Anyone with hints or tips they’re happy to share? It’s been a while since I went for a three line derby but I’d like to do so this week. But the tasks I’m likely to need take forever to show up .. is there any way around this other than delete delete delete repeat … ? 😺

You did not mention whether you want to do 320 task only as well. For bingo lines: I would say team up at at least 3 people so you can place spare bingo lines for backup. 3 is sufficient with only 1 task needed for each bingo cases. If bingo lines is you sole concern, then you don't even need to wait for 320 pts tasks. This guide is missing number but should be enough to give you idea that the more opted-in, the harder it is to fulfill a bingo case. justhayday.boards.net/thread/177/legacy-bingo-derby-number-leagueTask on board does take into consideration of your team member level, make sure there is no task that their level is too low to take. otherwise, you could be short on task avaialle to fulfill bingo cases.

This is usually my strategy: I do not try to plan which lines will become bingo. I trash anything that comes up that is not on my bingo board. If your board has the dreaded wool, goat milk or bacon, and the task comes up, I do not trash it. It may be necessary, so at least the task is there.
Normally, we have 3 hood mates playing. The above seems to work. We take turns which of us will take the long not so fun task.
If you are playing solo, this probably would need some adjustment.

Thanks both .. it’s just me playing solo and taking 320 tasks only, though I guess I could consider lower point tasks if I’m likely to drop from C league anyway due to the key Bingo tasks being so elusive.

Ask yourselves why you want to stay in CL. The cups are just pixels, the rewards for placing top3 are meh. The scrolls and puzzle pieces, if that’s the reason, don’t show up in last two columns anyway. The other rewards you might get from harvesting your fields. The next week most likely you be back in CL if you might drop. When your attitude is that you know that SC will always make us work for scrolls and puzzle pieces, well……, guess you get the point. same considerations why would you want to do bingo derby and complete the 3 rows. in the end it’s your playstyle and the goals you set for yourselves. 😉

Thanks ducktown for putting a sensible perspective on this. I’m after scrolls mainly so will risk dropping out of CL and not let the derby pressure to stay up get to me 😺

As a reminder, rewards coming in bingo lines are similar to the ones offered in Bunny column: permit, blueprint, puzzle piece, higher amount of BEM/SEM/LEM, 5x diamonds.... (booster as well but only when you can swap or use, otherwise not interesting)
There are return of experience about which can contain in which derby column, which is part of hood stategy how to do their derby. This info is not yet consolidated into a public guide, but much more like secrets tips that ones come to know after a lot of observations.

Good advice here! I play with just one other NH member. We don’t plan on which lines to complete because it’s possible that a needed task will NEVER appear even with frenzied trashing. We take any reasonable 320 bingo task that shows up even if it doesn’t fall on a line we think we want. If a non-320 point bingo task appears — even a very low point task — we leave it on the board and hope that a higher-point version appears. We keep trading up until we get a 320, get desperate, or find we don’t need that task for a bingo. We’ll leave the dreaded wool and goat milk on the board following the same method.
The best ever bingo news was allowing individual lines to complete rather than the original model where you had to complete all the lines at once. That was torture.
Getting all three bingo lines is definitely worth more (yay, permits!) than trying to get a trophy or stay in CL. My hoodie and I have dropped down a league a few times recently, and after the first shock, it’s very restful. 😊

Just saying. 😉

We are after permits and don’t worry about dropping a league. It is restful to be a bit lower.
