I would like to see another tree that works like the bee tree or the squirrel tree. A mulberry tree with silkworms that would provide the raw material (silk cocoons) for new products in machines like the loom, sewing machine, and hat maker. None of those have gotten a new product in ages. The mulberry trees could be pretty, too, with their berries. In the olden days, all elementary schools in California had a mulberry tree so that the kids could raise silkworms as a project. I did it for years with the eggs spending the winter in my fridge. The migrating western tanagers loved the berries (big mess under the trees, 😆 )

I agree with your point and idea in general. I wouldn’t mind at all. I just think of the people that get grossed out by frogs and foxes though, and wonder how they would react to little worms dropping and rising out of trees or wiggling around in them. Well, they have the little spider tree at Halloween, though, so maybe people wouldn’t be bothered by it? Especially since unlike frogs and foxes, they would be producing something.
