In 8 years of play in neighborhood I've never seen this before! A very active and helpful player didn't like that we kicked out a brand new member who said bad things about the leader. So in response he opted everyone out of derby, kicked who he could as co-leader and then leave to form his own neighborhood. ❤❤❤ I hope Supercell can get these members back, some of whom been there for over 4 years! He also went on to create his own hood and is sitting there by himself. LOL. You'd expect a level 167 to be more sane. BTW, I wasn't the one who kicked him, one of my other members did. Has this happened to anyone else?

First of all, welcome nai to JHD.
If I understand the situation correctly, the player concerned was promoted to Coleader despite being "relatively new here" according to you in game chat?
Sadly for your neighborhood, the Leader didn't promote wisely and your neighbors paid the price, IMHO.

He did have some issues like getting divorced and other stuff in life but he was on all the time so he seemed like a great player. Who knew it was a bomb ready to go off for no reason. Seriously, playing for years who expects this from a 60 YO. I'd expect this from a Juvenile..

I have therefore removed the images you attached. The images also showed names of other members, as well as conversations between them; publishing such information on a public forum is inappropriate. As Lynnk2021 points out, this situation was brought about by the unwise promotion of a relatively new member. The position of Co-Leader is one that should not be given lightly, as your neighborhood has found to its cost. Supercell does not involve itself in neighborhood politics, so they are unlikely to assist you. The best course of action would be for one of the remaining members to visit each of the removed farms by tapping on them in the neighbourhood chat, and inviting them to join the hood again by tapping on the envelope at the top of the screen.

nai Welcome to JHD forum. I'm very sorry, too for what happened to you and your neighboorhood. To answer your question...no, fortunately that didn't happened to me and my neighboorhood. But that would be very uncommon as I'm only playing with my sister-in-law and some babyfarms. As this doesn't happen to me it doesn't mean that such a sick behaviour isn't happening at all, sadly. General problem is the lack of knowledge and trust for a new member. You can't know that, you can only take some precautions to minimize possible damage. I think it's difficult respectively impossible to avoid this when the member hides his real intentions subtle. As lynnk2021 and Cowslips pointed out there is no easy way to avoid such issues. You can be as cautious as you want, it doesn't protect against inappropriate behavior. The only advice given in similar situations is to leave this behind, learn from it and trying to do better the next time. I really wish you good luck!

This is a lesson learned the hard way I’m afraid. Sanity isn’t reflected by age or farm level.
Like cowslips mentioned you can try inviting them back, and the leader can also try and update the hood description so if the kicked members see it they can read it was a mistake.
The role of co leader comes with a responsibility and shouldn’t be handed out lightly. It’s not a status symbol. It’s also generally not a good idea to give it to people who ask for it.
There is also another option and that’s to promote everyone to co leader. Co leaders can’t kick other co leaders. But that also means only the leader can remove people from the neighborhood

OOPS soweeeeeee. Yeah, but after 8 years of happy play. We promote based on activity and helpfulness and he was super helpful, welcoming new members, giving stuff etc. Sooooo totally left field. Yes, we are trying to get them back but many are just now waking up now. Oh the horrors!

Super helpful, chatty, older with grand kids and then out of left field, bam! Kicked 8 members, left and is now trying to poach the members. So he actually earned co-leader position. Also most are co-leaders so he was only able to kick 8 which weren't yet. A couple were dead farms anyway so it was like 6 active players. Anyway, such is life, we just want to relax and have fun.

It is really unfortunate when these things happen and not fun at all. In hay day I haven’t heard many instances of such behavior but in clash of clans such stories were posted regularly on the old forums. Sometimes you just don’t see any signs of these things to come.

Yeah, mental health is a real concern. He got triggered! So far 1 returned and one went to his hood where I'm sure he's making up stories. Good riddance. I just want to play in peace.

I find it strange, that a person who got kicked out of the neighborhood by someone, would actually join that person’s “new” neighborhood. Doesn’t it state, “You were kicked out of the neighborhood by ABC (the person’s farm name”? Maybe get your leader to add “come back” to the neighborhood’s name. Maybe someone who was kicked out might look for the neighborhood… add “come back” or another message at the end of the hood’s name. So if they do look for it, they’ll find the beginning of the hood’s name. Also, try visiting the farms of the people that were kicked out and invite them back. Maybe they’re in your or other hood members last helpers list. Good luck!!!

Honestly I don't know what message you get since I've never been kicked. I don't think you can change your hood name but I did add a message in the description. Now we have 2 return so they are trickling back in.

Yeah, been doing that all day and so far 1 joined crazy, 2 came back and 2 went to other farms, 1 is MIA but he's a weekend warrior.

Thank you Cowslips for the above tip. TIL we may invite players by visiting their farms and tapping the envelope. Apparently, after 8 years of playing, I don't know what I don't know.

Same for me lynnk2021 . There should be a thread "things you did not know that you did not know" something like this. If I find it, I will put it there.
