I'm doing a truck task and I keep getting orders for products from the new machine. I bought the machine right away and I still have almost three days to get it. Why in the world would we be getting requests for these products?

Hi xkitty, I understand your frustration. And I also think it's ridiculous from SC to expect that. But I can remember a statement from Nick, the former community manager from the "old" Supercell forum stating that if you own a new machine you are able to produce the given items. Irrespective if the machine is ready. And they won't change that. |

Hi xkitty, I understand your frustration. And I also think it's ridiculous from SC to expect that. But I can remember a statement from Nick, the former community manager from the "old" Supercell forum stating that if you own a new machine you are able to produce the given items. Irrespective if the machine is ready. And they won't change that. I think a better formulation would be if you "unlock" an item (be at a level to produce the item) - not necessary own a machine, you can get an order (town, boat, truck) for it. Looking at a bigger picture: - player can buy them from other farmers (if they find one selling) and use Tom to get them. Currently, there's little reason to buy Flower Maker at lv49 to make Rustic Bouquet. - player can purposely choose not to buy machine to get easy order if they can avoid order for the new items --> imagine a full order board with bakery or dairy mill or sugar mill product if player doens't have any other machine  This rare situation only happens at update introducing new machine, I'm fine with it and a few free Tom booster I got /swapped from Valley/ Bunny/ Farm Pass and saved for these situations. |

Be aware of this possibility. I also use Tom often to circumvent the occurring problems with a new machine and not to be able to get the required products immediately.
But, it's my firm belief that it wouldn't hurt if SC offered a possibility to be prepaired for upcoming orders. And I don't mean using Tom but to have a little bit more time to finalize the new machine. |

More time, for what? Truck and town orders don't have a time limit, unlike boat orders. Why would players need time?

Random question just popped into my head.
It feels like there’s something I don’t know about…trashing orders.
If I get an order for something I can’t make and don’t want to/can’t use Tom (there’s too much I need r now anyway), I just trash them and wait for a new order board. No big deal.
But I don’t see anyone talking about it here very often. Is there some disadvantage to that, that I don’t know about?

OP is on a derby truck task in Blossom Derby!!! 30minutes wait time for next order, and we are having a Global truck event going on.
Town order could be in similar cases (townie needed for a derby task or the building being the last of 3 to be served).
Beside this, I can't think of any kind of pressure to complete order at all.

Frog To finalize the new machine properly without the need using diamonds to accelerate this. Some users are concerned about orders they can't fulfill. They are irritated being confronted with new products and don't know how to serve it because the machine is still in "construction". On the other side is the occurring question why are new machines supposed to need days before functioning properly? I think it would be a good idea to buy them and to use them without delay. Of course, you can use diamonds, if you want (and I'm sure SC would appreciate that), you can use Tom, you can trash unwanted tasks, but that doesn't eliminate the primary imbalance.

I guess I would never understand that in a strategy game where ressources management is one the reason that keep me playing. I appreciate the wait time so I can be away from the game without feeling guilty towards my truck who is waiting.

I guess I would never understand that in a strategy game where ressources management is one the reason that keep me playing. I appreciate the wait time so I can be away from the game without feeling guilty towards my truck who is waiting. I shall respect your opinion and stop here. We are going slightly off topic. I meant no offence, Frog. All good. And to differ in some opinions is not bad. I also respect yours. I didn't want to crash the thread. I'm also out here.

Yes that’s how I feel as well. Before I always wished that when a new machine was introduced there would be a slightly longer period (a few days) before the game started asking for new products from a newly introduced machine just to give players a chance to build the machine normally and start producing the new goods. Nowadays because of developments within the game I do have a slightly different view because of the reason you mentioned. With the Farm Pass it’s quite possible and not all that difficult for players to get a free Tom booster every month on the free road so it’s not even the paid version. There are usually only about 4 updates a year and not every update comes with a new machine. The game also provides free diamonds. A day of Tom is only 15, we just had a diamond global townie event with diamonds as global prize and diamonds in the reward tiers. So yea I’m ok with it too, nowadays. |
