Hay day pet peeves

I want to complain about something which annoyes me already a long time.. 

Why am I getting only 5 diamonds by leveling up in town? In my opinion the level-up in town is much harder than the farm. It's always a little bit of a disappointment. You're only getting more diamonds by reaching a threshold of a tenner. Not comprehensible. 

🌻 Farmgirl 👩‍🌾 , you are so right. I understand this so well because I had a time with unwanted foxes as well. I managed to fix the issue but it was annoying and took some time.

Additional, when the foxes begin to spread over the whole farm (not only in the left top corner nearby the shore) it becomes very laborious to get rid of them.

Concerning this matter I also don't understand why SC doesn't give the farmer the possibility to decide whether they want to keep the foxes or not. I also think they are ugly, an annoying disturbance. 

I placed my barn in the upper left corner. Who cares about foxes behind a barn.

The foxes have been a very long pet peeve of mine 🙄

Every time I state that I am rid of the foxes (have I just done it again?), they come back. They are graphically “cute” however, between Tom, the puppies and the foxes, there is just too much scratching going on and it makes me itchy 🫣

So my pet peeve of the day, of the years, is an old one that I am sad to find is still ever present. Maybe it's on the forum already somewhere. I've only been back in the game a few weeks, after 4 Years!! And already I am disgusted with these random people in the DD. It is MY fault, I know-- I help some random person in the DD with something and then I get bit, cause they then are stalking my not-very-interesting RSS and raiding it Every Single Time I put something other than crops in! I try to put various goods up for my friends from time to time throughout the day, but it is taken by a person I helped. 

I Love helping people. I know that if I want to help, I shouldn't put desirable things in my shop. But geeze! Some people just have no shame! Same thing when you have a help flag for some trees or bushes and they come and clear out your shop and go. Even when the plant is Right There By the shop!! Thankfully it seems I can count on little level farmers to help out with that stuff. I mean, Besides my incredibly awesome friends!! 

I came on here for a break right after an instance just happened with me helping someone. This person had a boat crate flagged for cornbread, the boat was leaving in an hour. I was 2 cornbread short. Low and behold the next shop I went into had cornbread! So I bought it and went back and filled that person's boat crate. IMMEDIATELY when I got back to my farm, all the axes and saws and EMs I put into my shop were gone- taken by that very person I just helped!! Kicking myself for being such an idiot! But also wishing I could kick them too! 

Ah. I feel a little better having gotten that off my chest. I guess I will either only help my friends, or only sell crops if I feel I must help random, unknown players. But what a shame! I have some wonderful people on my friends list I have "befriended" just by me or them shopping in the DD! Okay. I don't know what to do. Help!!!  😔😕😭

Thank you donkeyfan . Yes don't put desirable things in your shop if you feel compelled to help others! And if you don't want things to go to "other people"! 🤣 Such a shame. But, that is how its always been. What's in your shop is fair game! 

As for how long you stay on a person's last helpers list, I think it really depends on that person's habits of farming and how often they ask for help. If I'm remembering correctly from the old HD forum, there's a limit of 10(?) people on your last helpers list. (Unless a lot of people helped you just recently and you haven't restarted your game yet. Once you restart, the "old" last helpers usually disappear). And what was usually recommended was a week of wheat. 😋 

Just for clarification, no matter what's in my shop, I do very well understand that anyone can take it. There are no reservations for certain people to have said items. And honestly, as long as things sell then that's good for me right now! I just wish some people would have better manners like you said donkeyfan ! Also as I said previously, just coming here and complaining about it helped a lot! So thanks for your patience everyone! 😻😸😀

Early on in this game, the frogs visited m farm.  I got rid of them by placing a pond very near them.  Frogs jumped into the pond and disappeared.  Putting the pond on top of them will work too.

I heartily agree with you about the foxes.  There should be a switch to turn them off, or at the very least, an easy way to rid your farm of them.  Foxes are disgusting.

You're both right. Very annoying meanwhile. I have to admit that I was very excited and happy to be able to name my pets in the first place. As I have ALL animals and I'm commited that they stay at their stable I have to tap on every pet and animal separately. It's a sort of pain, sometimes. 

Meanwhile I'd appreciate it if this behaviour (rename and bopping around until settled) would disappear. I can resign from this. 

I like to name my pets too. It would be good to have the option to switch it off in settings once you have named your pets.

I won't buy any booster. I think you mean free boosters e. g. ship-event, valley, sometimes WOF. As far as I know there is no limit, but only the booster from valley can be added without being "forced" using diamonds.

If the game shows you a "window" by adding a booster and wants to know, whether to delete or switch the booster, I would consider what's the best thing. If the new booster is unwanted e. g. 10 % for some machines I'd delete this at once. If you get a booster with Tom for 25 hours look in the booster storage whether there is a booster you could spare.

Sometimes you'll get a booster from the valley which doesn't interest you as well, but remember, it's a booster which is "free", you have not to pay diamonds to keep it. So take it and use it for the next time to be able to switch it with a booster you desire and which is not free.

I hope I could make myself understandable. Sometimes I tend to mix my English with German spelling.

As I stated, what you put in your shop is fair game to Anyone. I guess I was just surprised by this last time how Fast this person was to come and buy. Sometimes people I help will come buy a few slots of crops or whatever little thing may be in my shop at the time as a thank you and all's good! This person was Immediate! I filled their boat crate and went back to my farm and they had already been there! And instead of buying just one or a few things they bought Everything. Not nice! 😉
