With the current special fish event I was wondering how everybody is doing on catching all the different types/weights of fish.
so far I caught 1 new fish, and need close to 30 😂 to complete my book.
I think so far I didn’t go after the fish with lures that need vouchers to make, because I mostly make the free lures. Time to catch up and see if I can catch some fishes that I still need during this event.

I've caught all weights during the previous event (had to use all of my boosters!..) so this time for me it's only about derby tasks being easier to complete.
I still have some regular fish that lack golden and platinum weights, however. The boosters are quite rare and I can't remember getting anything different from 1/2 stars - though these might be better when you need golden weighted fish, not platinum one.

I am still missing that flippin' platinum weight golden trout!
I normally only spend extra diamond to call boats during derby for the task, but I was sure that between voucher fishing, derby fishing tasks (I did 6 fishing tasks today) and 2 boosters I would get it... but oh no... not me! (Que the 2 year old whinning hissy fit!) LOL
I have tried everything.... only golden lure, small circle, casting right handed, left handed, morning, noon, night, waking up in the middle of the night, each day of the week (I even made a chart! Lol), talked sweetly to Angus ... I think someone stole that single fish from my lake.....

Having caught all the special event fish a long time ago, I only catch enough weight to get the global threshold and hope we get the group total.
On a side note, I have collected all the fish, but require 10 weights to complete my book. I'm in no hurry because I find it boring. Sorry for those of you who enjoy it. But I'd rather use nets.

I agree but it is an easy source of free diamonds. Only fish that require new weight give diamonds. So for me it's only 10 chances. If I don’t get the correct weight needed I'm just wasting lures; and time. 🙂 |

I’m fully aware of that, but it’s not that hard to catch the right fish. Plenty of guidance for spots, lure colors and sizes in those spots as well as quite a few YouTube’s and Reddit posts with hints how to tell the type of fish and size. I get it. And I'm also aware of all the fish spots and lures and the size of holes. I have a database full of it. I'm just saying I need 1 specific weight in a few fish, and they take multiple tries to get the correct Weight. Of which I'm not in any hurry for. |

I like the fish event too. But not for my main farm but my babyfarm. Although I'm missing some fish on my main farm I don't force it because like RescueSquad15. (RS 15)🪓 stated it's not so easy to get precisely the missing fish. And just as RescueSquad15. (RS 15)🪓 I don't like fishing with lures very much, the wriggling fishes get on my nerves. I also use rather nets. But for my babyfarm it's great. The number of missing fish is still large and in this respect the occasion to get those fishes is well accepted. Not to mention the diamonds, they are also very welcome. |

I have caught all types of fish, but am missing five sizes, either platinum or gold. Like many things in HD, it seems to give what you have already and don’t need again, but not give what you want. I need gold size for Gold Fish, I have caught multiple platinum sizes but never gold size, I have given up for the moment and save my vouchers for custom decos. I have always thought that there should be an achievement for catching all types of fish, with a big statue of a fish as the prize, it takes a lot of effort and it would be a nice to have a trophy to show for it. |
