibility for that many puzzle/permit pieces. Our hood does not go for top 3 since we do 320s we are paired with hoods doing the same and then they buy the 10th task, so we rarely end up on third place. I rather spend them on shuffling the columns.
