I believe it’s the first time that we have a week with boat orders for permits and another one for puzzle pieces. I can't believe it. Really? A permit ship event? I don't know what to say. I have to let that sink in first. Oh, that's a German saying. I hope the meaning is understandable in English.  I see, on that day I have to interrupt my break to get all permits. Perhaps SC got our complaining about the permits and they decided to soften up their restriction a little bit. Very much appreciated.  |

The only concern I have is that the ingame description in my language uses puzzle pieces as a reward in plural, but the permit not in plural. So let’s hope that it’s a translation issue and that the permit is not a reward like the global 10 diamonds. maybe somebody can check in other languages, fingers crossed. |

I also noticed that the puzzle pieces were in the plural and permit was singular. We have had permit events before but it is a very long time ago. |

I would think the permit boat event, and puzzle boat event would be the same as past ones we've had. Which was to get 5 in each event.

I don't know if this farm pass tip is well known... as the expansion scroll boat event starts when the farm pass season ends both a boat crate and Tom booster can be used (activate right before the season ends).
There's also another farm pass trick where you fill up production slots on a machine with extra slots from the farm pass perk, and when the season ends the first two or four items will be instantly produced. I usually have four slots on the ice cream maker and cake oven, and have in the first four slots strawberry ice cream and cheese cake. Turns 14 hours of production time into seconds.
To do this you need to have enough ingredients to produce enough items to fill all open slots, and it is not a good idea to have Ernest active (especially if you want to do this with the dairy and/or sugar mills... he can get in the way).
However, I figure the expansion scroll boat has to set out after the event starts, and since this will be after the farm pass season ends this trick won't be possible. But one could get lucky.

I woke up this morning and excitedly jumped onto the boat event, using one of my precious booster cards, -3 boat crates, speeding up the boats with diamonds to collect the puzzle pieces  oh, I love collecting puzzle pieces Next, I hopped on over to the town to see about the collected puzzle pieces. And then the rude awakening, I already have all my animals running around the sanctuary.  omg-moment! I am so blonde!   |

Already activated the Tom and 3 crates boosters while the current farm pass is till active and filled all the additional slots on the machines. |

That’s correct, but you have to call in boats after the event started. If you had one on it’s way before the event starts it won’t count. You will not see a permit at the dock, like you will with a puzzelboot. thats one of the reasons I leave a filled boat at the dock and send it away after the event started. after you have done the five permit boats the next one should be a puzzle boat. Since it’s the start of a new month. |

The next five boats did, though, so I've now received my quota for the event. Five in a row, and the next the puzzle boat for 1st new month. Done with the event. Helping my friends the next 23hrs where I can. |

Another thing to watch out for is whether the event becomes effective on your farm. Since a while, it is not when you stay online at event start or first time log in after event had started. You can check this by looking at the event board (blank). In this case, if you sent off a boat while event board is still blank, next boat won't have reward. During truck event, orders won't display x2 amount. Simply reload the game (visit other farm, fishing lake, town..) then back to your farm. Event board should display current event and you can benefit from the event now. |

CS needed prove though that I did the boats. |
