What do you think of the yard sale event? If you are not looking for coins I can’t understand why you would get rid of your hard earned decos during this yard sale. Unless you don’t like the decos.
Some decos, like the music instruments, I have never seen again.
For me this event is worthless.

IMO, the yard sale event is a non-event. If I have ever sold to the visitors it’s been by accident.
Deco takes no space in the barn, so why be concerned. Give me a better way to sort out the deco I do have. Or better yet, when I have scrolled waaaaay down to get a deco to place, take me back to that spot when I am immediately going right back. But no, it takes me to the top and I have to scroll again. This is probably why I don’t change my farm more often.

My fear is always that I might accidentally sell to them during this event. I definitely cannot see any reason to sell decos!

If you're interested in getting the musical instruments, they're offered in the deco tab. Scroll across to get the diamond offers and you will find them all there. It will cost you 25 diamonds per instrument. They were originally all free on the WOF a few years back. I have a bunch of each, but won't give them back to game for coins. |

I agree, too. This so named "event" will be completely ignored from me. I don't like it to serve the farm visitors anyway, so it's not difficult to do so.  |

I remember years ago when the instruments seemed like they were about the only deco ever given for anything … wheel, derby, everything was an instrument for a prize. People had like 20 cellos and 15 harps and 30 tubas and were begging for some new deco. I think a couple people complained that they wished they could trash them from storage, they were so sick of seeing them. And SC did kind of an 'okay, in your face' new event, lol.
I agree this event is totally lame.

I definitely agree with everyone, it is worthless (decos don't take space and some decos that the visitors ask are bought with diamonds if I am not wrong - I may well be wrong).
There is only 1 benefit for me: I haven't opened the sanctuary in any of my baby farms = if I get sanctuary related tasks in the farm pass, my chances are low and I am relying on the daily tasks and other "big-point" tasks. So, whenever this event is going on, I am trying to get and keep visitors asking for simple deco for "sell to visitors" tasks (I generally get ridiculous visitors' requests such as asking for 100 axes).

I never really understood the logic about the visitors in general. They either ask for the items you have the most of or the items you have least of. Why? I wish SC would rework it, so the visitors could be used to make a dent in our supplies. They keep adding new products and machines without adjusting the demand. In my opinion this imbalance between supply and demand is the biggest problem in HD at all. Just selling the excess through the RSS gets boring real fast.
To end on a lighter note I was offered 39 coins for three plants the other day. Talk about an offer that is hard to refuse - after all I only have 27 million coins so the 39 coins would really be needed. Not! Luckily it could have freed up space. Oh, sorry don't need that either. 🙄😊😂

They do only ask for your excesses which are in storage, however, I wish they would change the items which are requested. They seem to be the same set🙄

Never liked this event either. I use farm visitors only for selling excessive wheat, and the event lowered my chance of doing so. I recently thought about putting those few decos involved in the event on my farm (luckily I don't have many), so that the visitors wouldn't come and ask for them - they ask only for the decos from your storage and if there's more than 3 of one type.
Another reason is that the event seems worthless to me. I remember the visitors asking for Layered Topiary and offering some nonsense amount of coins. It surely costed me more to buy it from shop - so where's the profit? The decos don't even take up precious barn space.
