I think adding fertilizer as a way to speed up your crops growth speed could be a good idea

Thanks for suggesting this, pumpkinpioneer; and welcome!
I think this has potential!! We can speed things up with boosters, but the choices are limited. The only other way to speed up crops is the event that speeds everything up. I avoid that event since it just overloads my silo.
It would be great if we could target the crop(s) we want to accelerate. It could be a booster; but, offhand, I can’t think of a way to activate it for the crop of my choice. If it were a new thing (always fun!) maybe it could be some kind of “tool” that was good for a specific number of plots, maybe ten. The fertilizer could be another drop like all the other materials.
NOTE: “fertilizer” is listed in the “no immediate plans, but maybe someday” section of the “ruled out ideas” post at the top of this subforum. It specifically mentions “animal manure” which isn’t what I’m suggesting here — not that our farm animals wouldn’t be happy to contribute, I’m sure. 😊

I like this idea, and the suggestion of how to make it more specific to our farms/land than the current crop booster cards and events. We can speed up a plot for diamonds, but the current option is only for a single plot, and adds up too quickly.

One idea to make fertilizer is to have composting machine- take the leftovers from the other machines put them in a composting machine to make fertilizer. The leftovers would be coffee grounds, tea leaves, peels from fruits, apple cores, wheat, oat, sugarcane shafts and others. You could the use the fertilizer to either increase yeilds ( instead 2 per plot of land get 3) or reduce time.
