Do you have a theme?
Do you name after people?
Or pets you've had?
Do you go for the pun?
Have you come across any memorable ones from other farms?

Hi BauldersGate 1.) No 2.) Yes, sometimes 3.) No 4.) No 5.) No When the occasion to name pets occured I loved it to do so. But with time passing by I got lazy on this matter. The last horses and Guines Pigs have therefore no names. The names given to my pets are random. No schedule. I used everything, German names I like, also American names. Sometimes I was in the mood to give them famous names. For example from "The Hobbit". But not "Gollum". Ha ha....

donkeyfan thats why I picked a theme, makes naming fun and easy, for me at least ๐
I've seen a farm who's animals where all named for places, London, Tokyo, Berlin, Amsterdam, etc I can imagine that makes naming a cinch as there's always another city to name a pet after ๐

I also saw a farm with pun/funny names such as
Chewbarka (dog), Mrs Meowface (cat), Cinnabun (rabbit)
That was quite cute

Well, I reveal one name, it's from one of the Andalusian horses... It's named: "Thorin Eichenschild". I think I mustn't translate this. I took the German version of course.

My theme of choice is 'Trees/Flora'
Native to the animal if I can manage it!
The latest to be named, the sheba Guinea pig, has the name 'Ichu'
(which is a grass native to Peru)
It has turned out to be very fitting name as Ichu sneezes as its animation ๐

The number and kind of pets I have are based on the ones Iโve owned (or in the case of the horse, my Dadโs), so their names are, too.
The Safari animals are based on either real ones I liked at a local zoo, or in other cases, their animations. One of the little hippos has a farting animation so kid and I named him Tooters. ๐ The other one stomps the ground and butterflies fly up, so we called him Stompers. One of the giraffes look like they are posing and smiling, so I named it after Twiggy, an old iconic American model. (I never had an opinion on Twiggy, but had recently seen her on an old โMuppet Showโ rerun that jogged my memory, lol.).
So Idk, I try to just have fun with it and go with whatever Iโm in the mood for at the time.
