I read we are getting an optional update. They fixed some bugs and also reduced the production time of the Affogato ice cream. Right now it’s 17 minutes. I’m sure that price will be changed again. Anyway I’m taking advantage of this short production time while I can.

The production time is still 17 minutes, don’t know if it will be longer after you’ve installed the optional update. Maybe somebody can post it here if they did the update. |

Production time changed after maintenance break, whether you install optional update or not, from 3 hours to 20 minutes.
On a mastered machine, from 2h33m to 17m.

Thx, the vanilla icecream needed to make the new product already takes a long time, good to see that’s only 17 minutes now for the final product. |

I installed from Play Store (android)
If you don't see update available yet, try enter hay day in search bar of the store. A tip that worked for me, the Open button turned into Update.

The update also contains a fix for a bug that allows players to get "night at the movies" rewards without watching any movies at all (applies to free to play players only).

Just got a notification from the App Store that there was a hay day update available. Now I’m on the same version that everyone else has.

ducktown2021 FYI:I also installed the latest HayDay version. (1.53.46) There is no delay getting the gift from the movie cards. You tap on it, the curtain is opening, then closing and you'll get the gift without watching the ad. I tested it with my babyfarm. I never bought diamonds with it.

Update:
I have actually no problems to get the gift without being "forced" to watch a trailer. But this applies not in every case. I just read in another forum (German HayDay forum) a user who stated he has to wait for the gift after installing the optional update.
Please be aware of that!

As long as it is optional there is no need for me to update the game, I have no bugs/glitches with my current version of the game on my babyfarms. I like it to get the gifts without having to watch the ads.

For me the only changes with the update was the time change for making the new affogato ice cream, down to just 17 minutes on a fully mastered machine, and I am back to being forced to watch (I actually mute the sound and walk away most of the time) two videos to get my two prizes from the movie ticket. The drop in time to make the affagato was huge, but if you compare it to the Fancy Cake that takes 12 minutes it is similar in that to make the affogato ice cream it takes a vanilla ice cream, and the Fancy Cake takes a Cream Cake to make it.
