Discovered this rock, after the update, in the middle of my farm. I'm happier than Charlie Brown on Halloween. My neighbour had one too but blew it up. I'm keeping mine.

Hey @horkster, it looks interesting, and a little bit more farmlike. It's a pity that many farmers crashed the stones or cut down the original trees. In autumn and winter they show beautiful colours and snow. Today I regret it.

Had I known, I would have done things differently, too. Hindsight's 20/20.
But I'll never learn, because what's the first thing I do when I open a new plot of land? Clear it.

I have kept most of the rocks and the swampy pools. They do get in the way when trying to organise deco etc but I am determined to keep them at the moment - watch this space 👀

Like many, I started by clearing the land on my farm, but later realised that I was removing decorations that changed with the seasons, so I stopped removing them all as new land was provided.
Of course, it's possible to cut down one of the original trees by accident. That happened to me several times when I had a sudden attack of "sausage fingers". Nowadays I use a stylus, so it happens less frequently (although just a few days ago I did chop down a tree I wanted to keep).
It's all a matter of personal choice, of course, but there's one thing I struggle to understand: why do some farmers cut down the trees on the other side of the river?

Good question, Cowslips, I also don't understand that. I have a babyfarm, actually Level 53, where I tried to keep all rocks, swampy pools and trees. I built the machines around it, and in most cases I succeeded. So became my babyfarm very natural. I hope I can keep this for a long time. It's beautiful and relaxing to watch.

Many years ago, we had a young farmer who said she cut them down and I had to do it to see if it was true. Kind of like a “Wet Paint” sign, I guess? Anyway, I thought it meant I could decorate over there. Sadly, all you get is a unnecessary barren patch of land🥺

I’m glad to know there is a new rock. I went back to my farm to try to find it, but I can’t. I have kept so many of the original rocks - in part by using all tnt and dynamite asap, and only keeping shovels and pick axes for mining derby tasks. That’s so I don’t accidentally explode rocks like I accidentally cut down trees! Like many of you, I initially cleared plots, until I realized that I prefer a more natural look, and that I love the trees and swampy areas as the seasons change. So now I only get rid of these by accident - or if I simply can’t resist moving a machine or something to a precise spot. I try to resist that impulse now.

The rock is almost in the centre of the right field. A little closer to the cliff than the road, maybe a little further towards the new area. Not sure if it appears if there's already something placed on that spot.

My hood mate found this rock yesterday. I told her it was to hold down the light olive oil she was producing. Attachments:

Lol wussy. I guess if they’re just dropping from the sky, like the one on the sauce machine bench, those sheep are lucky they only had a a near miss!

I gotta love this thread title🤣
Besides growing up with Charlie Brown, the first time I referenced it to my girls, I had them rolling on the floor

Looking forward to Besta joining us. I remember that thread. It inspired me to make scratching posts for my kitties, which I still have today

Ha! I found my rock almost immediately as it was in the middle of my cow pen. I went into Edit mode to place the new machines and when I told the game to Save Changes, it declared that “Oops!” There was an error and that my cow pasture had been returned to storage. 😵💫
Heaved a sigh of frustration, came out (hence undoing all my hard rearranging work), blew that sucka up and went back in. That rock is responsible for at least one point on my blood pressure. 😁

Feeling a little left out here, can’t find a new rock on my farm ☹️. Must be hidden by something

Feeling a little left out here, can’t find a new rock on my farm ☹️. Must be hidden by something It’s on the right side of the farm close to the very back of the farm. If you haven’t opened all your land on that side - prior to the new lots - or if you’ve opened it but have your land in a natural state the rock won’t register as a new thing (or an annoyance, you know, depending upon one’s perspective. 😏 )

That’s about where my cow pen is on my farm.

I too found a new rock after the update. It was located right in the middle of a wall I had around my horse pen...I had to remove parts of the wall then I exploded the rock and watched the chickens go crazy, then reinstalled the wall!
