Hi farmers,
Happily, I’ve been able to complete a couple of derby boat tasks to help reach event goals. I’ve reached the global participation benchmark of five boats, and I’m trying to decide whether to keep filling boats. As of now, it looks like we should have no problem hitting the 15M goal for the 10 💎 global prize. If I consider the last two threshold prizes “worth it”, I’ll continue — particularly if more boat tasks appear on our derby board. So far, I’ve gotten decos for the first two prizes and tools as the third. Is there anybody out there with info to share on the 4th and 5th threshold prizes??

Although we are currently on track the pace is dropping, seems that a lot of players stop after reaching the PT of five boats. I do the same, not worth all the effort for 10 louzy diamonds unless there is deco in fourth (no) or final threshold.

I do the same, not worth all the effort for 10 louzy diamonds unless there is deco in fourth (no) or final threshold. That's among other things one reason for me not to participate at all. It's not only the poor final reward, it's the deco and the threshold deco as well. Beach area is meanwhile overcrowded with deco but the available place doesn't match. Secondly the threshold rewards are poor as well. If you are "lucky" you're getting planks, or tapes for example. Many players are reporting about getting 5 pick-axes or 5 saws. I consider that to be impudence since the ships are demanding mostly products with a great value. Thanks, but NO thanks. I am glad avoiding such events since ages. |

Yup. Shovels for #3 and nails for #4. Sigh. As was noted, the pace has slackened. Boats are my least favorite. This was a particularly evil string to prep for — bread followed by popcorn, then pasta. As I said, if a boat task shows up, I may go for the last few boats.

Olive dip, olive dip, then fish? Mint tea, then mint tea. Apple oatmeal, so making 6 apple jam that’ll take 2 days. Tomato juice. Wish me luck that it doesn’t ask for 16 of the silly things. What is up with that. It’s like when you have three townies ask for several of the same long-production items, or three truck orders wanting the same things. Just that it’s worse for boats due to the amount. This game is weird, lol.

I had a boat asking for 12 tomato juices... for some reason I had 32 (I think it was from an excess of tomato due to a "plant tomato for valley sun points" task... I also have a lot of roast tomato).
I had another boat wanting strawberries AND strawberry jam (didn't bother to check how much of each), and another wanting 12 passionfruit jam (those two boats got sent away unfulfilled).
I've reached five boats and I am done (it doesn't mean there won't be more boats I'll do, just that I'm not aiming to do any more specifically for the event).

I've not made any extra effort to fill boats (other than using a booster to fill 1 crate in each); I've just done boats as usual, so I'm able to see the prizes as a bonus. I'm really pleased that Supercell put the decos on the milestone path this time. That way we aren't dependent on other players' input to receive them, which would be the case if one was the global prize. |

For those who are dealing with boats regularly are the rewards welcome and can be considered as an extra-income. For me....as someone who dislikes boats so much it would be an annoyance. Fortunately everyone can proceed how it suits most.

Put deco in last threshold and players will keep on filling boats if they want that deco. The 10 diamonds are daily available in the mine with far less effort. 😉 the other rewards I get from wheating, more fun and guaranteed. |
