What is happening? The truck event on today is quite ridiculous, imo. The first “purple” or special order wanted three each of five items, so 15 for ONE truck. Then it was asking for four each of two or three premium items. Or one was for 55/65 of a crop, which would tie up half of my fields for hours to restock. I keep sending orders away because they’re just too “greedy” and I think I’ve filled maybe 5 in about 7 hours? (Haven’t *actually counted.) Has it always been this way and I’ve only just noticed? Have I just levelled up one too many times? Or did something else change. I used to love sending trucks.

Sorry about your situation but, man, it has always been that way for me. Trucks are ridiculous on all my farms and I avoid them.

MommySnooks 🐯 I can't confirm whether the truck orders were always as greedy as you described but it would not surprise me. As BostonGirl stated they are out of the question in general and I avoid them as well.

One of the reasons I don't do them anymore as well.

I’m pretty particular when it comes to trucks. I don’t need coin, so I generally look to see what XP is offered. If it’s under 1000, it usually gets trashed right away. I look at quantity of products also, trashing most things that ask for more than 3 of one item.
This morning I trashed everything on the board to get the purple orders for the event. I was quite surprised that 5 very doable orders came up purple. And the ones that were ‘normal’ orders are ones that I would have trashed anyway.

I did trucks for derby. My barn was exploding so had to thin things out. I trashed the entire board and came back 30ish minutes. Later and did 7 tasks. All were reasonable and one was awesome. Trashed again and did all of the one that popped up after. Some good some break even ones. But I was okay with things.

A challenge is one thing, but when it’s so much of a nuisance that people don’t want to participate, it’s…eh. Time to change something?

Through the truck event, I did have some orders that I trashed quicker than the thought crossed my brain. The boat event for me was the one I never finished. I waved off all but 3 boats, not enough for the global reward.
I try to be a good neighbor and not ask for help on items that I wouldn’t fill. And that’s what the boats were for me.

Yeah, I got the boats this time, somehow, lol. Still restocking some things, and I used a booster (or two). If I really want to do it for some reason, I try. If my machines are tied up for a day or two after a boat task (jams, ice cream, this time it was juice bleh) and another boat asks for items or it’s a machine I don’t have, I usually send it away (assuming I’ll be back online in four or so hours for the next boat). (Same thing happens with trucks when multiple orders request the same items.) If I won’t be online much though, I’m not shy about asking for help. Imo that’s what the button (and “perk” of asking for extra help, no less) is for. Because although I can only hold 8-9 of most items, I know there are people out in the wider HD (literal world) that stock 40, 50, or more of a lot of things and wouldn’t miss an amount *I have a hard time with. Maybe they’re on a help task, who knows, lol. In that case I also put up an ad—or two, or three, lol—in the RSS. I am always truly thankful when neighbors and friends can help but I don’t just leave it to them and *expect it to get filled asap. I’ve also seen people who have the same ridiculous help request up for two or three days and I’m just thinking…Why? Put an ad up, already, lol.

I would not ever ask anyone to fill a task I would not consider. This goes for, trucks, boats, townies. Our hood is helpful and I have some wonderful neighbors that help. But if a task is not filled in a few hours, I will trash it. I also daily at least once go through my neighbors that need help list, and fill orders as I can that are not what I call crazy orders (20 milk, 26 sugar, etc) if I would trash it, I won't fill it for someone else lol. But, no one can have everything and so helpful players are truly appreciated!
