Hi
How do I help other farmers in completing their truck orders? Is it the ones with an exclamation mark in the newspaper? If someone could talk me through the process that would be great?
Also how does other players know when o need help?

If the person who needs help is a friend or neighbor, you'll see them on the "needs help" tab in your friends section. (The tab with the exclamation mark.) You'll also see an exclamation mark on the friends, followers, last helpers, neighbors, etc. tabs if the farm needs help. If you have chat turned on, you'll be notified in the neighborhood chat when a neighbor needs help.
If you want to ask for help, tap "ask for help" on the order, crate, or tree you need help on, then put an ad in the paper. (Tap "advertise now" when you put an item for sale.) People will then see an exclamation mark in the paper and know you need help.
There's no way to tell what kind of help someone needs until you visit their farm. It might be boat crates, it might be watering plants, it might be truck orders, it might be town orders. If it's boat orders, you'll see an exclamation mark by the boat dock. If it's town orders, you'll see an exclamation mark by the train station. If it's truck orders, it's by the truck order board. If it's none of those, it's probably a plant that needs watering, and you'll have to look for him. There will be an exclamation mark over it.

In addition, to help a truck order:
- make sure their truck is parked at the board. Otherwise you cannot fill order. They don't need to stop sending truck as you won't see it in real time, you only need to wait for the truck to come back.
If the order doesn't get completed, it means there is a sync issue (while other farmer is offline for example). They already got help and you cannot help again. Just a visual issue.

I never knew that. I've run into the problem from time to time, but had no clue what caused it. For me, it never happens with boat crates, but happens very frequently with the town. So much so that I mostly don't bother with helping in the town any more. I wonder if this was the cause for the earlier problem with the town, where you'd help, and it would take the items from your inventory but not actually credit you with helping, or turn off the help flag. |

I ran into this issue on all kind of help (tree, boat, truck, town) while helping my mini, so I'm positive my mini did get the help from the first time and can send thank you letter, even if another farm tried to help the second time, third or more time after. |
