Hello, as Hay Day introduces a new type of event during April 2024, here's a thread to help gather all related questions/answers to keep our community well informed. Feel free to drop questions/observations/finding/bug reports as you experience this new event. Here's what Dairy News ( link) tell us: County Fair screenshot 1 County Fair screenshot 2 County Fair screenshot 3 My take from Dairy News about what is not clearly stated:The length of event: screenshot show 24 days however this can only be confirm once it is live in game How many basket we can fill: once a basket is filled (pocorn), it gets replaced by another basket instantly (cherry jam). No info about the delay or max basket that can be filled daily. To be confirmed in live game. Ending lucky bonus: at anytime, you can always tap on button " End Bonus" and keep whatever you have uncovered without going to the next round(s). Go to next round: as soon as you have uncovered 3 items, you could tap on button " Next round". This way, you are nor forced to keep opening slot until you get a bomb then spend diamonds to continue. Those are some observationns based solely on Dairy News. More to come with live game.

So instead of a choice of tasks to take one at a time There will be baskets to fill as you go along? Solving the issue of "backing up machines without wanting to collect items" And solving the "forgetting to select the task 1st" issue

First of all, thank you Frog for posting the screenshots.
Now I must wonder why Lavinia diminished her great hair day (see screenshot #1) by wearing a shirt whose color matches her hair. ;-)

Thanks Frog for sharing.
It seems a nice and relaxed event, compared to the other events of the similar nature. I just speculate from the picture that there will be 30 basket of 25 points everyday (hopefully "simple" items are asked"), and 750 points is the cap for daily gifts that one will need choose (e.g., as in the photo: either 2 dynamites, or 1 shovel + 2 axes).
I wish game currency (gold) could have been used, instead of diamonds, to keep the prizes in lucky bonus when encountering a bomb as this is an event, and not requiring diamonds would enable all players to enjoy lucky bonus within the event. Hoping that SC considers.

Very cute County Fair
Why a bomb? (Not at a county fair special event !) Even in the town, win something I need, I am done, not a gambler.
They make me nervous. Hoping to relax. Even if little tasks and little cute reward of a new little deco for the farm. I would be good with this.

Very cute County Fair Why a bomb? (Not at a county fair special event !) Even in the town, win something I need, I am done, not a gambler... I recall watching Clash of Clans developer Jonas Collaros informing his audience at GDC 2015 the following takeaway: Clash is a free-to-play game, so monetization is part of the game design. Moreover, monetization is a *factor* in game design, but monetization isn't the *purpose* of game design.
Mr. Collaros warned his fellow developers "if any of us fall into the trap that monetization is the purpose of game design, then we'd fail as game designers." Similarly, I think the bomb in Hay Day is monetization, a factor of game design and not the purpose of game design. BTW, when I shared the highlights of Mr. Collaros's presentation years ago in the now defunct Supercell forums, then Clash Community Manager Darian Vorlick told him about it and he was surprised people still found his presentation useful. Indeed, the video is nine years old and it's still offering insights about Supercell games. Source: GDC video entitled " Clash of Clans: Designing Games That People Will Play For Years "

Big farm had no trouble finishing in less than a few mins after the event started, even won a puzzle piece in round 2 of the first daily bomb shuffle 😁
Baby farm 1 got as far as bomb shuffle and almost immediately in round 1 found a bomb 🥲
Baby farm 2 got as far as bomb shuffle and after flipping 2 good cards panicked and took the goods and ran 😆
Can't see me bothering with filling baskets on baby farms (beyond bomb shuffle) for the kind of generic prizes on offer

I have only done it on the main farm and doubt I will bother on the baby one. I don’t think I am really interested unless the prizes improve. I don’t like the bomb in the valley or in this. I usually quit if I get something I want.

Looked at day 1 rewards and definitely had no interest. Only vouchers, maps, and hammers. The most unappealing rewards. Giving it a miss.
i had a look at the whole week and it was similar. Drills, occasional SEM BEM but definitely not worth the effort. 80% of the rewards were fire sale at the daily dirt.

I notice that my main farm (level 258) and my second farm (level 102) each get 2 "lucky" bonus opportunities, but my smaller farms get only one.
My third farm is level 63, so the point at which it changes is somewhere between 64 and 101.

It would be interesting to see what others are experiencing regarding their level and how many lucky bonuses are available to them. Edit- I've just checked all of my farms and my level 60 farm has 2 lucky bonuses, so not sure what's going on with this...

I assumed that this would work in a similar way to so many things in Hay Day, where the farm level dictates what you can do. It now seems to be totally random! Thanks Tahoe 😊

My level 35 farm has two lucky bonuses.
Also, be careful filling a basket with the last of a crop... you won't get a warning (at least I didn't). That doesn't worry me though on my level 35 as my main will just provide some.

Not interested in this event. Looking at the rewards for the whole week. Baskets asked for worthy items, but the rewards aren’t interesting given what you have to offer. The rewards given throughout the week is what I get from wheating, so big mis on the SC part again. Good is that the lucky bonus game doesn’t influence the 3 daily rewards you can get.

Did experiment, you can continue filling baskets after you got the daily rewards. You won’t get any county fair ribbons and reward (coin/xp) is lower compared selling at max price in your RSS.

Very strange. Seems like what you get is only luck.
I also have only one lucky bonus on my farms. My main is level 80. The others are lower. And I have only tools and vouchers.
No scrolls, no chick vouchers.
Can't understand why it is so different. Not very fair at all.
I like the idea. It is easy to do. But the prizes should be better and they should give every one the same amount of scrolls, puzzles and chick vouchers during the week.
In this way it is only frustrating.

Just took a second look on my farms to confirm what I saw the first time. Main farm as well as babyfarms not 1 " lucky opportunity" for an additional and perhaps better reward. Zero, nada, and I have 4 farms.
My biggest baby has 1 permit the third day. It's the one reward worthwhile to work for. Perhaps, if I feel like it. I'm not very eager for permits anymore, especially not for my babyfarm, it's too unimportant.
The remaining stuff being offered is totally irrelevant for me. As already said, couldn't be less appealing. I pass.

I thought the rewards were with the lucky bonus games. My baby farms that are in the level 30ish have two lucky bonus options. But in the daily reward columns only stuff I don’t need/want. But there are players that have scrolls etc in the daily rewards as I understand from Donkeyfans posting? If that is so, well that’s a county unfair instead of a county fair. 😂

If this message finds Camilla, I would like her to know that I really enjoy this new format of "dumping event" (winks). The old format created chaos in DD but this one brings pure order value for each item I choose to fill those basket. I'm a happy Frog.
I'm having some fun that does not require external interacting, no need to wait for someone to come clear your shop, and little downtime compare to boat/truck or town.
Suggestions: Let's bring double coins to the Fair, shall we?

The rewards aren't needed by my main farm because I don't expand it anymore. They are helpful to my second farm though, as it does continue to expand. So, I'm mostly playing the event on that farm (so I don't have to keep transferring EM's to it!)

Very unfair! Some have scrolls and I also read (and saw) some having chick vouchers. Even 2 in the week. And I also heard from puzzles, I think. But here I am not sure. donkeyfan you are having zero lucky bonus? Did I understand this right? On all farms? That is really unusual. Are you sure? So on the bottom there is written 0/0 in your farms? Not 0/1? Because you have to play to receive the lucky bonus.
