From what I have read in the past, during the x2 event town visitors will offer approximately 1.5 MP compared to the RSS. Items what they want to buy is based on the top 3 items in quantity you have, or something you have 0 in stock. Which I have seen today with my blanket stock. I just got this offer for peanuts. Peanuts stock is basically in the middle of the list in my silo. And this offer is 2.22 MP offered from RSS sales. So is it actually just random what the visitor offers and wants, sometimes it will be an item that you do not have in a large quantity and the price can be more then 1.5 max RSS value?

OP, what you have read online are often incomplete information, using whatever data those players used to compare the price (their RSS coin) when they make decision.
A few pointers for your research since we will have this event again this week:
- the amount of goods requested chosen by farm visitors is determined as follow: a range within X% and Y% of the current stock the momen they appear near the bridge. Even if you sell all your stock before checking their request hours later, the amount stays unchanged. - the amount of money offered can be obtained via a formula, consistently with the product's fixed order value (not their price for RSS).
--> for a given product, knowing how many requested, I can calculate how many coins they offered and vice versa.
