I am a huge fan of decorations and July is certainly a deco-lover’s dream. However, there are now so many being offered that I’m actually getting selective about what I spend diamonds ($$) on. I’ve skipped some things I would have bought in the past simply because there is no room for them. Especially the beach-themed ones. Unless they open up the sanctuary beach or give me a usable beach at the lake, I’m beached out.
When I watched the July dairy news video, there was a comment from a level 300+ farmer who said it was all great, but there was no room to put it all without additional land. That farmer had opened all the plots! I still have at least a year’s worth of work to do to clear all my land. I have specific areas I’d like to create, but I have to rotate them like crops now. I have a “party field” that was always where I put holiday displays. Right now, it’s “birthday central” and in July, it will be the county fair. Then the fair will go into storage until next July. If I were to commandeer a chunk of the sanctuary, I could create a year-round fairground, but there’s no way to naturally access it. No bridge. I have a safari campsite there, but the campers waded through the river. I can’t expect my fair-goers to do that!
From the very beginning — tending to the farm expansion, keeping in tune with the (northern hemisphere) seasons, laying out new dedicated areas — creating a realistic, natural environment has been my goal. Everywhere on my farm is accessible to a person (or animal) walking through. I also try to preserve natural features, especially trees. Chopping an original tree is a big decision. I’m not as attached to the rocks, but I work around them if possible — unless the goats want a thrill. If I were to clear all my land, I would possibly (not!) have room for all the new decor collections. Over time, as decor collections have grown, I’ve created a huge zen garden, and an oasis by the aviary. These are permanent features. Even so, lots of the decor that belongs in those areas is in storage. (Still very confusing to access.)
There are fences and stepping stones that appear on the WoF that I have never seen offered anywhere else. Yesterday, there was a yellow fence with pineapple finials. Where did that come from?? I didn’t land on it. Even spending diamonds for extra spins, it would be difficult to get enough to do anything with. (So far, I have a total of four of the white fence with red panels and a cut-out heart which I hope to use someday.)
And, Greg!! He’s been getting lazier and lazier. I shouldn’t have to depend on visiting friends’ farms to see what decor will look like in the actual farm setting.
So, my wish list:
👩🏽🌾 More storage organization
👩🏽🌾 More up-to-date, comprehensive displays on Greg’s farm
👩🏽🌾 More beach land
👩🏽🌾 More LEMs and permits if the tsunami of decor is going to continue which looks probably with the introduction of the collection book
