Hello Everyone We have mentioned on a few threads that we are limited in our free file storage on Proboards. The only area of this limitation that will affect our members involves "attachments" when using the forum's attachment feature on a post. We are getting closer to that limit (though it's difficult to predict when it will be reached- could be weeks, a few months or even longer) at which point the feature will be disabled. In the meantime, feel free to continue using the feature but be advised that in order to include an image in your post once it's deactivated, you will need to use a third-party image hosting site. Frog has mentioned a few on this thread: justhayday.boards.net/post/1441/threadFeel free to post here on this thread if you need assistance. Thank you!

Tahoe 🐾 THX for adressing this issue. I have it on my mind, every time when I used the "attachment" feature. To be honest, it's a little more comfortable than dealing with a hoster. But it's obvious, sometime in the future it will disappear, so thanks for the reminder.

We could “manage” our allowable space by removing irrelevant images… something to consider.
For example, I could go back and remove a pic of what I ate for lunch last September😁

EDIT: LOL, I'm blushing with embarrassment. Apparently, I posted many images of food in the "What's for dinner?" thread in 2021. And I just deleted all of them so there should be significantly more free space now. ;-) Sadly for me, IIRC, I posted images of dim sum and fried squab in other threads which I can't remember atm so the search continues.

It could also cause some posts to no longer make sense if they were in reference to an image.

After I deleted the images, I edited my posts to omit allusions about the images so the text made sense. ;-)

Please note the following is a joke post which I wrote with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek. ;)I just emailed ProBoards Sales Manager Sue Doe Nym with the following suggestion. Once the file storage limit is reached, we users have the option of buying storage if we wish to post images with the following pricing plans. Bronze Pass: 300KB per month for $5 Silver Pass: 700KB per month for $10 Gold Pass: 1000KB per month for $12 (best value) If we enroll in the automatic monthly renewal, then unused storage will roll over to next month. This means I'll be able to post many images of food including fried squab if my suggestion is approved. Fingers crossed. www.pickydiners.com/www/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/E8E9BF4F-B826-4778-99EC-998AB221DDD0.jpeg==LynnK==

Ok everyone, be advised we are currently at 199/200MB of free storage space for attachments, so the feature should be automatically disabled shortly. Please see my original post for using other image hosting sites to put images in posts on this forum. Thanks everyone.

Hello again. Just an update to advise everyone that the limit has been reached and the attachment option has been disabled. Again, in order to post an image, you will need to use a third-party image hosting site as previously mentioned. We are happy to assist anyone needing help with this.
I will leave this thread in General for about a week (for increased exposure) prior to moving it to Forum Talk.
Thank you everyone.
