Miningtools vs ore vs 10 diamonds

Today, I collected 10 diamonds in the mine. I used 29 dynamites, 10 TNT, 59 shovels and 7 pick axes…..and collected  a total of 300 ores. 

Yes, I didn’t think I would need so many mine tools. Next time, after the derby…. I’ll try using only pick axes. I think I’ll probably need 30 pick axes to collect 300 ores. I’ll let you know.

I never paid attention on the number of diamonds I get from the mine, but I believe I read on the old forum that shovels are the best tool to get diamonds out of the mine. Could this still be true?

Just finished my first mining research.

I used dynamite only on this run to see how many I needed to have the daily 10 diamonds drop. In the beginning I got a diamond for every 19-20 dynamite sticks I used, so around 40 ores. In the middle it took more, in the end towards the 8th drop till 10th less.

207 dynamite sticks used, you would expect 414 ores, but no... (maybe I still had 5 ores in my barn). So in the end an avarage of 21 dynamite sticks for 1 diamond.

Next try will be later this week using tnt barrels only.

Yes, but once I am finished with all mining research I want to do. Don’t know yet if the number of ores is the only trigger, or the different types of ores are also playing a factor. Same with the “points” for feeding pets etc to get the drops.

I got enough mining tools with regards to TNT and shovels, most likely not enough Pickaxes. 😂

So I have enough space in my barn to continue. Tomorrow I will use TNT barrels only to get the daily 10 diamonds.

If my expectations are correct (based on 🧨 experiences) I need 14 barrels to get a drop. And a total 142 barrels for 10 diamonds. But that’s only if the logic behind it is the same.

I just started with the TNT part of my research. I used 32 barrels tnt and stopped. After the 8th barrel I got a diamond that counted, at the 12th barrel another diamond that did not count.

I didn’t mine yesterday, so I think the 10 diamonds per day might no longer be valid, but I don’t know for sure. I will continue with my research but wait till next Sunday.

I had enough TNT and finally I continued. The results will be posted in a minute. Strange thing was that my diamond count went up (it jumped) by 4, so I was on track again for the 10 diamonds per day.

i expected to use 142 TNT barrels, based on the number ores that I got using dynamite.

The shovel part.

For the 10 diamonds drop I needed 88 shovels. I mined 352 ores. That’s about 35 ores per single drop. So 9 shovels for a 💎

Just finished the part with the pickaxes. I needed 95 pickaxes to get the daily 10 diamonds. That’s 10 pickaxes for one 💎

So I needed to mine around 48 ores to get a diamond.

Next part I am going to spent some time on is to see if the diamonds drop after X ores mined reagardless of ore type and miningtool used.

I haven’t read the whole thread, so my apologies if this has already been mentioned.

In Clash we get gems for removing trees and bushes etc., and it’s designed to appear random. It’s not actually random, but a fairly decently long pattern that someone figured out long ago but I never needed to pay attention to, lol.

Could these diamonds be the same, with more of a random-ish drop that balances out for everyone over a certain period of time?
